There has been numerous times I had brought my son into the office for his allergy shot and was turned away because a change in their policy which we had not been informed of prior to the appointments. If it wasn't for the fact that this office was the closest location I would've switched offices and the fact that he's so far into his allergy shots. When I asked to speak to an office manager, they gave me a nurse, which then transferred me back to front desk. I can't wait for him to be finished with his allergy shots so I can be done with this office! Such a disappointment!!!!!!

After going through 3 prior nasal polyp surgeries I was fortunate to find a surgeon who was concerned with the reoccurrence of polyps and the long term control of my asthma. He referred me to Dr. John Bosso. In February 2014 I went to Nyack Hospital under the care of Dr. Bosso for aspirin desensitization. Within a few weeks I noticed my sense of smell was returning. Today my sense of smell has completely returned and I have reduced my asthma medications to the lowest level in 20 years. I have never felt better. Isn't an allergy doctor supposed to have the serums for those substances on hand to use for those tests? Since when does the patient have to supply all these items themselves? I found this to be very unprofessional, but I went along with it. In addition to that - and subsequently not even properly diagnosing my allergy - this guy had the gall to charge me a ridiculously high amount for a plastic spacer that the drug salespeople leave with doctors as samples to give to their patients free of charge. He even said, while handing it to me "Here's something for you." only to go and bill my insurance for it! Not only did I already have one and never claimed to need a new one - but I could have gotten it at my pharmacy for no cost if I did need one. That was in addition to a number of other questionable fees and charges that were tacked on to my bill. Shoddy practice, sneaky charges, and no relief from my allergy to boot. I moved right along.

He even had medical questions for my husband and had me call him so he can talk to him. What doctor does that?? Right there and then he figured everything out. He even called to check up on her! What doctor actually cares enough to call and not have a nurse do it! I'm truly great full for this doctor. If it was not for him...I would have never known what was going on with my child. They're extremely short with people and would rather talk among themselves than do their jobs. I have witnessed them being rude and yelling at other patients, as well as myself, on numerous occasions. If I didn't love Dr. Selter, I would have found a new allergist by now, just so I wouldn't have to deal with the front desk. If they replaced the receptionists, office assistants, office manager, etc. and replaced them with nicer people, I would change my review to 5 stars.
