What a wonderful tour!…read more The Orlando Lake Tour offers a relaxing 75-minute journey through the stunning Butler Chain of Lakes. You will cruise past beautiful scenery and impressive multi-million-dollar homes aboard a comfortable pontoon boat with sunshades. Captain Steve is both punctual and friendly. He has a lot of knowledge on the local wildlife, flora, and notable past and present residents of the area. All seats require advance booking by phone, and at just $25 per person - it's incredibly reasonable for everything you will see and learn. Be sure to take pictures! The lakefront homes are gorgeous. I really appreciated that the group size was small as it creates a more intimate setting and makes it easier to engage with Captain Steve and ask questions throughout the tour. 5 stars.

Easy solid five. What good fun! Makes for an especially excellent Floridian wildlife tour if you're not from here. You'll see a lot of wildlife ...and ridiculously opulent rich folks homes; swimming pools, movie stars, they always have the best stuff including some the most beautiful lakes in Central Florida. Anyway, when the opportunity presented itself, this was the tour we chose and I'm so very happy we did. Steve's Great. Friendly, helpful, and nice; informative. We really enjoyed ourselves and thank him for the memorable experience. Thanks Steve! We brought waters and recommend you sunscreen yourself up. And FYI, portable toilets are near the ramp and proper restrooms are at the front of the park. One of the locks doesn't work. Surprise, surprise, surprise!!! lol

We were a group of 7 people, and unfortunately it did not meet our expectations. We only saw one alligator swimming in the water during the entire tour. Instead of wildlife, the driver mostly showed us horses and cows from a farm across the resort, which was not what we came for. What made the experience worse was that the driver kept intentionally driving us into thick grass areas several times. He also stopped the boat in an area full of mosquitoes/gnats, and we kept getting bitten until we asked him to move immediately. Unfortunately, he repeated this more than once, which made the ride very uncomfortable. Overall, the experience was not worth the money for us. We would not return and would not recommend it.

I can honestly say that visiting this place and riding an airboat were among the most enjoyable…read morethings I have done in many years. Wow! My family, friends, and I had such a great time and wish that we could have remained on the airboat much longer. This place is located at the end of a very long road. The drive to the property is very quiet and relaxing. The property itself was well-maintained, everything was clearly marked, and the venue itself was fun. There is a gift shop, a snack shop, a food trailer offering hot food, a beverage hit, clean bathrooms, gold mining, and so much more. The employees went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. The real reason why you would visit this place is the airboats. Each guest boards the large boats, which can seat 12-15 people at a time. To the rear of the boat sits this huge fan, which controls the boat. Each guest is required to grab a headset or ear protection, as the boats are noisy and loud, and I mean LOUD once they get going. The purpose of the boats is to have fun, of course, but the objective is to look for alligators as you speed through the swamps. During our visit, we spotted nine alligators, and the boat operator stopped so guests could see and experience them up close. The alligators are never disturbed, and they do not seem to mind being watched. Back to the airboats, these things are FAST! The boat operator will have you going so fast on the water, then pull into a complete 360-degree turn when you least expect it. The first time the boat operator sped away from the dock at the start of the tour, you were a tad nervous, similar to riding a roller coaster. After this initial nervousness, you could not get enough of this airboat and only wanted to go fast on the water. I might add that there was a group seated in front of us with a boy between 8 and 10 years old and a young tween girl, and they appeared to enjoy the airboat ride just as much as we adults. This is definitely a fun place for all ages

Our price of…read moreadmission included exploring at your leisure, the huge complex of buildings filled with history and memorabilia. But the bus tour proved to be the best introduction at getting a basic background knowledge of what the space center was all about! You get a whole 2 1/2 hour driving tour that spans several miles. The Vehicle Assembly Building stands as the first focus where the Apollo moon rockets and space shuttles were built, then they were transported via gigantic crawlers to one of the launch pads: 39A or 39B. You get to see (from a distance), the launch pads ready and waiting to launch the next rocket, satellite or other spacecraft. Water towers, rocket fuel storage, blast deflectors, and even the SpaceX building, all the way to the Launch Control Center. But besides all the man made structures we encountered throughout the tour, you'll find that the space center also cohabits and protects the land as a national wildlife refuge, 140,000 acres worth! There are fresh and saltwater marshes, lagoons, coastal seashores, and flatlands, home to fish, mammals, amphibians, birds and indigenous plants. The majority of wildlife refuge is left undisturbed by the goings on by NASA. Our tour guide Noble, gave us a very informative and interesting tour as he described what each structure and building is used for. The important people involved in every aspect from maintenance to space flight. Besides the human impact, we even caught glimpses of an eagles nest, a manatee resting in the water and several birds & waterfowl. I didn't see any alligators during our tour, but I'm sure they were staying cool beneath the swamps. The whole tour had me at the edge of my seat listening to the stories and history of our ever developing space program. It just made me more appreciative and proud of America's achievements and goals to explore the stars. There really is intelligent life still on this Earth! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXeEhbM0g0Y
