So I called ahead to the Mercedes Dealer and talked to a nice lady, who said we do not work on RVs but gave me SOS Truck repair place as a recommendation. We Called and talked to the Owner there. Told him what was going on and he pretty much knew what was going on. We set up a appointment with them. We brought it in on a Thursday morning at 8 am. The Mechanic Don was right on it that worked on are rig. This guy is just amazing got everything fixed and we were back on the road in about 4 hours. I can't in good conscience recommend Vincent for service. He initially was very responsive and came…read moreout to change my battery pretty quickly, within about 90 minutes. When we discussed what I needed, I told him that I needed a battery installed in a 2019 Audi that had sat unused for about a year, and that I was in town visiting and didn't have any tools with me to do the job myself. He told me his service charge was $150.00 and that I would reimburse him for the cost of the battery. No problem, sounds fair enough. I sent him a picture of the VIN to identify the correct battery for the car. The first battery that he brought was obviously the wrong one, too small for the car. He went back to O'Reilly and brought another one out, installed it but the car still wouldn't start. I agreed to pay him for the work and reimburse him for the battery, which he stated cost $400.00. I made the mistake of not getting a receipt and paid him in cash. He told me the battery was purchased on his business account and that if I needed the receipt for any reason he could text it to us. The next day I had the car towed to a quality mechanic shop and they diagnosed a bad cell in the brand new battery and inadequate cold cranking power. I texted Vincent no less than three times over the course of the next three days asking very politely for the receipt, even offering to pay him an additional hour for labor to get my receipt. No reply. I finally had my mechanic call the commercial rep at O'Reilly, who agreed to reimburse me for the battery at a cost of $247.00. I don't object to a reasonable mark up, but to refuse to give me a receipt for a purchase and then refuse to reply is unfair and unprofessional, not to mention the dishonesty about me "reimbursing" him for the cost of the battery. I would not use this guy under any circumstances, he wasn't truthful about the cost and then refused to communicate when I was only trying to get reimbursed for a defective battery that he delivered and installed for me. Don't call this guy, and definitely don't pay in cash if you do.

I am not a mechanic and just mechanically inclined enough to get myself in trouble. In fact, I…read moredon't often find myself going to NAPA, and I have never been to the Gretna location in my life. However, I recently needed to install a no-sway weight distribution hitch on our newly acquired travel trailer, and the hardware (nuts & bolts) were bigger than anything I had in my limited tool set. As this hardware provided for a safer towing experience, I wanted to ensure I had the right sockets and wrenches for the hardware. Without even making a call, I knew NAPA would have everything I needed. I bought a 1/2" drive socket wrench, a 3/4" socket, a 13/16" socket, a 1-1/4" socket and a 1/2" drive 5/16" hex socket. I went to this location on 2 different locations in MAR 2021 and employees 44 & 36, whose names I cannot recall but were on my receipts, were both very helpful. I even bought a 1/2 drive impact socket for my travel trailer's lug nuts, as they are not included. Not knowing which size to get, I purchased 2 different sizes, did a dry fit, kept the 3/4" socket and returned the incorrect size. No muss, no fuss. Now I have the right tools for the job. They are quality tools and should last me a lifetime. The professionals here at NAPA treated me great and did not "judge me" on my lack of mechanical knowledge. I would definitely go back to this store if I ever found myself in need of high quality tools.
