2 years post surgery and the tummy tuck looks even worse! This man is just money hungryread more

I chose Dr. Madry for a tummy tuck in November 2024 to address the excess abdominal skin left after…read morehaving two very large babies. At our initial consultation on June 12, he was polite but seemed rushed and didn't spend much time discussing details. Still, he offered to perform the procedure at a reasonable price, so I decided to move forward. The surgery itself went smoothly, but recovery was incredibly painful. I couldn't stand upright for weeks. By January, I noticed swelling in my upper abdomen, which I initially assumed was just part of the healing process. Unfortunately, the bulge continued to grow rapidly, and I knew something wasn't right. I called Dr. Madry's office and was told he was leaving the country and wouldn't be available for another two weeks. At that point, the swelling was about the size of a lemon and getting bigger every day. When I expressed my concern, I was shocked by how I was treated. The office staff was dismissive, defensive, and even blamed me for not coming in sooner. Dr. Madry later called me from overseas and also made me feel shamed and at fault. They referred me to another surgeon at Good Shepherd who was covering for him, but I was told he wouldn't be able to see me for another week. Meanwhile, the bulge had grown to the size of a grapefruit. After some research, I realized I was likely dealing with a seroma--a fluid-filled pocket left behind after surgery. As a professional photographer, this growing mass made it extremely difficult to work. In desperation, I contacted my previous surgeon in Chicago, Dr. Michael Lee, who drained a significant amount of fluid from the area. I continued to see him for repeat aspirations--about ten times--until it became clear that this was not sustainable financially or logistically. Emotionally drained and hesitant to return to Dr. Madry after my experience, I resorted to draining it myself every few days. It's a painful and risky process, involving sterilizing the area and inserting a four-inch needle into my abdomen. Dr. Lee has now advised that I'll need another surgery to permanently resolve the seroma. It will cost $5,000 and require two weeks off work. I've had over ten surgeries in my life and never had any issues--until now. This has been my worst medical experience. Not only is the seroma still present, but the incision from the tummy tuck is large and poorly done. I also continue to have significant swelling that gives the appearance of a pot belly--on top of the seroma in my upper abdomen. Looking back, I deeply regret not investing in a more experienced and compassionate surgeon. I wish I had paid more for someone who would've treated me with care and delivered better results. This has been emotionally, physically, and financially devastating.

Attempts to call the office were not answered - the only response was through text, when they felt like responding. I would have left, normally. But since payment was given upfront... I felt pressured, misled, and even shoved toward a mirror, told to stand a certain way so I couldn't see poor surgical results. When I spoke up, I was told to ignore his behavior. I later found my records had been altered and learned that staff routinely lie for him. I even have text messages that support my claims. In addition, my Botox treatments here never lasted -- I was told it was because of my age, but since switching to a new injector, they now last twice as long. I also noticed that negative reviews about this practice disappear, while patients are solicited to post positive ones in exchange for free treatments. This left me feeling unsafe, disrespected, and deceived. I will be filing a complaint with the state board.

I made an appointment for a consultation for a little jaw refining given my upcoming wedding. When…read moreI called the woman who answered the phone was completely clueless and could barely understand anything - I had to repeat and spell my name about 5+ times. Then she told me that consultations were done via zoom which I had no problem with. But she told me she was not sure how to set up the virtual consultation. I couldn't understand how they could offer virtual consultations if they didn't know how to set them up? Then she kept telling me that there was a "girl" who sets them up. Clearly there were language barriers. I was emailed from an undetermined email a number of days later, with no heading from the email, no practice insignia, address and not even the person who emailed me signed. She asked me if I was still interested in the consultation and said yes. I was told I would be sent a zoom link the DAY of my appointment in the afternoon. I was also told that even though the appt is made at 5:30pm the doctor may not show up a tithe time and he might be late. The day of my appointment I received a TEXT with another person's name confirming the appointment. I texted them back letting them know it was the wrong person. The person who texted apologized, misspelled my name, and had spelling mistakes in the text. She then told me I would receive a zoom link later on. This is starting to sound like a horror story. Then I get texted saying that the doctor wants ME to email HIM with a zoom link. What kind of practice/doctor would ask a patient to email them a zoom link for a virtual consultation? This is of course contradictory to what I was told would be done. What a complete joke. I cancelled my appointment as if they can't even get a simple consultation right, who knows what kind of results can be obtained from a surgical procedure. No thanks. The woman who texted me told me how they were "too busy" to set up virtual consultations. What a joke. Clearly not up to medical and adequate surgical standards in my opinion. As a physician myself, your staff can make or break you. While I have never met the physician himself nor do I know what his abilities are, his staff is clearly an atrocity. Rude, inept, unprofessional. No thanks. I guess you get what you pay for. Found the deal on Groupon. Things now make sense.
