It's such a fun setup. I will say don't expect to get anything near retail price on packs -- you're obviously paying market price here -- but if you have some money to spend and just want to test your luck, this is such a fun place to do it. I also bought a promo Snorlax card and they sold it to me literally at market price, so I was super happy about that too. No crazy markup! The staff is super nice as well. The guy who helped me out even recommended a few packs, and I ended up pulling an SIR Squirtle out of Scarlet and Violet! I think it's one of the top chase cards, so I left the store on such a high. Select the packs you want and they'll get you those packs. What is pretty cool too is they give you a few sleeves and top loaders incase you get any hits, which we didn't. Some of the packs are kind of decently priced, but the thing that sucks for me is that the packs were priced pretty higher than market price. If the prices were a little cheaper then I feel like it would make this place a little more enjoyable. If you're expecting to rip some of the newer stuff, you can get a decent deal but anything older is way more expensive. Overall this was fun to come to as this aesthetic isn't something you come across too often. Definitely worth a trip even if you don't plan to buy anything. But I'm pretty sure you'll buy a pack or two.

I'm pretty new to the hobby (baseball cards specifically), and they were approachable without making me feel like I was walking into some exclusive collector club. They have a really nice selection and, most importantly, the prices didn't feel outrageous. That's huge considering baseball card collecting can go completely off the rails and sometimes feels more like an investment market than a hobby these days. After several minutes of deliberating my kiddo picked a pack to purchase.. up at the counter they totaled up our purchase and ended up tossing in those 10 cards we grabbed from the box outside for free. They also grabbed a stack from behind the counter (that was likely destined for the box out front) and told him to pick whatever he wanted from there. I know those cards in the box out front don't have much value (being 5 for a $1 and all) so it probably wasn't a big deal to these guys running the shop to give away a few dollars worth but it means a lot to this mom. Super thankful for these guys and their engagement...my lil guy went home super happy w/ a whole bunch of new cards for his binder. Other fun things to share about this shop: - Besides Pokémon they also had plenty of cards to check out: sports cards, magic the gathering, kpop demon hunters, marvel collector cards, etc. There are new packs and vintage cards. - There's a bunch of tables set up in the store.. so that's kindof perfect while you're waiting for your kid(s) to pick out a pack of cards. The store is lot's of fun to browse and is pretty upscale compared to most. The store is an official submission center for grading. You can hand your cards to the staff and they will pack and ship your cards to the grading companies with insurance. The cards will be shipped back to the store and they will notify you when they are ready for pick up. Major companies can submit their cards for grading through them to PSA, Beckett ( BGS ) and SGC. This is a great store for collectors and for those who just are just intrigued by the industry. My boyfriend and I passed the shop one night when it was closed and knew we'd have to come back. Luckily, a friend's birthday was last month, and he's a Warhammer fan. We ended up buying two novels in the Horus Heresy series. They were in great condition and reasonably priced, and our friend loved them! If you're not into Warhammer, this store has nothing else to offer. While not very large, it is the only official Games Workshop Warhammer store in NYC, so it's unique! If you're into tabletop games, head to Greenwich Village and check them out. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, so don't be afraid to ask questions.
