My husband and I just completed a refresher course after being dry docked for about 10 yrs from diving. Robert (owner) was very relaxed, easy to work with and accomondating! Did not have to go through the "dive shop" hassle of booking a class, being sold gear I didn't need. (He also provided all gear required, with no extra fees!) I booked the course online and choose a date that worked for me! He got back to me within 24 hrs. We had a great morning dive at Blue Springs State Park and it was just my husband and I. 100% recommend. I will be contacting him to participate in dive outings in the future and to help certify my kids very soon. read more

SSI /Vet nomad scuba review I had the absolute BEST Memorial Day weekend learning to scuba in open water diving certification course with Holly and Justin! They were so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Getting comfortable with the equipment and learning the various drills during the pool day made me so confident moving into the water, I could really focus on my finer bouyancy skills on the second day at Blue Grotto. The class size was perfect, instructor to student ratio was 1:3 most of the time so I received plenty of attention so u could master the key skills. They worked with me to get my diving weights just right, so by the time we moved to Rainbow river on the third day, I was fully prepared to enjoy the drift and take in the wonders around me. I will definitely come to them when I'm ready to tackle my advanced open water, they've given me a lifelong love of this sport! read more

After working for many Dive Shops in Florida and teaching independently for over 15 years, he realized that there may be a better way to run a Scuba Training and Travel Company, so he started Sunshine State Scuba LLC in an effort to bring the best Instructors and Dive Masters available to our customers. And from the staff to the dock hands, to the quality of the vessel and cleanliness of the shop: 10/10. A guide handed us a laminated map (nice touch) and told us where to head for manatee sightings. And even pointed us to a cove that homes a lot of turtles and alligators. We saw it all! They have volunteers overseeing the 3 sisters springs, to help monitor the safety of the manatees (and scold ignorant people lol). Great time! If you're unsure, let me assure you.. just book.
