The Doctor is very capable but his office staff are intolerable authoritarians and he can't be reached but through them.

Went to our ER, they were out of meds so he said he would call in a script which I never got. Nurse wouldn't even let me have water and I have no idea why. I finally left. Within 2 days developed a bad case of cellulitis and went to place on Margaret. She called in Duloxetine, drew the outline of the cellulitis and said if it outgrew the line I was to come back immediately. It did not out grow the line but instead my feet swelled 3 times their size and felt like they were on fire. I also developed watery blisters on inside of thighs. I called Margaret Lane and agreed to go back, sit in my car and wait until they could get me in a room.for 2 1/2 hrs I sat in my car. I got in a room and the first thing the doctor wants is a urine test. Refuses to talk to me about anything until I do this test. Insists I have diabetes. He has me tested for diabetes. I do not have it. Had somebody told me about the urine test when I first walked in I wouldn't have peed first. 45 minutes later doc comes in to tell me I have no uti's and I need to see my my primary care for anything else. HE REFUSED TO LOOK AT THE BLISTERS OR THE SWOLLEN FEET DESPITE THE FACT THAT IS WHY I WENT IN THERE! He said I was only alotted so much time, my time was used up, and, basically, don't let the door hit you on the way out! I was shocked!

Okay first of all, best doctor ever. Like most women, I have…read morethat pretty passionate hatred of the obgyn. But once I got pregnant, it was time to realize those visits were unavoidable and suck it up. I changed obgyns during the middle of my pregnancy from an office I thought was tolerable in San Jose, to Dr. Goddard when my husband and I moved to Grass Valley. I was skeptical about having a male obgyn at first, but after my first appointment I realized how awesome Dr. Goddard and his whole practice is. Hannah, the front desk receptionist is super sweet and friendly while you wait. His assistant is also super friendly and makes great conversation while taking your vitals while you wait for Goddard himself. Then, the show starts. Goddard is hilarious! I found myself and my husband laughing our asses off before our appointment was even half over. It wasnt uncomfortable at all. On a more serious note, he always was really patient with my questions as a first time mom and never rushed us. My previous OB had made me worried that my daughter measured a bit small, but Goddard reassured us she was fine and low and behold she is! He even assured us that he would be there for my delivery no matter what! And when my water broke on a Sunday morning, he showed up (wearing an adidas t shirt and cargo shorts) lol. Well anyways, great, funny, educated doctor! Really happy with my experience.

He was caring and took the time to make sure I felt comfortable after another doctor scared me days before my surgery. He was exceptional and I delivered a healthy baby boy. If I would have known he was in Grass Valley after I moved, I would have had him be my doctor for my other two children.
