However, over the past 5-10 years as he has scaled his business, the level of service has declined (first, a few minor mishaps here and there or things overlooked on my tax returns as I dealt with new, my guess, seasonal workers who never really took the time to know me or my finances beyond quick conversations). I saw less and less of him and more of other random employees handling my taxes. (It's fine, I guess. I'm not a millionaire, so perhaps he has bigger clients to tent to?!) His personal touch and friendly face was always a source of comfort during what could be an otherwise stressful time: tax season. The major issue I have -which has led to my final decision to take my business elsewhere- is with the front office staff which was at one time run by nice, friendly women but have now been replaced by Michael's wife "Ledy". She is rude and lacks basic customer service. Most of all, given that a large portion of Mr. Rose's clients are African American, she could use a course on "cultural competency" and learning how to speak to black folks versus talking down to them or like she is above them! I would conjecture that the frequent turnover in office staff is due to her poor management "style" and lack of respect. It's too bad that she has gotten in the way of what was once a wonderful professional relationship.
