Smooth and safe drive despite all the construction on the Kennedy and we arrived on time. Driver helped unload and made sure we had everything. They took CC through their phone app with a tap and I got an emailed receipt. I also booked them coming back and told them we needed the same setup. Sal was responsive and made sure the driver was there. Our flight was delayed but the driver was still there. Same charge and great driver with the car seats strapped in by the fire department. They were rock solid.

Taxi rate calculators estimated $7-$9 for the ride, so I expected similar cost. We the called back to confirm a car on the way, they took payment. To my surprise it was $36. A second surprise came when the car picking me up was an Uber. So apparently, they used my $36 to book me an $8 Uber ride. The Uber driver was also surprised.

This Cab was in front of me doing 10 miles less than the speed limit at 55 zone! It started to get congested on the freeway from him being in the wrong lane! I went to the middle and accelerated, and signaled to get back on the left and kept going! He started to chase me , and came on my right side so angry doing at least 80mph almost sideswiped me from getting to close, and got in front of my car with constant stabbing on the brakes so I bump into him from behind! I took a picture of his plate , and called the company to complain about the behavior! The person that answered said he will report this to the supervisor and will call back to explain the behavior! Obviously no one called back!!! This is a big shame when a transportation company behave like that. Total reckless!!! I will file a complaint with BBB as well...

In the past, these guys have been pretty good. Last week, they started out good. I had a 5:00 am…read morepickup to go to the airport. Reserved online. Their website (via Curb) is a bit clunky, the interface straight outta 2003, and doesn't seem to send any confirmation emails, which is odd. But hey, at least you can review your orders. Anyway, no emailed or texted confirmations, but around 4:40 am I get a confirmation robo-call, then a call from the driver that he is on his way. He arrives at 4:55, and the whole trip is smooth as silk. Perfect. Today, going back from the airport at a more normal time, it's a total snafu. No texts, no calls, no confirmations. I call dispatch about 20 minutes before my scheduled time. (My flight arrived early. I had the flight number in my reservation notes.) Can I get someone to come by a bit early? "Well, we don't have a minivan available." (The worst call quality, too, I can barely understand the dispatcher. Is she speaking from an active runway or something?) OK, that's fine, I never asked for a minivan. I'll take a sedan. "Sure, we'll get a car and give you a call in a few." Fifteen minutes go by. It's now approaching my scheduled pickup. Still no call. We're tired and want to get home. I call them back. "Your driver will call you in 10-15 minutes." Uh, sure. Screw this, we go upstairs and order an Uber. More expensive, but I know where it is and it gets there fast. As we're going upstairs, I get a callback. "Sorry we couldn't get you a cab, but we have a minivan at the airport now, only you said you prefer a sedan?" No, I didn't say that! Forget it, I've already got an Uber. You had your chance. These guys' rates to the airport are very good, but they've got to sort out their communications and airport pickup. Otherwise, the hassle is hardly worth the savings. I'm glad Uber is available: it was fast, communications were transparent, and eliminated the stress of getting home.

He kept mixing up the request. That night I got a call at 12:30 in the morning asking if I needed a cab. I said yes, but not until the next night, and the caller hung up on me. The following day, concerned that my reservation was not processed correctly, I called again and they said it was all set for my reserved time. The cab was there when I arrived (surprisingly). I asked how much it would cost, since AH has 3 different ranges from $55-61. The driver responded $66 ($5-11 over what the website said). I said that's not what it says on the website. He didn't respond, however I was tired after my trip and just wanted to go home, so I agreed. Upon arriving I said that I didn't have enough cash, and only had $64 on me and would like to use a card, he refused to take my card, however gladly took the $. They are unorganized and unethical and I'll never use them again. And unless you would like to get over-charged and worry that your cab will not arrive, you shouldn't either.

On the morning of my very early pick-up, I had scheduled 5am but it ended up being about 5:15 am as the driver had issues finding my office. I ended up walking to the main street to help him in finding me. He played classical music on the way there which in turn made me feel classy. He also chatted quite a bit which I can appreciate most of the time but for whatever reason that morning, I just wanted to kind of zone out in my solitude. Either way, I was pleased for the most part and would book Suburban Rides again for an airport trip.
