He and his colleagues helped me find a gorgeous used Ibanez guitar that fit my hands, then helped make it fit my budget. This music store is an ultimate playground for guitarists. I was there at the grand opening day at the new Britton Plaza location. The store was big with very friendly layout. They sell guitars and his close relatives( ukulele, bass ,banjo )as well as their accessories. The huge main showroom displays hundreds of guitars - brand new and used. For ukulele, there were about 20 to 30 models available. A private room designated for bass guitar so you can close the door and try out the sounds. Several classrooms equipped with computer , keyboard , amp will be used for private lesson in the future . There's a stage and some artists were invited to perform on grand opening day. At the very back of the store , there's a lounge for customers to sit down, relax, read a Guitar magazine. Their staff were very helpful and friendly. I couldn't get anyone to give me a price, (it was behind the counter, tag turned toward the wall) or acknowledge my existence, so, as usual and expected when I go to,replay, I left empty handed.. i spoke to a very helpful gentleman in the parking lot, who Had just experienced the exact same replay treatment, and recommended I try Reverb Online.. Best selection of new and used guitars in the Tampa Bay area. When I walked in, I was greeted by the person at the door and like some have commented on, not offered help right away. But I don't consider this a negative. It gave me a chance to browse the guitars without some over my shoulder. I found guitar on a floor stand and went into the amp room. Tony was working on a few amps and helped me get plugged in. He then made sure I had everything I needed. After playing for a few minutes I asked him if i could play a few other guitars. I wanted to play them side by side to compare and asked if I could be setup in one of the lesson rooms. Tony was extremely helpful and even took the amp I was playing and set it up in the private room. He explained the differences of the Les Pauls I was playing and also what to look for in a used Les Paul. He is very knowledgeable. I decided on a really nice Les Paul after playing four models back and forth for over an hour with no pressure from Tony or other staff. Could I have saved a few bucks and bought blindly online? Probably but given how unique every individual guitar is, I can't imagine buying without playing and visually inspecting the instrument. Great experience and I will definitely be back to purchase more gear! read more

I've not yet purchased an instrument from Replay, but Sean in the Bass Room has been extremely helpful every time I've come in, as have the rest of the staff . . . Not pushy, but willing to assist. I have gotten some screaming good deals on a used amp and again on a cabinet. I've also bought a pedal, and numerous Levy's guitar straps. Sean also has special-ordered several sets of strings, and a custom-built Epifani D.I.S.T. 212 cabinet for significantly less than I found it on-line! I'll be back. I have never been to this store whereas I didn't feel insulted when I left. The sad thing about is that I've known some of the people working 15 plus years. I too was excited when this store opened on the south side as we needed an alternative to driving 10 plus miles to get to one similar. I initially thought it was me but after 5 or 6 times I get the impression that they didn't want me in the store. I even waited a few months sometimes between those visit's. Rude, abrasive, and unhelpful where some of the impressions I left with. They do have great guitars and great prices but I choose to spend my money where I feel welcomed in the store. My first trip in one of the salesman gave me a tour of the store and the different departments there, acoustics, basses, etc. Went in the other day and Kurt in the acoustic room told me to sit down and play some guitars. Let me play the $4600 Gibson jumbo dreadnought even though I told him no way that was in the budget. Super nice guy. Every time I go in I'm greeted at the door and they ask what I'm looking for. In his defense I have wasted his time looking at stuff I wasn't gonna buy but he always begrudgingly got it out and let me check it out anyway. I didn't know much about my articles and was expected to be treated accordingly, meaning, not very well. To my surprise, Ken was helpful, respectful and patient.
