I told them the brakes had just been put on and we had no problem with battery. I went back to wait and they came back after another 30 minutes and told me they couldn't start my car because the battery had chosen that very moment to quit completely. This is rip off tactics! I told them to jump start it and would leave. I had the battery checked at another place - nothing wrong with it at all. Avoid this place - it is a den of thieves.

I replaced the Control arms on my Toyota before taking it to the Mavis in Harrisburg, and it runs true and straight down the road.. I took my Chevy truck to the Mavis in Dillsburg and they pretended to do a alignment.... I put new Control arms on it before taking my truck to them, and they sent it out of the Bay in 15 minutes??? and then I asked the guy if he re-torqued the bolting to 130 lbs and then he said what bolts??? and I said the ones on the control arms, you know , that adjust the control arm camber , the blood shot eyed 20 year old , said oh I did the one on the right side only ? .. keep in mind, I just replaced the control arms , I said to him , "I just needed a perfect full alignment"... I said , didn't your manager explain this to you.? I did not get an alignment at all from this wannebe in Dillsburg. I got a bunch of numbers hunted on a paper because when I took it somewhere else, it took over an hour and 15 minutes to give a True alignment and they said it was so far off ! yeah ! because I just replaced the whole front end and basically brought it in there with no adjustment at all, I just eyeball it , the one in Dillsburg failed me and took my money. Anyway , it was ridiculous! yeah ,so be aware of what they're doing with your vehicle when you bring it to them , I'll would keep your eyes on your vehicle the whole time , but as far as the one Mavis in Harrisburg, they did a great job on my toyota. Aaron and Dave went out of their way to help them. The car wasn't running and they were able to leave the car. The kids had to call for a ride, which was a 3 hour wait for their ride to get there. They let them stay in the waiting area until they closed and they were able to leave the car there from Saturday until today. They brought the car in at night as well. I really appreciate him even taking the time to call me and make things right. It makes a world of difference that he obviously cares about his customers and the service they receive. He seemed to genuinely care about me and the experience I had. Perhaps the incident was just a one time fluke. Again, like I said in the original post, the oil change was fast and the customer service was good prior to the situation. The service was pretty fast considering I was the only one there when I arrived and most of the staff was friendly enough at the beginning of our transaction. However, the day I came it was raining pretty heavy and my windshield wipers had been working just fine until I pulled into their garage for my oil change. The man that was helping me was looking at my wipers, touched one of them, took it off (with some difficulty) and then all of the sudden my wiper, that was working fine until I got there, was broken. He tried to tell me that he didn't break it and that it had been broken before I came in to which I replied that it was just fine until he took it off. After some discussion I was under the impression they were going to put the blade back on my car or give me a new blade complimentary because I VERY clearly said I was not interested in buying a new wiper blade and again, mine was fine until I pulled into their garage. They informed me that my wiper blade could not be put back on and a new blade was placed on my car which I assumed (my bad for assuming I guess) was complimentary because of the prior discussion. However, in reviewing my receipt (I was given a total price with no cost breakdown prior to paying) I noticed that I was charged $20 for one new wiper blade. There was no mention from the staff that they were charging me for the new blade or how much it would cost. In that situation, their customer service was greatly lacking and I felt mislead and taken advantage of. After leaving I realized the wiper blade hey out on was the wrong size so I returned to tell them they put the wrong size wiper on my car. The man that broke my old wiper immediately told me it was the right size and I was wrong. I measured the wiper, it's supposed to be 26 inches, and it's only 24 inches. Again, the oil change was pretty quick and the customer service was good until the wiper incident.
