Babies at that age are not so easy to work with, especially if you want to capture an expression, a moment that reflects their emergining personalities. After providing us with some suggestions about clothing, hats, etc that we might want included in the photos, Dave had us gather at his studio, and he patiently worked with both parents and the baby. Max can be quite restless and in constant motion, but Dave was able to work calmly, quickly, and yet was not distracting or intrusive in the family dynamics. He took a series of shots, and we were then able to pick out our favorites. These photos, taken with such clarity, we then had enlarged and framed and they now grace the walls of our house. I will be forever grateful to have these as family memories. In addition, Dave is an enthusiastic naturalist, and has taken wildlife photos that are amazingly creative. In his studio we viewed some of the recent work that he has done (birds, wolves, coyotes, etc) and decided to order a couple. Instead of framing, we decided to try something different and have the images printed on metal. The resulting clarity turned out to be stunning, almost a 3D effect.
