I have NEVER received such rude service from a dentist in my life. My son who is 3 1/2 years old…read morehas visited the dentist every 6 months since he turned 1. He attends sees my family dentist at Cincinnati Dental Services, so he's not a stranger to the environment or process. However, during an incident at school he fell and injured his two front teeth a the top of his mouth. I was able to get him in to see our family dentist and after x-rays and 2 weeks of monitoring, they began to discolor and she recommended they be extracted by a pediatric dentist. In my effort to stay within my network, I traveled from West Chester to Florence after reviewing Dr. Bathiany's online reviews. The front office team and waiting room was average, at best. My wait was approximately 15 minutes, which was fine and upon being called to the back we were taken into an open office (no door, just walls on either side of us that basically served as spacers so there is no confidentiality). Although I explained when making my appointment the reason for my visit, the dental assistant was unaware of why I was there, nor did she have the x-rays. No problem, I had pictures of them and called my dentist office who promptly sent them forward. Dr. Bathiany eventually came over. 1st - He did not introduce himself to me, say hello, or ask the reason for my visit. 2nd - He immediately started speaking quite loudly which immediately made my son nervous (3 year olds are not the most trusting, especially in a clinical setting). 3rd - He picked up my file and loudly proclaimed, "An Aetna DMO???!!! You have the worst insurance out there!! ??" He was so loud that another patient's mother peaked her head around the wall to see what was going on. 4th - He asked my son to sit in the chair and started to raise and lean it back without explaining to hime what he was going to be doing, which really rubbed me the wrong way as my son was clearly agitated. He then expected me to hold him down, for the exam. Given that I brush my son's teeth daily, I knew they were discoloring, but he seemed determined to show me. When I said it wasn't necessary, he immediately got annoyed with me and began to test me on my knowledge about whether the teeth were loose or in tight. He then told me he didn't agree with extracting them. He wanted to do a pulpectomy. I disagreed as my son had an infection that was not going away which meant if it reached his permanent teeth, his adult smile would have been negatively impacted. 5th - Once we landed on extracting the teeth he told me that with my insurance being so bad, they would need a pre approval and that could take up to 4 weeks. That was in the beginning of October, and I have yet to receive follow up communication from Dr. Bathiany or his office personnel. I eventually had the service completed with Dr. Goodell at (http://www.outstandingdentalteam.com). I wish I had gone to her first as she provided an OUTSTANDING consult, took an x-ray, and extracted the teeth all in a single visit! Dr. Bathiany and team a little bit of kindness, dignity, professionalism = respect which goes a long way.

Arrogant LPN who asked patient to state her pain level from 1-10, and when patient replied 9, the LPN said "you don't look like you're a 9." Definitely a "we know best" philosophy that does not prioritze the patient. When patient was being cleaned by nurses, family was subjected to listening to patient screaming "I hope you are killing me because I can't take any more of this." Horrific experience. We moved her to the nursing facility at the Kenwood Senior Star where she had wonderful, patient centric and empathetic care. What a mistake to subject our mother to MPL.

I was bed ridden until physical & occupational therapists worked with me to get me walking again and reducing my oxygen from 4 down to one. I feel it is possible to be back in the league playing tennis & golf again next summer. Thank you everyone peers & staff at The Anderson ". For the gentleman who went to Heaven instead of home. His family was well liked too. The funeral director took care of everything. We mourned and did an activity he would have enjoyed by watching "The Haunted House" with Eddy Murphy. I had many experiences with St. E's hospice when it was at the hospital. My father-in-law and…read moreboth my grandparents were patients in hospice and they received excellent care. I have only one experience with the off-site hospice. My mother suffered for two years with inoperable colon cancer and died in 2007. I cannot say enough about the travelling hospice staff, they were god-sends. They were compassionate, professional and helpful. When the end came, I was grateful to the travelling staff who were so good to my mother and my family. That said, the staff at the physical hospice were a totally different manner. Mother had been told by the travelling nursing staff that when the time came that she felt that it was time, that she was to call and come in. She did just as she had been instructed. She called the hospice and then called me to come and get her. She signed all the forms and instructed the staff that I was the contact person since I was her only child and I was the person who brought her in. This was at 2 AM in the morning. At 8:00 AM in the morning I got a call from my mother's younger sister. She had received my message about Mom and gone first thing over to the hospice and discovered Mom crying uncontrollably. She had been told by the social worker that, and I quote, "She wasn't dying fast enough" and that as the nearby nursing homes were full, she would be sent to one in Pendleton Co.! She had only been there 6 hrs and she was being told that she wasn't dying fast enough and would be shipped like a sack of rotten potatoes to a nursing home in another county. The staff had no explanation why they would spring such information on a dying woman without calling in the family member who brought her in. There was no excuse for telling a woman whose cancer was so severe that it not only was attacking every organ in her body but was literally breaking through the skin, a woman who at 5'6" only weighed 65 lbs. that she wasn't dying quick enough. Long story short, my mother died in my home with her family by her side. I only wish that in her final days that the in-house staff of St. E's hospice could have treated her with the kindness and dignity she deserved. Were I rating the travelling staff, I would give them a 5. The in-house staff at the physical hospice, I would give a 1.

My daughter stayed until I returned. I called the office and complained that she was there for 1 hour and 15 minutes. They still charged for 3 hours!!!!! A few months later I called them again because I was headed for surgery and my family could not cover all the day time hours. So 3 hours a day would work to cover the hours. WELL GUESS WHAT????? They sent the same girl! My daughter remembered her and told her to go back to her office. GUESS WHAT?? they still wanted me to pay for that 3 hours that she didn't help us. Done with them.

After surgery she went to a nursing home for rehabilitation for about 6 weeks. The care that my grandmother was provided in the nursing home was absolutely horrible!!! I decided to bring my grandmother home however; it would require a lot of assistance. My grandmother was placed in Hospice. Hospice was phenomenal but they only came two times a week. They only stayed about one hour or so. It was not long before I realized that I needed a lot more assistance. I decided to try Visiting Angels. They were a lifesaver I was assigned an excellent care. She truly cared about my grandmother. The caregiver came whenever I needed her. She treated my grandmother as if it was her grandmother. My grandmother passed when she was 101 years old. I am so grateful for Visiting Angels helping to make my grandmother's last days and transition very peaceful and loved.

This office has been amazing for my family. As a child, I grew up fearful of the dentist, and I wanted to be sure that that was not the case for my children. Dr. Rider is professional, yet laughs and jokes with the kids on their level. They absolutely LOVE going to their appointments with him. Even the waiting room is fun for kids and adults. There are video games, television (usually playing a family friendly movie), books/magazines, kid-sized table for homework, coffee, and even bar stools at a counter where one could easily work at a laptop. Dr. Rider always sends them away with little trinket prizes, which is a hit as well. I love that my kids love Dr. Rider--it makes me feel like I have done my job, so that they will continue this healthy habit as adults. Thank you Dr. Rider and staff!! read more

Dr. Rider is very attentive - and I like that he meets with parents at the end of each appointment, I truly feel like he is a partner in my son's dental health. Allowing me to ask lots of questions, and have a discussion about best options. Ultimately he supports what ever decision the parent makes. My son has been going to Dr. Rider for 13+ years, and he loves going to the dentist. The office is clean, kid-friendly and there is even a special adult waiting room with coffee, quiet music, and lots of electrical outlets at workstation/bar area, allowing me get a plenty of work done at my laptop while I wait. I absolutely love this dentist office. From the front desk, to the hygienist, all the way to Dr. Ryder it has never been a bad experience. I have taken my 11 yr old there for 3 years and she has loved it every time. Just started taking my highly anxious 3 year old for 3 visits now, and yesterday he went back by himself with no complaint and had a blast talking to everyone. Accommodations were made to fit what he was comfortable with and there was no "one way" to get things done. In 6 months my now 19 mth old will be joining the ranks of visiting the dentist. I have 2 daughters who had a bad experience with their previous dentist. We started seeing Dr. Rider over a year and half ago and now my daughters beg to go to the dentist. They absolutely love him and all of his staff members. There is always guaranteed laughter in the office with my girls. Dr.Rider and staff talk so kind and caring during procedures and really put the kids minds at ease. I also love that my oldest daughter (9 years old) likes to go back for her cleanings by herself but my youngest (6 years old) still likes for me to stay with her, and they are supportive either way. An excellent pediatric dentist! 8 or so years ago we had a horrible experience with a different dentist in the area, it concluded with my son being strapped to a board. As one can imagine, It made it very difficult to get my son to sit in a dentist chair afterwards. Dr. Rider was recommended and I called. Dr. Rider took the time to let my son come in and just sit in the chair. Several times. Within 2-3 visits my son thought Dr. Rider was his best buddy. My son has been going to see Dr. Rider since we moved to the area 5 years ago. Once my daughter was old enough to go to the dentist, at 18 months. They both love going to the dentist. Once their cleaning is over, Dr. Rider meets with all of us and goes over the visit and discuss anything that needs to be addressed. Dr. Kelty and the staff at this office are wonderful. I have two children and am always able to make their appointments for the same time. My wait time isn't bad. There is a children's entertainment area and a parents only area with access to multiple outlets, coffee and reading material. Dr. Kelty reviews what she did during their visit and takes the time to answer any questions from the visit. She always has a smile on her face and makes my kids feel comfortable and explains what she's doing to their teeth. That is a huge deal! Best pediatric dentist around! read more

Dr Rider was such a great and energetic dentist. He complimented my daughter and made her feel comfortable when he gave her a full check up. He was amazing at making her laugh and feel like the dentist is fun and very professional at the same time. What a great experience for my 3 year old. Nurse Lori and Tonya made her experience so enjoyable as well. They never left our exam room and entertained her with games, puzzles, and books until Dr Rider was finished! My three kids are so lucky to have a dentist like Dr. Rider. He is simply the best. Always positive even when giving some bad news like a cavity. My youngest has had more dental work than most. Dr. Rider makes him feel as comfortable as possible to get the job done. He could have easily been traumatized by such experiences as having teeth pulled, fillings and a spacer put in, but Dr. Rider always makes it bearable with his excellent bed-side manner. Love, love, love Dr Rider! I have been taking my children there for over ten years. My only complaint is the wait time. I would say that the average wait for my children to go back with the hygienist is 45 minutes from the appointment time - many times we are leaving the office a full two hours later. As much as I dread the amount of time spent in the waiting room, my children adamantly refuse to even discuss finding another dentist. They are completely sold on Dr. Rider and his staff. read more

The Bach family loves Dr. Rider! My boys (ages 11 and 7) have been seeing Dr. Rider since they made their first trip to the dentist as babies. He makes going to the dentist fun! I would highly recommend him! You won't find a more personable and informative pediatric dentist in the area. I like that he jokes and teases with my boys, while at the same time instructing them on best dental hygiene practices. His staff is also very delightful! read more

I love Dr. Rider and so do my kids! He is so fun and energetic! They look forward to going to the dentist. I love the waiting areas. The kids have plenty to play with while waiting for their turn to go back with the video games, activity table, and a movie playing. If you have a kiddo that has severe anxiety about dentist, this is the perfect place to change all of that. We drive all of the way from Atlanta to see Dr. Rider! Our son is Asperger's and suffered from severe anxiety of dentist. Dr. Rider and staff worked with him and now he has no fear of the dentist and gets excited for his check ups. Today we had our first visit with my daughter who is 2.5. Your staff was amazing with her. Michelle the hygienist made her feel like a princess and put pretty doc sparkles on her teeth. She loved it. Dr. Rider came in and just made her light up with joy. She smiled so much afterwards. My kids have never complained about going to the dentist and have never been scared. The younger one enjoys the toy area and movies in the waiting room and free WiFi makes the older ones happy. My 4 year old usually goes back with an older sister but she was perfectly fine going alone to get a filling. We've moved out of the area and still make the longer drive to see Dr. Rider. read more

Dr. Rider and his staff are excellent with children. They always make it as fun as possible for them with toys and movies, but most important in my mind is that they speak directly to their patients and on their level. I was very nervous since I had not been to the dentist in a while and because I did not yet have dental insurance. I was running about 15 minutes late because it was further away then expected and I got stuck at work. They let me back and did not give me a hard time about this at all. The dentist I saw was the son of Dr. Wright. He was super personable and helped me be at ease. He numbed me up so well that I had no pain during the procedure and did not even have to take any pain meds after. The best part was he didn't even charge me full price, he only charged me what people normally have to pay out of pocket after their insurance pays their portion. Naturally after I got insurance I didn't hesitate on who to go back to when I needed the rest of them pulled and a cleaning. The cleaning I needed was more intense since I hadn't been for one in a while. They contacted my insurance while I was with the hygienist and let me know what part was covered and exactly how much to expect to pay out of pocket. When I came in to do the procedure I again felt no pain before or after and this time it was Dr Wright and a hygienist! Dr Wright even took some money off because I had had a bad day (someone hit my car and tried to take off). The 3 times I have been there have been fantastic. I will recommend them to my family and my friends! Even though I live about 30 minutes away I will continue to go to this office.

In the waiting room they have a little fridge stocked with all kinds of drinks, a kids room with a video game console and laptops for you to use. In the actual rooms they have leather massaging chairs and tvs that have a pretty decent selection of channels. I love their hygienist assistant, Joey, she's very friendly and funny. All the staff their are great though. Dr. Mulzer is really nice. They used to be very close to my house and even though now they're almost 30 minutes away, I think it's completely worth it.
