If I can save one person from wasting time with this company by writing this review it will be…read moreworth it. My husband owns a small business, we bought a used box truck on July 24th at that time he spoke to David Lewis on the phone, he told Mr Lewis all the problems the truck had and David Lewis gave My husband a rough estimate of 1000$. He dropped the truck off on July 24th. My husband then spoke to Mr Lewis that Thursday, the 27th on the phone, David Lewis said he would email a quote that day. We need the box repaired on the truck and the sliding door. My husband never heard from any one and he emailed Mr Lewis on the 28th asking again about any repairs, still no response. At this point he is renting a uhaul while Jackson Truck and trailer Repair have the truck. My husband patiently waits to hear something from David Lewis as another week goes by. I am also my husbands secretary for our small business, so I jump on the phone on Aug 4th I finally get to speak to a man named Don. As I try to explain we still have not received a quote he argues with me calling me" lady ,lady lady I saw he faxed the estimate myself two weeks ago." I try to explain we don't have a fax as he very rudely cuts me off again saying" well then he emailed it I don't remember!!!" I try to say we haven't received an email and maybe he has the wrong email, at which point he cuts me off again , " miss, miss, lady.. the email would have got kicked back and it didn't." At this point I am trying to be super cool because we really need the truck, we have had to spend 300$ a week on a uhaul for our deliveries. I try to explain this as he insist on getting my name and number and will call me back. I do this and we do get an email a few hours later from Mr Lewis of an estimate. The estimate was dated Aug 3rd. -yesterday, not "two weeks ago". The estimate that Mr Lewis gave us two weeks prior on the phone, was a rough estimate of 1000$ which we understood. We figured even if its 2000 or even 2500$ that would still be in our budget. The estimate he finally sends us two weeks later was for SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS ??? This did not even include the repair on the sliding door?! My husband calls very politely and speaks to David Lewis and explains unfortunately that estimate was out of our budget. My husband asks about the door repair? He did not see that on the estimate in which Mr Lewis replies " I forgot about that, let me go take a look and I'll email you an estimate on that" , Friday afternoon came and went with no response once again. Once again my husband emails on Aug 7th!! to ask about the door estimate, no response, Today is Aug 10 and my husband finally went to pick up the truck with no repairs done and no apologize for the horrific delay. They had our truck for 3 weeks , we had to pay for a uhaul in order to work. The truck still needs to be fixed.

I was very hesitant to deal with this place because of all the really bad reviews. There are several good ones as well, but definitely more 1-2 star reviews than any company would want. Maybe they changed the staff up a bit, many of these complaints are older. I've worked in sales a while and have been to places where you walk in, nobody greets you, you wonder why am I considering giving this place money, think about leaving, 5 minutes go by, but you really need something so you deal with it and never return. I walked in and was greeted / started getting help looking at bikes within 1 minute. Waiting around to give someone my money is something I don't put up with. Overall it was a great experience and I would deal with them again, but there were a couple of small negatives which is the reason for only 4 stars. So you have the little sales area and then I dealt with a woman in a small office behind this area once I decided on the bike and filled out some basic paperwork. We were going over paperwork for the financing and I specifically asked about a warranty since it's only a 2015. I was told no warranty. Ok, maybe she thinks I mean the warranty from Suzuki so I ask about being able to purchase any type of warranty and was told there is no warranty at all available. This made me pretty nervous combined with the reviews I had read. I worried more about possible issues with the bike than I typically would have. I don't finalize everything then and return with a friend to take an extra look at it for me because I found it very strange a dealership would not offer any type of optional warranty. I return with my friend and spoke with Donald and an older gentleman who kind of came across like he might have been the owner. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I mention to him that because there was no warranty I wanted to come by and have my friend who has owned bikes for years to just start it up and take a quick look for me. He informs there is a warranty and gets me prices / print out to take home. 3 year warranty from a 3rd party company they deal with. This was great, I just wish I was told this at first and I could have saved that extra trip, but not a big deal. Two more small issues left. First is I thought the title & notary fees seemed a bit high. $210 notary / document fee and $113 registration / title charge. Everyone I spoke with said it seems a little high, but they also said that is going to be about the same pretty much anywhere because a lot of places raise the cost of these fees some to make their money. The notary one is what seems pretty high. Maybe it's a bunch of papers to be notarized and you pay for each one? Not a huge issue though because I was fine with the overall price. My final price with all taxes and fees was only about 100$ above the blue book. The last minor issue was the financing if your credit is not so great. They got me financed from this place in New Orleans that just gives out high interest loans all day. It didn't look like a typical bank, but the person I dealt with there was fantastic and got everything finished quickly. The only issue is that it would be nice if New Orleans Power Sports which is actually in Kenner and barely in Kenner, it's nearly in St. Charles Parish could handle all of this from their offices. Had to drive all the way to New Orleans without any information on interest rates or anything regarding the loan. It just happened to work out that this place is right by the VA Hospital and I had an appointment that day so it wasn't too bad. Remember the little "no warranty" issue? Well due to this I held off on signing for the financing while I was in New Orleans with the finance company. I just wanted to go and see how much the interest was and everything since I am going in completely blind. If that warranty issue had not happened I would have signed that same day, but I had to return back in a couple days to sign and finalize everything. These issues might sound larger than they are, but they weren't that big of issues in the grand scheme of things. I got the bike I wanted at a price I liked. I have payments + motorcycle insurance for only a year that cost less than what I use to pay just for car insurance liability. From the sales department to maintenance crew, everyone was friendly and helpful.

This seems to be a common sentiment reflected throughout many of the reviews. The staff…read moredemonstrated a lack of professionalism. Be sure to review the fine print carefully. And Bobby - I do not make threats; I follow through on my commitments.

This may be the worst customer service I've ever received. I don't understand why people work…read moreplaces they hate. Just avoid this location at all costs. The most unfriendly and unhelpful people. Go to another location

Zero stars should be a choice. Do not use Uhaul under any circumstance…read more 1) A reservation is not really a reservation. They go in the morning, see what trucks are available and where and then assign you. My "reservation" was at the Veterans location 5 miles from my house. An hour before my pickup time I was sent a text that I had to go to their Michoud location. 27 miles from my house. A 35 minute drive each way. So there goes an hour of my day, The scheduling person actually had the nerve to tell me it wasn't an hour drive to Michoud. It isn't but since I can't teleport with the truck back across the city to my house, it was over an hour. 2) The drop off was just as bad. The assigned contract location in Baton Rouge was closed. No lockbox. After a 20 minute wait for someone to answer the Uhaul service number, the rep told me the location was open from 11-7, AS I WAS STANDING THERE IN FRONT OF A PADLOCKED DOOR at 2:30 AND NO LIGHTS ON INSIDE. So there customer service help line does not know what the hours are of the drop off locations. AND I was told dropping off at a location not in the contract would cost me extra. 3) Another 20 minutes on hold and we were given an alternate drop off. It took us 2.5 hours to load up and get to Baton Rouge. It also took 2.5 hours to give them their truck back. 4) The automated check out didn't work. The starting mileage in the system for our truck was 4,000 miles higher than the actual starting mileage so we couldn't put in our ending mileage because it was less than their inaccurate starting mileage.
