I filled out the "First-Time Client Form & Quote" online, answered some questions, and got a quote shortly after submitting it. Just a FYI, minimum preparation fee if $400. But we've messed up doing our own taxes before on Turbo Tax and had to pay a hefty interest fee for our error. For that reason, I have been willing to pay more to make sure that doesn't ever happen again. My husband and I have multiple properties which is why we just don't even try to do taxes on our own anymore. With this quarantine, everything was done online and was quick. The business (Kevin) had agreed to complete a tax return and mail paper copies to the client. The business did not complete the work by the agreed-upon date and was not responsive to e-mail communications except for instances in which refund was requested due to poor service. Even when paper copies of the tax return were mailed to the client, the business is unable to follow simple instructions as requested by the client. Despite the completion of the work being nearly a month late from the original agreed-upon date, the business refused to expedite mailing of the paper return to the client via express mail and sent it via regular mail instead. Finally, I gave the business a chance to rectify the poor customer service that I have received thus far and once again the business did not respond to my request. Bottom line, the business does not provide work in a professional manner with poor communication, inability to follow client requests, did not complete work in a timely manner, and refused to rectify their wrongs.
