Sports Medicine and was immediately diagnosed with Trendelenburg Gait, meaning my glueteus medius and gluteus minimus tendons were ripped and torn from the bone. After an MRI which clearly verified my condition, Dr. Matthew Wham said that he could repair this. Because of my age, he couldn't be sure of the damage and atrophy until he got into the surgery, but he was hopeful. The surgery went VERY well! The 8 inch incision with 20 or more staples hardly hurt at all, and I am a real pain wuss. In 3 days I was up and using a walker, and I am in a brace from my hip to my knee for 2months, but I can tell that my previous constant pain down my right hip and leg is gone. Dr. Wham is amazing, and I would advise you to goggle him for his specialties and se if he can change your life, too!

After surgery is scheduled and preop interview was done, they say it has to be paid or they won't do it. I ask why no one ever said that and got no answer. Then I ask if ill get an itemized receipt showing what im paying for and was told no. When im about to cancel my surgery they find a way to send me an itemized receipt. Day before my surgery I send in a form from my employer so that I xan do light duty. I finally get the form 8 days after I had sent it. This is after 6 or 8 phone calls and a handful of portal messages. I ask to speak to the practice manager that is in charge of the office and get sent to his/her phone where i leave a voicemail. No call back as of now and that was about 27 hours ago. One of the doctors nurses has a bad attitude problem as well...

Today i had an appointment at Appalachian orthopedics, when i went in the doctor who was supposed…read moreto be a spine specialist had completely dismissed me before i even had a chance to speak to him. told me my mri showed no reason for me to be in the pain i claim, refused to discuss the images with me, and my concerns over the report. told me to quit smoking lose weight (6ft 210lbs) and "suck it up"... i left dumbfounded and shocked... i don't know where to go at this point, i don't even have a general physician right now. Completely disregarding that i know that there has to be something causing the pain i am having, xrays show things that the mri didn't report, and a second review of the mri from another radiologist and orthopedic surgeon, both noticed items of concern. That all aside, and assuming there were no cause the pain at all. There is no reason for a doctor to treat a patient this way, no reason for a person in a position to help those who are suffering, to completely dismiss someone, refuse to even answer questions, and defiantly no reason to speak to anyone in this manner. These doctors are paid very well to treat the people they see.
