She made us feel like her only client, and kept us calm during every step of the convoluted and intimidating process of buying our first house. Melissa first stood out on getting back to us after reaching out on Yelp looking for realtors. It was easy to tell right away that she gets things done, which is absolutely essential in the cut throat and competitive real estate market in Ventura County at the moment. Melissa also took the time to get to know us to truly find a place right for us. On our first house tour, she had a very specific plan in mind to show us potential matches in different locations spread out around the area. It was mostly a fact finding mission, and it just showed how Melissa already cared about us and making sure we're happy in any potential place that we find. Good homes in our price range aren't readily available in this market, so we thought it would take awhile. We found our house in only nine toured houses all thanks to Melissa. We live about an hour and a half away from Ventura County, so it's not always easy to come out and see a home when it pops up, and speed is essential in this market. Melissa went the next day and took a video of the place to help us decide, and we submitted an offer just based on the video. Melissa helped us with the offer, and was absolutely essential as we countered three different times until it was our house. Melissa is very knowledgable about the market and the processes and kept us fully up to date on the other offers, and provided advice on how to make our offer the best possible for acceptance for each counter stage. Getting your offer accepted is extremely challenging, and that was only the beginning of this process. The 30 day escrow period is filled with landmines and potholes that Melissa helped us navigate expertly. We were thrown a ton of curve balls during the process, especially on the loan side of things, and Melissa was always there to chat, offer advice, and help as much as possible from the realtor side of things. We ended up not being able to close until 11 days after the original closing date because of the delay on the loan, but Melissa kept us at ease and on track with open negotiations with the seller so they didn't worry. We hit every disclosure date in plenty of time with Melissa in control, and even with all of the stresses, Melissa was always a calming influence. To show just how amazing Melissa is, her care for us didn't end when we got the keys. We had some issues pop up after move in related to our warranty coverage, and Melissa has been right there to help us file claims and stay on top of different service technicians. Melissa couldn't have done better in this whole process, as well as her partner Jason (who we never met, but he was always on top of all the backend processes, timing, and documentation). In addition, Dan Klein, the owner, was to pay LV change of tenancy fees of $80. Dan Klein and McKay with BPM charged me both the $80 and for the last day of Feb. even though the new tenant moved in on that day. This is all illegal. Nothing new for both McKay at BPM and Dan Klein. They are horrible and will charge you for things that are not even legal to charge you for. NEVER RENT FROM BPM!

I found out by a "screaming" woman outside my bedroom window asking the security quard who lives in this house, while looking into my bedroom. I checked to confirm that it had indeed been listed. Then, Christy NEVER posted the listing online to note that it was by appointment only and to not disturb the occupants. Even when I asked her to, she said she would update the site. I NEVER saw ANYTHING that showed she did this. Also, the property was NEVER posted with ANYTHING...including the all important notice of " by appt only" and "do not disturb occupant". As a result, I had other people looking in my windows, three times into my master bedroom while I was in bed, and knocking on my door. It was a nightmare that went on for 3 and 1/2 weeks. Since I live in Leisure Village, my landlord wanted to know why I just didn't call security. Well, they would be gone by the time security got here. He missed the whole point....and that is that NO CONSIDERATION NOR RESPECT was given to me. She took my peace of mind and my sense of security. AND, she wanted me to review all the appointments, approve them and call the main security gate to make sure they would be let in. At this point, I felt as if I were doing her job. WT!!!! The landlord and Christy sat in my living room and made promises that were never kept. She said I would be informed when the property was officially listed, I was not. She said that they would try to find an investor that would possibly continue my tenancy. I have yet to see anything to show that she tried. I do not take kindly to people who I invite into MY HOME and treat with respect, consideration and kindness........and they don't afford me the same. There was NO RESPECT NOR CONSIDERATION NOR KINDNESS SHOWN TO ME. Did I mention that I'm 70? Wow, can't believe how people treat us seniors these days. But, I've been a renter all of my life so I know that I am just a pay check. But, I've NEVER EVER been treated this way before. You've been warned!!
