To their credit, they reached out to 3 different technicians in my local area and tried their best to remotely find a solution to the problem. They then offered to fly out their local trusted technician, but I declined. It was a frustrating overall experience for me, but they've been respectful in their communication and followed through in making sure I was either satisfied with my piano or got a full refund. ----- I'm in middle of a dispute with the owners Jonathan and Charlie. I purchased a piano last year from out of state and it's been nothing but trouble since the beginning. They've hired 3 different technicians and have visited my home 7 times and can't fix the dampening issue. I've asked for a refund which they've refused. This current technician has been unresponsive for over a month and Jonathan and Charlie can't seem bothered to resolve this. I'm filing a civil suit next week if there isn't any progress. Mike has such a high technical level of expertise, that I didn't for one minute feel the need to have a third party inspect the wonderful piano that he was selling, which is standard practice, I am told. Mike frankly knew more about the piano then the manufacturer, who I spent three hours with in person, at their HQ. The service Mike provides is over the top. This store is a gem, the prices are better than I found nationally, and it was personally the best experience I have had in any industry.

I emailed Bill, and he was very quickly responsive, and he was able to come over 3 business days later. Thankfully, the lid wasn't an issue, and Bill was able to tune up the piano and straighten up a crooked hammer. The whole process took about an hour and cost less than I expected. (He charged me $150, which I thought was very reasonable.) Bill also didn't visibly judge my messy house crammed with sports gear and kids toys. I had no idea they needed to be tuned every 6-12 months, we haven't tuned ours in many moons. I don't play but my daughter does and I must say that after an hour long deep tune session the piano sounds much better. I learned that each tuning should be a fine tuning not a complete overhaul. I also learned because of this Florida weather that all pianos should have a dehumidifier installed so that the keys and other wood moving parts do not become sticky or wrap which makes a lot of sense. This is something the piano store should recommend when you first purchase a piano but I do not recall them ever mentioning this. Anyhow, the piano teacher immediately noticed that the piano sounded much better so I guess I will have to get this thing tuned on a regular basis. Overall great experience, Don was able to accommodate my schedule and come to the house after five and can schedule weekends if needed. I highly recommend him for you piano tuning needs.
