They could use more comfortable chairs maybe and some extra tint on the windows. I was there in the early evening, so the sun was blaring in. I'll be back next week for a facial with Summer. I went for a hair cut 1/10/24. When i went to pay, they charged 20% above what I normally pay for a haircut. They did now warn of their price increase during my call for the appointment or when i walked In. There was no sign at the store of the increase in charges for 2024. No text or customer emails about their new policy. The next day, 1/11/24 I received a call from the salon that they had over charged $10, and requested my credit card info to reimburse $10. I checked my card and instead of reimbursing they charged an additional $100.50. for a total of $216.00 for 1 haircut. I can't believe the way these people are doing business. I was looking for a salon where i can be a regular customer. They need to get their business practices together. i am fuming and shouldn't have to deal with all of this. read more

It's been several months since I had my hair cut, but I was BLOWN AWAY!!! Her name was either Holly or Hannah (I'm terrible with names!). She was super friendly, while also being very professional. The salon was very clean, and well decorated.. very inviting. All of the products were clean and well displayed. Now for the best part! All told, I received a wash, hot oil treatment/scalp massage, deep conditioning, cut, color adjustment, blow dry, and style AND THE PRODUCTS!!! The girl who booked my appointment over the phone was super thorough and explained their methods and how things work. I got a text to confirm and a reminder text which was really helpful! Now to my appointment...I went with a fresh talent level stylist, Lyssa, and she was AMAZING. We went over what I was wanting and she consulted with other stylists to make sure the application of color was the perfect choice. I felt like she really cared about taking care of me and doing it in the best way possible! I really appreciated her taking the time to show me which colors she would be using and asking for others input. Basically my hair turned out EXACTLY how I was wanting it to! I called to set up an appointment the day before with a first talent hair stylist, and they hooked me up! I was surprised I got a spot so soon, but I was super happy. Anyway, walked in just a couple minutes before and my hair stylist got me immediately - barely any wait time, which was awesome. This is the third Aveda salon I've tried, and I love them so much because their products smell so GOOD. Although from what I've experienced the quality of service can vary. I had Kaitlin, who was just the right amount of friendly. Not too talkative or too quiet. My hair turned out exactly as I asked, with a slight wrinkle - I asked to get it angled, longer in the front and shorter in the back, but I think I confused her because shortly after I said that I don't want the assymetry to be TOO drastic. So it ended up being all the same length, which isn't a big deal. She cut it to the perfect length (the last time I got a haircut the stylist had thinned it out so I asked her to catch my hair up to it). I'll probably come back to this place. read more

Sarah P is one of the best stylist I've ever used! I've been using her for over a year now, and I've only had wonderful experiences with her. For the past few years I've had serious trust issues with stylists, and couldn't find any that worked for me. I decided to try Sarah out after numerous friends recommended her. I'm surprised not to see any glowing reviews on here, because it's been nothing but fantastic reviews by word of mouth. She has an eye for styles that work best for your face, and she's one of the few people that have figured out how to work with my fine, straight, stubborn Asian hair. With 100% confidence I can trust her to do whatever she thinks works best. She's the first stylist that I feel comfortable walking in with a general idea of what I want, and letting her work out the details. If I was feeling more spontaneous, I'd still feel comfortable asking her to choose whatever style she wanted and thought would look good on me. I did come in with a picture once, and she got that down to a T as well, with a few adjustments based off of what she knew worked best with me and my preferences. Since I don't have specific knowledge in the beauty realm, I don't always understand what she's doing. Sometimes it can be a bit scary to see the thinning scissors or other tools, but she's always explained it if I was notably worried or asked. Despite my moments of uneducated fears, her methods have always worked out perfectly. If you're looking to get a balayage, she does a perfect job. I've never had any splotchy areas or concerns. She's also framed each one perfectly with the haircut I was getting. Over time I've watched her change her methods based off what she's been learning. She seems to have an interest in continued education and growth, which is definitely a plus for any stylist. If pricing is a concern, this place falls along the same line as most salons. It's not great clips or beauty school cheap, but it's not ridiculous for what you're getting either. I can be a bit cheap, but I find the service here worth it. I don't believe they add on a large price spike for long hair cuts either (few other salons I've been to have done this). read more

Tanner is awful. Cut 5 inches off and messed up the rest so badly, leaving so many holes, even their top stylist Tippin said it was a disaster and there was nothing she could do to fix it. The little she did cut made it worse. The only thing I can do now is wear a hat or pigtails until it grows out. I had long waist length THICK and wavy hair and I wanted a layered shorter cut. She knew exactly what I was talking about and did an amazing job! I absolutely love this place. I was greeted very promptly and received amazing service. I received a haircut by Sarah P. She was so incredibly kind, and made sure I knew exactly what was going on the entire time. My hair looks amazing and I absolutely love it. I have really thick hair, and we cut a good chunk of it off, but I feel cuter than ever. She talked to me about what I could do so my hair felt weightless (something I desperately wanted) but still remain long enough to style. She gave me different options and asked me how I felt about it every time she took the scissors to my hair. She was very considerate about how I felt and I just love that. The price is beyond reasonable! I received a haircut, shampoo, warm towel wrap, and head massage during my one haircut appointment. I cannot recommend this place enough. Great and talented staff. I've gotten cuts done by multiple stylists at different levels Aveda offers and have never been disappointed. The main part of my 5 stars though is their esthetician! Kelsey is an absolute wizard and the kindest soul. I don't trust anyone else with my waxing and genuinely look forward to this monthly because the whole experience is so relaxing and always awesome. Does this look like a nice, professionally color Blonde root touch up look to you?! They ruined my hair!!!! I would never recommend this place!! The stylist kambri was horrible, inexperienced, and completely unprofessional!!! I came in for a simple blonde root touch up and she dyed my hair bright orange then tried to fix it by dying it gray, dull, black/brownish and left! No apologies-nothing. After being there for over 2 hours and clearly upset and crying because my hair is completely ruined-the salon owner took her time in finally coming over to speak to me. She said my hair was already ruined and wanted me to sign a waiver in order for her to be able to attempt to fix it..what kind of customer service is this??!?? She proceeded to try to remove the toner and left my hair literally bright orange bozo the clown. No apologies at all, couldn't care less about ruining my hair and causing all of this unnecessary frustration and damage. She said there "was too much damage done today, so if I do anything to your hair it will melt off." NEVER GO TO THIS SALON! They will ruin your hair and couldn't care less about their customers. I have naturally blonde eyelashes and eyebrows, so I usually get them dyed. I've been doing this for a looong time and have never had any previous problems. When I first moved to Denton and called around to see who did this service, Davanti assured me that they do this all the time... they're pro's! Not so much. It was a nightmare. My hair is brown. My eyebrows were jet black. They used the exact same dye on my eyebrows that they did on my eyelashes. And even worse, the dye wouldn't come off of my skin. I had patches of black dye all over my eyes and around my eyebrows. NIGHTMARE. You would think that after this was brought to the manager's attention, she would have offered to refund my $65. Again, not so much. She tried to give me a shampoo sample and told me to scrub my eyes and eyebrows with it over the next few days to see if the dye would come off. I did request a refund, and she gave it to me, but it took over a week for all of the dye to come off my skin. read more

The first time I went I had not gotten a hair cut in a year or so (bad, I know), but I knew someone who worked there and she reccomended the salon. My first experience was actually really great, the cut turned out just about perfect, though anything was an improvement from where it was. I got the cut at a discounted price for $35 because I was referred by someone. I was happy with my first cut, so I made an appointment for 3 months later with the same stylist (I don't actually remember who it was, I haven't gone back nor gotten another haircut elsewhere since because the second experience was so bad). Mistakingly, I made the appointment first thing in the morning, 10 am (hah!). My stylist seemed tired and aloof, she didn't even seem to remember me, though I'm sure she knew I was a repeat customer. I told her I wanted a cut like how it was done last time, and explained I wanted a 'tapered effect', rather than 'straight across and bulky'. After an excruciating 45 minutes of "pampering", she gave me a mirror to check out the back, and I was SORELY disappointed, she literally cut my hair in the exact fashion I told her I did not want. Mind you, the entire time she was cutting my hair, she was yawning and not attempting to make conversation at all. I asked her to fix it, cut in a tapered fashion, as if to form a triangle when the hair is behind my shoulders. Another 20 minutes of hair-pulling, and the cut was some-what fixed, but truly no where near what it was the first time. The worst part? I failed to hand off my referral card to anybody new (probably for the better), so instead of saving $20 on the cut, I paid $55 for a disappointing experience, still tipped her $5, and she did not even offer any sort of apology for fucking it up the first time. I really hate getting haircuts, and the 'stylist' at this salon is a big reason why. Don't go here, especially not for a second time, the stylists do not make any attempt to get to know their customers, which is not the way to deliver professional services. Very disappointed, I'll never go to another Aveda salon, clearly they don't really care about the people they're meant to service. read more

I'm actually moving away from Denton and I'm so sad to be leaving my great hair stylist, Hilliary. Davanti Salon is the best salon I have ever been to, hands down! I am very particular about my hair services and Hilliary has never disappointed. Her price is very affordable for a hair cut, and she gives an amazing head massage with essential oils. I had horrible cramps one day when going to get a haircut, and I swear the head massage cured me (haha). She is also incredible with color! I got a balayage blonde and absolutely loved it. Ask for Hilliary and tell her Sierra recommended you to go to her, and you'll get a recommendation discount! Pros: - Amazing head massage / shampooing sesh - Awesome cut - Awesome color - Free beverages / snacks Cons: - Really the only con I could MAYBE say is that they try to sell you the products they use during your service, which some people may dislike things being sold to them. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with the hair cut I received here. Sarah butchered my hair with the thinning/texture shears, and I left with frizzier and more tangled hair than when arrived. Not sure what part of "I just want the dead ends cut off and I don't want layers or shaping" means do most of the hair cut with the thinning shears. I could NOT believe the amount of hair she took off with those. Not to mention the amount of baby/frizzy hairs that now stick out all over my head and in my face. I've only been here a couple of times, but I recommend Brooke! I've not tried any other stylists at this salon and cannot vouch for them, but she's done a great job on my hair. She's given me exactly what I've asked for in a haircut. The price is a little more than I was used to spending on just a cut, but worth it. Oh, and the hours are great! Once again, five star service!! After my last visit about 6 or 7 months ago I decided to try somewhere cheaper. BAD IDEA! I ended up looking like a pumpkin with orangey hair! :( I came back with my tail between my legs to Haley and asked her to please make me look normal again! I've been to this salon several times. This visit was about the same as others, with the exception that my hair was cut about 1.5-2 inches shorter than I was wanting after growing my hair out for 6 months. I also was nipped when the stylist was evening up the bottom at the nape of my neck. I was shocked when I opened my eyes and saw the length! Nothing I can do now except wait for it to grow out again. I have also been having extreme difficulty styling the cut because of where the weight line is located. I contacted the salon today and they offered me a recut or a deep conditioning treatment. I of course don't want anymore cut off and don't need a treatment. I asked for my money back and they gladly obliged.
