The chip was significant and extremely noticeable, and I was in a complete panic. After calling my regular dentist and being told the soonest appointment was over two weeks away, I felt defeated and stressed. I called Dr. Facer's office just minutes after they opened, and from the very first interaction I was met with kindness and understanding. Jen at the front desk was so compassionate and helpful. To my relief and surprise, they were able to get me in the same day within just a few hours. Dr. Facer was absolutely amazing. Not only did he make time in his schedule to squeeze me in, but he treated me with such warmth and care that my anxiety was immediately eased. He was thorough, efficient, and incredibly detail oriented. When I looked in the mirror afterward, I was blown away. My tooth honestly looks even better than it did when it was first repaired nine years ago. I am beyond grateful to Dr. Facer and his entire staff. Restore Dental was covered under my insurance and then they weren't. Took me awhile but I finally…read morewent to one that was covered. Dr. Irina Gonzalez. My first visit I was told that I need gum replacement surgery as well as some fillings and other things. (I took a long time between dentists before trying Gonzalez) I asked what the priorities were - could she do the fillings and then later on the gum replacement. (Not even sure if that is quite the term.) She said no - I had to have that. So, I decided to go back to Restore and see Dr. Kimoura and see what she said. She mentioned I was having some gum issues but before any decisions were made - she recommended I go so a periodontist and see what they said. She took care of my cavities, etc. The periodontist said no, lets wait - gave me some deep cleanings and so far - two years later - we are able to keep surgery away. Dr. Kimoura doesn't try to upsell you - she's fair, funny and makes you feel as if you are the only patient. Her office people are fantastic!! I can't recommend Restore Dental highly enough.

I had an implant procedure by Dr. Zarrinkelk at the Ojai office…read more Their brochure says they stay with you every step of the way. The reality is that it's run like an assembly line. Their instructions say you should show up ten minutes early. When I entered the office ten minutes early there was no one at the front desk. I waited a couple of minutes. I heard people talking in the back, so I said hello. The receptionist then took time out of her busy day to come to the desk. They insist on full anesthesia for the implant, and offered no other options After that they put you in a recovery room and move on to the next patient. The assistant she gave rote answers to my question about anesthesia, and when I pressed her for additional information she simply repeated the same thing, like a robot. While I was on the recovery room no one looked in on me even once to see how I was doing. Not the doctor, or his control freak assistant, or even the do-nothing receptionist. The only attention I got was from the impersonal assistant. She had neglected to return my eyeglasses to me, so I went back to the treatment room to retrieve them. She handed me my glasses and then pushed me down the hall in the direction she wanted me to go. When I moved from the recovery room to the lobby, the do-nothing receptionist suddenly started paying a lot of attention to me. She seemed like she was trying to get rid of me and every five minutes she asked me if my ride was there. Finally I had to explain to her that I had chosen the ride service's "wait and save" option before she would leave me alone. In a final patronizing touch, she admonished me to make sure I called to let them know I made it home. Dr. Zarrinkelk was pleasant for the minute or less that we spoke, but I never saw him after the surgery and he never asked how I was feeling. They sent me a summary of the plan but did not specify that everything would be done in one visit. The estimate for treatment did not include the second stage implant. I learned of this when I went to another oral surgeon to complete the procedure. The implant seemed OK although the second surgeon said he liked to wait for a while to assess the extraction site before placing the implant. You might save some money and time here if you are willing to be handled by an impersonal and aloof staff whose behavior is indifferent and sometimes outright rude.

The pre-procedure visit was great they answered all of our questions and told us what to expect and then the day of the procedure they were very helpful and reassuring. The procedure went smoothly and very quickly and before you know it she was loaded into my car with ice packs in place to her face and headed home. There was definitely some discomfort involved in the process of course but her healing has gone quite smoothly. The staff were wonderful the surgeons were great, I was given very clear instructions after the procedure regarding medication's, ice, diet etc. I felt very comfortable and competent caring for her during her recovery. During that timeframe, she also refused me the right to view my records in person, which is a violation of the California Health and Safety Code. Horrible care in every respect.
