This place suck the glasses are bad advertising I told them I was disappointed I paid extra so if my glasses broke I can get them fix by them in two months of having them it started falling off my face and broke on the side it's cheap plastic only good thing was just the lenses do not go here save your money and go somewhere else I thought I should of give it a try again and same issue I called to get them fix and had the receipt that I paid extra and they told me that still needed to play extra even tho I was dissatisfied fucking unbelievable never going back they they also said to use this eye. This clinic accepted me as a patient when we were on Medicaid while my husband was waiting for his new insurance to kick in and I have been going here ever since. Dr. Hajali is very knowledgeable, up-to-date and experienced with a wide variety of eye problems. She is happy to explain and answer questions. Everyone at the clinic is considerate of patient comfort and schedules. Costs for services and eyeglasses are very reasonable. About half the time there is a wait, but never more than an hour. read more

This was my second experience with this clinic & it will be my last. On November 22 2024 my 9am visit that had been scheduled for 2 weeks got bumped to 1pm. I was informed of this upon arrival for the 9am visit. Did the exam & ordered two pairs of glasses to the tune of almost $400. The first pair took two weeks. The second pair did not come with the first. Repeated requests for info got me no where. The staff just shined me on. Calls to the business went unanswered & it took days for them to return the calls & with no answers. Finally after almost 4 weeks of waiting I called & demanded answers. They called back 3 days later to tell me that the glasses failed QC inspection & had to be reordered. Finally, 5 weeks to the day I have my glasses. While they do seem fine, it is only my first day with them. The only way I will ever set foot in this place again is if I have to use the insurance that I purchased with the glasses. read more

Dr Hajali is such an awesome doctor. Very capable yet down to earth. We've been coming to the Elgin office for over 20 years and now we've been going to the new location. Both locations are impeccable and have the latest and greatest equipment. She has taken care of me, my son and my wife. My wife has a rare form of macular degeneration that she had since birth and so many doctors were not even able to properly diagnose or describe the condition to my wife but Dr Hajali has taken the time to explain it, she has been following up with the latest medical advances on the subject and literature. She manages to amaze me on every visit by telling us the progress and by tirelessly answering every question with passion and skill. In addition, the whole staff has been so wonderful and understanding. I would recommend going to either location, you won't be disappointed. I really can't thank them all enough. read more

The office staff is very rude. I am a patient of one of the eye doctors for about a year. I went there with my wife and daughter when they both had appointments, so that I could make an appointment to get an eye exam before the end of the year. However, the office manager and staff would not let me enter the office because I did not have an appointment. I guess I'll have to find another eye doctor now. read more

Tried making an appointment as a new patient and the receptionist was so rude. She was getting upset that I was simply asking a question. When I asked to speak with someone else she placed me on hold and came back to tell me there was no one else I was able to speak with because her supervisor was on lunch. i was told to come in 30 mins before for registration and when i came in, i only had to fill out a single sheet. the doctor was great but the nurses don't really seem confident as to what they're talking about. so it makes me question what they suggest to do. once my eye exam was over, the nurse kinda just said to wait in the lobby to pick out glasses. i asked to see if there were any section that ins covers and she said "idk u gotta call ur ins". i just wish they took more time and were more thorough on next steps. came in thinking i was gonna get detailed explanations to my eye examination and left w even more confusion. read more

DON'T LET THEM SCAM YOU! Do not recommend going to this clinic! DON'T go to YASHAM ALAM, choose another doctor if you don't have options for other clinics. They do unnecessary procedures and advertise all kinds of services. I went there for contacts prescription and they made me schedule 2 appointments, so that they can charge my insurance more money. They made an unnecessary scan of my eyelids and didn't even tell me what it was. Second time I went there, they said they wanted to give me dilation drops to check the back of my eyes! WTF?! of course I refused, because IT IS NOT NEEDED FOR CONTACT PRESCRIPTION! I've been wearing contacts for 6 years now, this is not the first time I'm getting them, but this clinic thinks they can fool their patients and only want their money. After that doctor tried to convince me to do their eyelid procedure, which is of course, not covered by insurance and costs $950! Okay, I chose a different contact brand the second time I went there, but I didn't know it was so expensive. When I went home I called them and asked them to give me the same prescription, but with a different brand, and they said I would need to come for an appointment if I want that! SUCH A BIG WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME, AND I DIDN'T EVEN GET PRESCRIPTION WITH CONTACTS THAT I WANTED!DON'T GO THERE, AND ESPECIALLY DON'T LET OLDER PEOPLE LIKE YOUR PARENTS GO. read more

A lady that seemed to be in charge or maybe worked there longer because the other workers would ask her questions, not sure was of rude and disrespectful. The eye doctor I got was so nice and I honestly can't believe their customer services as to ruin the whole experience. I was looking for glasses to buy after I bought my contactas and a lady told me if I wasn't going to buy anything that day to stop looking at them... I would not get my glasses here again except this is the only place that takes my insurance. I waited six months for my glasses. The only redeeming quality was the doctor who was very nice, but I waited for over an hour ro see her. Watch out if you're a BCBS Community plan member, this place is clearly only interested in $$$. The Dr. doing the exam was great, but that is where "customer service" ended. Afterwards, a front desk staffers pointed me towards a small rack of eyeglass frames. Unfortunately, the "available" frames for this plan are very limited - anything that looks nice is an EXTRA charge. Also, they push anti-glare coating on the lenses, which sounds great - but it's another EXTRA charge, which is not covered by the plan and costs an additional $60-70 out of pocket. (Kinda like being charged for undercoating at a car dealership.) When I called the week before my visit to schedule the appt., I was told that new glasses would take about 7-10 days. Today, I was told that it would take 3-5 WEEKS. WTF. read more

I was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience of this clinic. I was with my young child so I was happy that we did not wait long before our appointment. Dr. Manal was so good with my son, putting him at ease and checking not only his vision but the health of his eyes with a multitude of cool instruments. She did the same with me afterwards and explained my options and gave me recommendations. The front desk gave me my new prescription promptly. They had a full range of frames on display, all prices and styles. Weeks later when I needed the school form for my son, they provided it expeditiously. inexperience and poor service from one of the two optometrists. Suggest to use artificial tears to cure eye infections. expensive frames and glasses, with vision benefits paying $500, you end up have to pay another $400 by yourself for average progressive glasses and average frame. Walmart is much better. Owner is extremely impolite and rude. Take my money without giving service. Called in Elgin policemen. Policemen said they could not force the owner to pay back but if they were us, they would go to the circuit court to sue the owner out of business. You are all warned. read more

I had my first appointment today and from the front desk to the doctor was outstanding service. I had a lot of issues and each one was address and explained. The office was quite busy with customers but my wait time was very reasonable. The staff and techs were very polite and helpful. I will have to wait a longer time for my new glasses due to my insurance but I am so grateful this doctor excepts my type of insurance. The girls at the front dest could be a little more friendly. My mom asked told them that she wanted transition glasses. Glasses came in without being transition glasses and doctor said nothing could be done about it. He said that my mom did not ask for that. I recently broke my glasses and needed a new pair but it had been over 7 years since my last exam. So needless to say that was the first thing done at my appointment. When I arrived the staff was extremely busy but I and everyone I saw who arrived after me didn't have to wait to be greeted or checked in. Once checked It also appeared all the appointments were being done as scheduled including mine. I would estimate the wait time was only about 5-10 minutes. The desk girls really impressed me with how pleasant they were to every single person who entered. The way they multi tasked and worked as a team made me feel as if I was the only "important" person in the place, and I'm sure that was right along with everyone else! The doctor was very efficient, friendly and thorough. She was so thorough that she was able to discover what may be a serious issue that could have been very harmful if left undetected and untreated. She then took the time to explain all the steps I would have to take to fully discover the root of the problem and the steps needed to resolve it. She took the time to answer all my questions and ease my fear at hearing something unexpected and potentially harmful. I am grateful to have found a place that has such a wonderful working environment and doctors and staff who really do care about their clients. Thanks so much, you guys are great. read more
