They also closed off the wide archway (which allowed the flushing sounds of the closest restroom bleed into the house). Now only a single curtained entrance remains six or seven feet from where the rest rooms are. They did a fantastic job and from what I understand, the lobby will be further renovated in the future as well as other construction to help make the theatre the best it can be. I saw my first performance at the DLT in 2007 and got involved with the theatre in 2011. It really is a charming space to enjoy community theater and (should the reader be inclined) to get creatively involved. Unfortunately, its location in a residential area on a rather hilly section of Dover, NJ is perhaps the only considerable con regarding the theatre but there are ample parking spots about and a municipal parking lot two blocks away for theatergoers. I gave this theatre a four star review only because of the few shortfalls that naturally come with a small theatre. The theatre has no room for tall sets but for a small historical theatre but the stage has a wonderful width and depth that's been home to some absolutely wonderful sets, excellent productions and first rate performances. There is no way this theatre can compare with the Paper Mill Playhouse, but among the many community theatres in Northern New Jersey, Dover Little Theare more than holds its own and on those special and not seldom occassions, surpasses them with the quality of the acting.

The facility was well organized and managed by a friendly staff of volunteers Attendance was sold out (350) for Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives, acoustic country/ bluegrass, fitting for this venue. Acoustic were very good and I'll jump at any chance to return!

He remembered me saying I wanted to see it on Broadway (good listening, husband) and looked up the theatre. We bought our tickets and headed to the show last night. It was awesome! I don't know how the theatre managed to attract performers who were absolutely perfect for their roles. If you are a big fan of the original Broadway cast soundtrack, you won't be disappointed--this company is outstanding. When a small mishap occurred, the actors took it and ran with it, adding even more humor to an already funny production. As for the theatre, it is tiny, which means there's not a bad seat in the house. They sell water and coffee for super cheap (I think $1 for water, $2 for coffee?) and there is plenty of parking out back. Tickets are $30 for general admission, plus a $2.50 service fee. There are new productions every month or two, and you don't have to go to Manhattan to get there! Hooray!!!

The old stone church/performance center holds a variety of music events. Lat nights performance with Steve Earle (recently inducted into the Grand Ole Opry) celebrating his 50 year career with Storyteller format. Opening was Zandi Holup an emerging artist with a bright future. The volunteers go out of their way to make the patrons feel comfortable always a pleasure to chat with. I look forward to a return visit.

The venue was really intimate and every seat in the house is a good one. My son really enjoyed being able to sit up so close to the action. All the actors were from local schools, and they were all excellent. The Simbas, both the young and the older version, were real standouts. Really friendly staff as well. If you have some time to kill before or after the show, there's a great little playground right next door.

First time visitor to the Sparta Renaissance Fair at Camp Sacajawea, Sparta,NJ. We arrived early…read more(10:30) and got parking spot near the entrance gate. Plenty of folks directing traffic which was a big help. We noticed they used shuttle busses for people who arrived later. The festival was well laid out, plenty of room to mingle and meander around, with trails leading to and fro. Everyone was friendly and truly in a festive mood. Many activities (archery, blacksmith,etc) A Viking Village and plenty of food vendors scattered around the loop. Especially loved Sue's House of Fudge with many varieties of tasty smooth Fudge. Many vendors, Vixen En Garde was a fun theatre trio, Mermaids, and assorted shows thru out the day for every age and interest. Look forward to returning.

Not a lot of clothing options. Mostly accessories booths. Food is provided by food trucks who do take card. Flushing privies are at a building belonging to the camp grounds that they've turned into a stage/pub in the middle. Cider/beer is $8. Taverns are cash only, which btw, there is a beautiful speakeasy-like tavern that is 21+ and that makes me SOOO HAPPY! Real rennies will fully appreciate this! The tavern wench is even in character. Huzzah to her! All around this Faire seems much more well organized and reasonable than the one in Tuxedo that I've been going to since I was 12. Even though the storm forced us out early, I can't wait to be back! Huzzah to a Faire that is more about YOU and not your wallet!
