Spacey room with a true "double bed" rather than 2 twins pushed together. Modern bathroom. Great double outlet available in the shaver section on the bathroom--no need for converter. The best part is breakfast. Champagne available in regular or pink! Fancy buffet style. Only complaint is to provide an extra bed sheet between the comforter. And location. Maybe 2 metro stop from the area. Overall, a solid 4 stars in my book. It was ranked as 3/stars but I disagree. I stayed at a bunch of 4star hotels throughout Europe and I have to say there are no where close.

This hotel is right across from an u-bahn (subway) stop, which made it very convenient for us to get around. It also had very reasonable rates compared to the 4 other hotels I had checked out prior to finding Star Inn. The staff were all very friendly and spoke English. Pros: - location - price - very clean - free wifi Cons: - no gym - breakfast not included (not really a big deal, but all other hotels had it included, but then again this is probably why it was cheaper than other places) - they will not deliver extra towels, pillows, etc. instead you have to pick up at front desk Would definitely stay here again.

There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance and plenty of car services to get in and out of town. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating to us from the first moment when we walked in. The bartender with a awesome beard is very friendly, helpful and makes some great drinks. Two of my favorite things about the room was their rain shower head and their cool bendable pillows. You need to experience it to see how nice they are. Rooms are tidy but 3 of us were comfortable in the room.

There are some wonderful places to explore near the hotel that would otherwise be missed if you were staying in one of the more touristy areas (which you will visit anyway). The hotel is modern and clean, this was very important to us. While I love old-world charm, I like to know that where I lay my head to sleep isn't under decades of grime. The food is eh. We had breakfast here twice, but unless you get a deal for it, I don't recommend it ... you are better served exploring one of the many coffee houses throughout the City. Ask the reception lots of questions, especially for recommendations, they never failed us. We will definitely stay here again the next time we find ourselves in the enchanting Wien City.

She was unprofessional and simply couldn't be bothered with anything. When we checked into our room, we learned our AC was not working, as is the case it seems with most of the rooms. We notified her and she said she would have maintenance come to check it out in 30 minutes; they did not show up until 24 hours later. Each time we would pass her in the lobby, or when she was smoking outside the front door, she would just shoot us nasty looks as though we'd done something to offend her. On our last night, our floor lost power. We called down to the front desk multiple times; no answer. Many guests were congregating in the hallways for light when she happened to walk by. When I asked her if she had an update (assuming someone had reached her to report the problem), she was completely unaware of the situation. She said she had to call maintenance to come back bc there was no one onsite to fix the problem. For the next 3 hours, the power went on and off. During this time, the same rude receptionist thought it would be appropriate to call us every 20 minutes to ask if our power was back on, even though it was well into the evening when we should've been sleeping (we had to get up early the next day to leave Vienna). The whole situation was a disorganized mess. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel.

In fact the bed filled most of the room, so plan to step over your suitcase(s). No closet. Large double bed, but then no where to stand. Don't plan on two people in the standard room. Oh, yes, the "family size" room is the same, except for a pull-out sofa for two more twins. No way you could get in 4 people. Reception was unfriendly and curt. Not all what you might expect in the "hospitality" industry. Several people we encountered over the course of three nights replicated the negative attitude, completely unaccommodating and arrogant. Apparently, high occupancy of one-night stand travelers gives them license to be nasty and unapologetic for over-promising and under-delivering. The only bright spot was the bar, where we did find a service-oriented staff -- terrific by comparison. Overall, never stay again with this rotten chain. Test at your own risk.

I write my review from this viewpoint. First of all - our group package included breakfast which was really fantastic, varied and delicious! They had very much variety and very good quality! The coffee was from these automatic machine and we made our own cappuccino and it was pretty delicious. This idea of machine coffee would have previously sounded like some weird gas station coffee from the US but alas we are in another place and it was really tasty and we enjoyed. They had all sorts of meats, cheeses, breads, fruit. Oh it was great. Also little pate' and nutella and jams. We loved. Really the quality of the food was good and the employees attentive. The room was a good size - not huge but plenty of room. Like the bed took up most of the room and only one person could walk past the end of the bed at once - but then there was more room past the bed. No big deal. There did seem to be plenty of room to put our stuff around. We had two giant suitcases that fit underneath a counter just fine. The view was amazing. In Vienna it was warm. We were warm. We were always - warm. WARM! Outside it was HOT. Everything about Vienna and the beverages were warm to us. The room while not WARM was not cool. The windows would not open. So we struggled to cool off back at the room. I do not blame the hotel. I am from Ohio, USA. It is very seldom hot here and we always have a breeze and don't even regularly see sunshine. Here people did not seem to be overly warm - just us. But just a note that we were warm. We were on an upper floor so this could have contributed to it. And it was June and unseasonably warm there at the time. The hotel staff were all very professional and nice! And the lobby was comfortable and oh gosh we just really loved it and it was convenient to the subway or whatever they call it. It was close to Westbahnhof station and of course the trains are excellent. It was also close to a pedestrian area - Mariahilfer street which had many shops and restaurants. We just loved! It is so trendy to be negative. I didn't travel dang halfway around the world just to pick stuff apart and have a bad time.
