The doctor I had assigned to me left a couple of years ago. I hadn't had a need to go there since. When I recently tried to make an appointment, I was told that I needed to schedule a "reestablishment appointment" with a new provider. While I didn't understand, figuring that doctor's patient charts were put together for a reason - to be reviewed. I made the appointment and showed up on time. I was given paperwork to fill out and I was finished within 5 minutes or so. I wasn't called to the back for about 20 minutes after I had arrived. After a brief weigh-in and blood pressure read, the nurse left saying the doctor would be right in. Thirty minutes later and, after seeing no indication that anyone was headed my way, I left. I had other things to do. At the end of my day, I received a voicemail saying that the doctor was just about to see me when he noticed I wasn't there. They wanted to know if I was alright and asked that I call back. I did call back, but the only thing I was told was that the office wanted to know if I needed to set up another appointment. I asked for the office manager to call me. I was told she was not in and a message would be given to her. She called me back the next day to explain that they strive to provide the best care they can and sometimes appointments run a little late. She eventually said she was sorry, but hoped I understood that things like this happen. She asked if I'd like to set up another appointment. I told her that I didn't think so. I told her that I would be searching for another provider. She said she was going to inform her supervisor(s) and one would be calling me. I never received a call. This is not the first time that I or members of my family have shown up for appointments only to wait pretty long periods to be seen. This is part of the Bayview Medical Group and I believe they maybe over scheduling providers on a regular basis. How I wish there were some non-corporate doctors out there that treated patients with respect.

My Dr is Campbell there in the medical complex and the experience with her staff has been much more pleasant than other physicians I've experienced or encountered in the past. The establishment is clean the staff still wars a mask although it is no longer mandatory for nonsick patients to wear a mask if they don't desire. They said they were no longer taking new patients even though my husband was just seen as a NP the week before. Then my husband was having all kinds of issues with his heart and kidneys and the dr completely dismissed him. Turns out my husband has stage 4 cancer diagnosed from an ER visit turned into hospital stay ... even though the dr here said he was just fine. This is the worst practice in the area. The replacement seemed lovely and I had a great initial visit with her. Months later, I received a letter stating the replacement doctor was leaving and that the practice wouldn't have anyone to take over my care, advising me to find another provider. I have been with this practice since 2019. At my final visit yesterday with the replacement provider who is leaving, my 3 PM appointment was poorly managed. Despite arriving on time, I wasn't taken back until 3:30. After waiting alone for almost an hour without updates, I had to seek out staff for help. They assured me the doctor would be in soon, but after another 10 minutes, I left. A 90-minute wait to see a doctor is unacceptable. The fact that nobody updated me about any delays was also unacceptable.
