Extremely happy for the prompt service on Saturday. The woman who answered the phone walked me through some steps to try to save us the service call but this was beyond my abilities. The two gentlemen were very polite and professional. My well was literally hanging on by a a PVC thread. I would not recommend this company at all. Our well collapsed after 3.5 years. We had trouble with our well before we even closed on our newly built home. Sediment issues and the company just kept recommending filters. There was no inner pipe installed and the well completely collapsed after 3.5 years. We come home from my father in laws funeral after being gone a week and our water was YELLOW. Called company and they finally sent someone out to try and raise the pump. It broke off and they took pipes out and threw on our neighbors land and said they could do nothing and left! High and dry no water for 10 days. We called GUNTER well company and we had to drill a brand new well on opposite side of property. 15K for new well, plumbing and electrical switched to opposite side of property. Sent Lucas Well Company a letter and heard nothing back at all. They are rude and do not stand by their work. This is how they treat military veterans? New well is perfect. No sediment issues, inner pipe property installed. Go with GUNTER well and service. Tye and his crew are true professionals. Wells are suppose to last 25-100 years, not 3.5 years. read more

Has drilled two wells for me and replaced a few pumps. Maybe a little on the high side. But you get what you pay for.

If you're in need of a new well or in need of a new pump, I would look at other businesses before ever using David Lucas Well Drilling again. woke up to no water one day, started calling around to get someone to come out and see what the problem was, David Lucas, came out and took a look, told me that my pump needed to be replaced. was quoted a 'high' price to replace it. out calls into some other business's, wasnt getting any calls back. went ahead and had David Lucas replace yhe pump. they were able to do the work right away, which was great, but then I start getting calls from the other businesses and got quotes that were half the price that I paid David Lucas. A week later had a problem again with the pump....10at night. called Mr Lucas since they were the ones who replaced it. was given attitude from the get go, wouldn't come out to fix, was told he could walk me thru troubleshoot it. was made to feel in adequate. was made to feel like they were doing me 'favor' by helping me. I told them that they over charged me and they should be the ones to fix the problem. will never go thru them again. very rude...and over charges and doesn't want to fix issues when they arise with their work. I would definitely shop around before using them again or referring them to other folks. read more

Cost me $899 for a new tank and I found the same ones in town for $250. Also I was told a service call would be $100 and they charged me $!50. I feel like I was scammed. read more

Can you rate ZERO STARS!?!?! Rude, rude, and rude. After being let down from another well company Mr. Lucas came highly recommended by the company who couldn't squeeze me in. I called and he was arrogant, rude, and refused to work with us as soon as I mentioned my trouble about the other company not being able to fit me in today. As soon as I told him my insurance company said I could go out of network and be reimbursed (I'd pay him myself) if I could get him out today, so if he can make it today he can have the work, or I'd wait till tomorrow and they'd pay someone else further out. As soon as I said that he said "Ma'am, I don't work with any insurance companies." I understand I explained that I'd be reimbursed and that he'd be payed today by me IF he could make it out today. He said "Ma'am, I am not going to argue with you. I will pass on this job." I recommend you take his advice and pass on him too. I woke up at 4 am to no water. I have brushed my teeth with bottled drinking water, am cooking with water from a jug, and have no decent way to do dishes. I won't get a shower today, and I am fetching water from my pond in order to be able to flush my toilets. A little patience and compassion would have served him well. It would have been worth his time. If you are proud enough of your name to put it on your business you should hold it to the highest standards and not sully it. My recommendation: pass on Mr. David Lucas. Find someone else, someone nicer. Someone who deserves the money and the work. read more

Not sure what everyone else is complaining about. That is definitely not The David Lucas Well Drilling company that installed my well. They were professional and accommodating. I had the well drilled and had to wait for weeks for the power to be run. David and his son came out and flushed the lines and explained to me to run the tubs and toilet before anything else just in case there were any contaminants in the line. I would and will do business with them again. read more

I just moved in a new home that had a well that had not been used in a while. To save on my water bill I really wanted this well up and running. I called David Lucus Well Drilling yesterday, and my well is up and running today. They call when they say they will call, and show up when they say they will show up. Very professional and worked quick. The price was fair, and I would recommed them to anyone needing servicing on their well. EXCELLENT!!! read more

Will never do business again!!! Beware. Had a well out in about 5 years ago. Charged between 2-4 thousand. Pump went out . called company to come to residence on a service call. They were supposed to come diagnose the problem. They showed up a half an hour early when I and went outside . they had already been doing work on my well without authorizing to do so. Owner didn't wanna pay his employer overtime so they went to work pulling out my old pump. Figured this was a part of the 100 dollar service charge that they do to find the problem. When I told the owner I had only the 1oo that they quoted . he became outraged raised his fist and told me he would knock me on my ass. Because I asked him what did the 100 dollars pay for then. He did this work and was going to charge me 250. Pulled out all my pipes. Dropped everything. Threatened a desperate crying single mom of five who has been without water for a week. I gave him the 100 dollars and left without even telling me what the problem was or even asking me what was the problem. Why they were called out to begin with. He was just trying to sell me parts... Doesn't do payment plans and would not work with me needless to say I filed a police report and will follow up with BBB. I have the recording and you do not treat a returning customer like this. So be aware do not do business with this very unprofessional. Greedy company. Find yourself a different one. They lost me. And work will spread on how I was treated. read more

Mr David Lucas well company put in mew well at my home.dropped dirt sand and blue glue in main line to home..i asked if they were going to flush out line and they said did not need to. now no water in home had to replace all lines and all fixtures clogged with their blue glue, and mud that was put in main line to the house. i called him along with care taker he was very rude man and told me not to ever call him again. beware of him and his company. so far it has cost me hundreds of dollars i do not have to fix his mess up.the men sent was not trained to do the work and Mr Lucas said he was not responsible for damages.Do not use this company ae all. read more
