I have been a client with state farm since 2003 and have always enjoyed the excellent customer service and coverage. I have used State Farm in three states for Auto, Home and Renters, never with an issue until now. I have come to learn that each agent is an independent operator, and therefore handles their services independently and by no means does this one agent reflect all of State Farm. In January I received a notice from my apartment community that I did not have renters insurance (which I had purchased through Dana Shivalier). I contacted my agent and asked what had happened because I paid in full for 12 months up front in July, and was informed that they had my address entered incorrectly. No big deal, they changed it, from the same address, just a different apartment number. I am then billed for a 'change of address'. I inform them that I have the binder, which shows my correct address as originally issued in July, but refuse to acknowledge that the error was their fault and demand payment. She informs me that she will get back to me by Friday, but rather than talk with me, cancel my coverage without notice. I find out my coverage is inactive when I receive a notice that my multiline discount has been removed because of an account that is no longer active. I contact a different state farm and they handle the entire process for me. There are many state farm agents, find a different one!

Terri worked with our problems and got us individual plans for each person when we first started with our health two years ago. This year teo insurance companies canceled their coverage and didnt alert us unril November, and the third child needed to change. Terri, our broker, took the time to really understand our individual needs. And in each case thoughtfully and thoroughly helped us navigate the system without having to sweat. She even called the GA exchange to help to get dates right. I actually talk this group up outside of online reviews. I tell my kids if there's anybody they know who needs help navigating and getting ACA through a brokerage to call these people. I don't think I can recommend them highly enough.
