I'm writing review for State Farm Insurance Company. State Farm Insurance is a great company to be insured with. Such as life insurance car insurance, renters insurance, Home Owners Insurance. Even better rates if you get a bundle deal. You can always speak with a live representative on a Sunday am / PM State Farm Insurance is one of the best insurance companies out here. One of the top Best insurance companies. I can earnestly say , they have there stuff together. Wanting to add they'll even work with you. State Farm Insurance is here to help for sure. You don't have to be vexed about trying to get a bill paid at the last minute on line. I've called & spoke with a live person that didn't mind doing there job. Ready to assist in getting your needs & concerns remedied. State Farm Insurance Company would be the #1 insurance group that I would refer anybody & everybody. They are forgiving and will give a second & 3rd. chance. All true real life experience. I was dropped from my policy for 3 years. Afraid that something would happen before I could get homeowners insurance again. Thanking God nothing happened before I applied again and again. Nobody was able to get me back in, but one company, with State Farm, David Munson office. A great man name Marcio Lopes. They say it's true. I can vouch for truth that God is Almighty & work through people places and things. All truth, I'm truly grateful to be back in good hands & standards with State Farm Insurance. In being a client again, because thus number 1 agency is most definitely all about business. All my experiences with State Farm has been for best benefit. I'm still thanking God everytime, I feared not having my place of residence insured with, State Farm Home Owners Insurance. I was a nervous soul. Zero Customer Service Ethic State Farm made a mess of my policy data. One of my vehicles disappeared from my policy for several weeks, other vehicles were added briefly, and non-related drivers were added. None of this was Mr. Munson's fault. However, throughout the entire ordeal that spanned two months or so, he never reached out to apologize on behalf of State Farm. As the public-facing representative, he should have made an effort to contact me, apologize and try to make the situation better. Despite being cc'd on several emails over the course of the issues and multiple direct emails from me to him, he never replied or responded once. If he had, I might not have canceled my State Farm auto, home & umbrella policies after 40 years of being a customer. Good job, Mr. Munson, you helped cost State Farm ~$3,000/year. The staff was professional, communicative and did their best to make a bad situation better. Not Mr. Munson. He was completely inept at customer relations. read more

After forty years of being insured by State Farm though David Munson Sr, then Jr., our policies started to increase in September 2024 by over $30 a month. This happened even though we have had no accidents, no tickets nor did we ever make a homeowner's claim. When shopping to compare prices, Progressive came in at half the cost of our State Farm auto and travel trailer prices. Though slightly higher on our homeowner's insurance the discounts for the autos far exceeded the difference. When these prices were brought to State Farm, they could not come close to competing. Sadly, we have switched to Progressive. I recommend everyone shop and compare your insurance company; it could save you hundreds of dollars. read more

I wouldn't suggest coming to David Munson for even a quote, much less actually working with this agency for insurance. Last year, I went through a process of getting homeowner's insurance from State Farm via David Munson's agency. We ended up not closing on the house, and I informed them of this. Not to mention, we didn't sign paperwork, they hadn't received key documents they were requesting, etc. But turns out they started charging me anyway! When I told them about this, they apologized, but get this--they couldn't simply refund my money electronically. They had to issue a paper check. They were quite eager to take my money out but quite slow to give my money back. Then, of course, the check never appeared. They pointed to US Postal Service delays. I asked why they couldn't FedEx it, considering it's their mistake, but of course, that was not possible either. In the end, I reversed the charges through AMEX. I'd highly recommend working with AMEX. Not this agency. Oh, and through all of that, not a single word of acknowledgement or apology from David Munson himself. I'd seriously worry about being supported by this agency in the event of an actual issue. Look elsewhere. read more

Had a great experience with David Munson and his team in setting up multiple insurance lines. I started my own business last year and in connection with that needed to replace a lot of insurance which had been covered by my previous employer. David and his team were able to identify multiple helpful options and modify them to match my budget and situation. Ultimately, they helped me set up life insurance, disability insurance, home insurance and auto insurance. All of which had excellent terms and ended up saving me a lot of money compared to my other options. I will definitely continue working with him and his team as my needs evolve. read more

Annie Brennan is extremely helpful. She answers questions, finds answers from others if she does not know the answers and responds extremely promptly to all questions. She showed me how I could save over $4000/year by bundling home and auto policies and answered many questions about the claims process. To me the issue is not what you pay, but what you get for what you pay. Yet, all the adverts focus on how low their premiums are, without focusing on claims. A cheaper premium that won't result in claims being promptly and efficiently paid is problematic. Exactly what is covered by the replacement value policies is a question I had not explored in detail before. Annie walked me through the process. Hopefully, I will never need to file a claim to determine how good the claims process is at the time. But I am comfortable now. read more

I've tried for weeks to get in contact with David. If you care about talking to your agent, dont go with this agency. The closest to David Munson you will get is any representative (which change all the time) available. You will never actually talk to David. The service is okay, depending on who you speak to. Every time I call, the person I spoke to last no longer works there, making it extremely difficult to connect with this agency. You are better off calling a 1-800 number since you speak to a different rep each time and never speak to your actual agent. read more

Couldn't have had a better experience with David. Someone is always there to answer the phone, and if David is unavailable, I would always get a call back shortly from him. Much later he helped me out in a huge way when I had a problem arise with my mortgage company. Kudos to David and his State Farm crew for their excellent service. I called David Munson's State Farm insurance company to receive a quote for homeowners, car and an umbrella package. I spoke with Andrew, one of David's agents, and after a week plus and several calls later to Andrew, I never received anything. I then called David himself and was told he would call me back but I never heard back from him either. If this is what you receive from just getting a quote, I can't imagine the service you would receive if you really needed them. read more

I was a client of the David Munson agency for about 7 years, until I moved to NJ. I had always been happy with the agency, but didn't get a full appreciation for it until after I moved out of state and had to switch agencies. I now inadvertently compare my experience with other agencies to David's and they just don't measure up. I've only been living in NJ for 6 weeks and have already switched agencies up here because they don't live up to the experience we had down in MD. The entire team at the agency is fully knowledgeable and responsive. If we ever had any issue, they would immediately get on it for us and make sure it was resolved immediately. And they would assist us during evening hours as well (not something other agencies apparently do). We are currently dealing with an issue with switching our vehicle registrations to NJ and both NJ agencies we are working with are having trouble resolving the issue. We called David Munson's team for advice, and they are currently resolving the issue for us--we are not even current clients of theirs anymore! If you live in the Bethesda area, do yourself a favor and use this agency. I wish we could move them up to NJ! read more

I have had a very positive experience working on obtaining multiple insurance policies with David. He is very professional and takes a lot of time to make sure all questions are fully answered. When I had additional questions after meeting with him, he was readily available by phone and email. David is also extremely knowledgeable about the nitty gritty details of different policies and how to use multiple policies to provide the most comprehensive coverage at a reasonable price. Furthermore, he is able to clearly explain complicated concepts related to insurance, and even uses diagrams to illustrate items.
