Jason is a very nice teacher, and a great piano player. On my first visit he spent about 10 minutes getting to know my skills, experience, and what I wanted to get out of my lessons. He provided a lesson book, and provides a great introduction to the grand piano's construction and parts. As a bonus, the homely setting with hardwood floors is a very nice place to play and learn. The grand piano you learn to play on is also pristine. Since my first lesson we have worked through the workbook and he has provided me tips on how to sit, how to curl my fingers when playing, but what I love the most is how much theory I've unexpectedly learned from my sessions! He's always willing to answer the curious mind's questions about things like why there are white keys vs black keys, why you'd want to play a song in one key versus another (actual questions I've asked him), and chord theory (now part of my lesson plan)! I recommend Cabbagetown to anyone looking for personal, hands-on experience from a great teacher. You can also book online very easily through the website, which is a great feature!

Sure they're nice but they're terrible at fixing guitars. They were able to give my Ibanez a…read morestandard setup and replace one of the pickups no problem but when I brought my bass in, they did basically nothing to fix it. I asked them to see if they could fix the buzzing that was happening every time I played it and fix both of the knobs which would just spin around and do nothing. When I got it back the buzz was almost worse and one of the knobs completely just screwed off (wasn't doing that before) would not recommend this place if you're wanting more than just a set up. Waste of $120.
