I purchased a boat insurance with Scott Richardson of All State over the phone. He quoted me $72…read moreper month over the phone. My account was debited for double. When I called him for clarification he stated, "I think you put a 30% deposit down on this policy like a car. Your next debit should be less". He couldn't verify the policy with me at that time. After several calls to his office and to the corporate office, it turns out, on most boat policies, the customer pays for 6 months but has 12 month coverage. Had I been informed of that in the beginning, or even after the 4 phone calls I made to his office, I would not be so disgruntled. I cancelled my policy but I was charged $95 for 12 days of coverage. Do not trust him or his "expertise"! He refuses to refund me the second month even though he didn't tell me about the payment terms. Not only that, he doesn't understand the policies he sells. What is the point of walking in to talk to somebody face to face and support local business if they are not trustworthy and only out to take your money?
