I dreaded having to come here the 4 times I did go, my first trip was to look for my own dress, which I was excited about. My Mom, sister and I all went and made a day of it. The girl helping us was lovely, however she was trying to handle myself and another bride. I was told not to take off dress without her help and had to wait for her to Put on a different one. I would have to stand there in a dressing was done with while she assisted other bride. Management should organize that better. Also I was told I was able to try on one more dress... We weren't there that long at all, maybe 45 min and much of time was spent standing around in dress I wanted out of. It was not a positive experience all around and wouldn't suggest putting this at top of list of places to try on dresses. read more

I rated David's Bridal 1 star only because I could not give it 0. I went to David's Bridal and found a special occasion dress that I liked and ordered it online in a different color. By the time that it arrived I had found a dress I liked better elsewhere. OMG who knew it would be almost IMPOSSIBLE to return. I took it back to the original store and was promptly told I could NOT return it there and that I had to obtain an RMA number online to get the OK for it to be returned. Well there is no phone number to call so I just requested this on line. No follow up email or RMA number from them yet. This is ridiculous. I will never, ever purchase anything from David's Bridal again and will encourage everyone I know not to either. My biggest fear is that I have only begun to slog through this BS. I am really surprised by this policy antiquated as every other store.......Macy's, Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, etc. all allow returns at any like store. read more

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I purchased my dress here but nobody that helped me was transparent about the extent and cost of alterations. The alterations manager was cold, unprofessional, and dishonest. It turns out I was sized incorrectly, but she didn't tell me this despite the concerns I expressed while she was pinning the dress. Alterations would have cost more than the dress itself! She eventually told the store manager that yes, I actually needed a different size. Since I couldn't afford the alterations, they would have to order the new size, but it couldn't be guaranteed to arrive until 10 days before my wedding day. And David's Bridal has a no returns policy. What a nightmare. The incompetence and dishonesty was appalling, and the store policies are completely unhelpful in situations like this. read more

Hi David's Bridal Folks, Thanks again for cementing my decision to never shop at your store. I had a bad experience at this chain years ago, but decided to give it another chance, considering businesses do sometimes turn around. That was a big mistake, as nothing has changed with David's. Your staff was slow and uncoordinated. They told me that one of the bridesmaid's appointments that I booked wasn't in the system. I took it in stride, no big deal... we just went ahead with the bridal consultation. Interestingly, six hours after the appointment, I received a phone call from David's Bridal letting me know my bridesmaid had missed her appointment. Nice. The fact that neither my sister nor I could pick out our own dresses (she also had a bridal appointment at the same time - she is getting married as well) was appalling. The dresses being selected by the consultants - one at a time - were not cutting it. 1. They put me in an ill-fitting bra - I brought my own, but they didn't want to let me wear it. 2. The dresses were brought to me one by one. The dressing process was not even started until forty-five minutes into the appointment. After I said that a dress wasn't it, the consultant seemed done with me. This was a deliberately slow process. 3. The dresses being brought were many sizes too big. I understand this is not out of the norm; however, I insisted that I would only try on dresses in or close to my size as trying on a dress four sizes too big could not accurately gauge the drape and cut of the final product without extensive alterations. The staff seemed trained to deliberately bring dresses in a size too large to encourage extensive alterations. I was looking for an off-the-rack dress with extremely minimal alterations, and they dismissed me like I was a nutcase. I have experience with bad alterations, so I would really prefer to get a dress that fits as well as possible from the get-go. That is not unreasonable. 4. I could not select my own dresses until I politely said that the dresses the consultants selected were not what I'd envisioned. I finally was allowed to look through the racks of dresses - after I got completely re-dressed into my regular clothes. 5. My sister found a dress she wanted to try on before leaving the store, but the staff told her she couldn't try it on, as there were "no attendants available" to help her, and her appointment time was over. If the staff didn't waste so much time, she would have had plenty of time. Additionally, there were attendants standing around, doing nothing. 6. My sister left her jacket in the store, which we realized 30 seconds after leaving. She asked one of the attendants we were working with about it, but they had no idea what she was talking about and were extraordinarily rude. Her jacket was placed in the lost and found box. The store was not full - there was no reason for it to be in there already, and for the staff to refuse to help her. David's has lost not one, but two brides' business because of this store's horrid customer service. David's Bridal is not a high-end boutique, but they act like they are exclusive. That is not the case. I wanted to spend $500 on a dress, but told the attendant I would be willing to spend more for the right dress. Apparently in a store that has its highest dress priced at $1,700, a woman coming in willing to spend close to that amount isn't good enough. I'll take my business and my money elsewhere. My sister will certainly do the same. Rest assured, we will ensure our voices on your horrible service are heard as loudly as possible. read more

I bought my dress from a David's Bridal in MN, so I thought it would make sense to get my alterations done at the David's closest to me in NC as well. Big mistake. First off, I walked in the door and told them I had an alterations appointment, someone came and got me & took me way in the back & I was chasing them trying to keep up. I was sent into a changing room & told to go change by myself - at my dress fitting the sales associate assisted in putting on my corset & dress. But at this David's Bridal I had to do it all myself - frustrating to say the least. Then I was told they only did things their way & there weren't other options for things like adding straps. The alterations guy was very unsocial & unresponsive. Overall, HORRIBLE customer service. Also, David's HIGHLY overcharges for alterations. They wanted to charge me close to $300. I ended up not getting my alterations done there & took it to a local shop where the tailor told me that was ridiculous and I ended up paying about $50 there. read more

We have been looking for a mother of the groom dress for my sister with no luck until i saw one online on Davids Bridal.com. I called our local store at 8:30pm to see if they had any in the store and ask a hundred questions about ordering it, return policies, size charts, and alterations. I told the young lady, Sasha, jokingly that we would see her in 5 minutes. Well, we decided to go and at least see it and get a better idea. So we jumped in the car and ran over there. I was calling as i was driving but they didnt pick up. I told my sister, "i bet you $100 that she is pulling it now!" We walked in and asked for Sasha, and sure enough, she had the dress waiting for us!!!We tried it, ordered it and were out by 9:02!!!! Sasha was the BEST associate we could have ever dreamed of. Actively ignored by the staff at the Southpoint location, even though I was wearing a suit and my fiancée was in a nice work outfit. We were so mad about the store experience, she decided to order things online. Turns out, David's bridal has ridiculously terrible return policies. Now she's stuck with an undyed pair of shoes that don't fit because they are technically "dyeable." Find somewhere else for your wedding needs. This place has terrible customer service. read more

So many people have negative things to say, so I just wanted to share that I had an amazing experience shopping for wedding gowns at David's in Durham. My stylist expert, Julietta, and the manager Jenn were both fantastic!! Julietta listneed to everything I asked for and found me the PERFECT gown. Jenn was also very attentive and helped me with veils, which I didn't think I would love, but did! Julietta asked me to ring the bell and make a wish for my wedding and my forever and had us all in tears. I would recommend this store and their excellent service to anyone. Great job:) read more

I have been here 3 times for my wedding and I've been really happy with the service at this location. I had the same sales associate, Sasha, helping me. She's wonderful - very patient, an excellent listener, interactive, and thorough. I came in for the first time without an appointment and we did have to share her with another group but she handled it well. I had a lot of different types of dresses I liked before trying them on and as we went through each dress she helped me figure out what specifically I liked about it so that we could narrow down the choices. She also checked every dress to make sure it was something I could potentially order in time for the wedding before even giving it to me as an option. They do have a policy of pulling one dress at a time, which made it a little trying for my mother and sister because everything takes a little longer, but it worked out just fine. I ended up finding my dress that first day and I love it! When I came back to pick it up I knew right away I had made the right choice. I came back twice with my mom and my sisters to try on MOB and bridesmaids' dresses. Again, Sasha was a winner helping me find the perfect dresses for my bridesmaids because she's an amazing listener and quick on her feet. She also remembered details about my wedding from our conversation over a month ago. I am very impressed that we found dresses for everyone at David's Bridal. The prices are extremely reasonable and the dresses we've selected are good quality. All 3 of my sisters got married before me and their dresses were bought at expensive boutiques at substantially higher prices, so we have spent a lot of time in bridal shops. I'm also very happy that they all get discounts because I bought my dress there - even more savings. We'll be buying the flower girl dresses there too. I recommend doing your research online before you go, making an appointment, and booking it with Sasha! You won't be disappointed. read more

This was hands down the worst shopping experience. I had an appointment to shop for some bridesmaid dresses. When I arrived I waited at the front desk for over 10 minutes, while I watched 4 employees stand around chatting. When one finally came over to help me, I was simply told to go browse and someone would be there to pull the dresses for me. Claire, my assistant, finally arrived with a print out of my details and a list of favorites I had added online. She showed me my list and said "you don't want me to pull all of these, do you?" Attempting to be accomodating I said, no and that it was OK and I'd like to look and pick out a few. Then, the WORST possible aspect of this David's Bridal shopping experience happened... Claire asked me what my dress size was and I said I wasn't sure but probably a 4. Claire then sized me up, literally looking from my feet up to my face, and asked in disbelief, "are you SURE?" I told her yes, I was sure, but this still wasn't enough for her. Claire then asked me "what size do you normally wear? you don't have to tell me all of your sizes, just your top size. Do you normally wear a S, M, or L shirt?" I told her that I normally wear a small and she said "Huh! Ok, well we will pick out a few sizes for you to try". She immediately proceeded to pick out a size 10 in one dress for me. I was stunned and I looked at the bride-to-be who had accompanied me there, she looked horrified and we just kept mouthing "oh my god" to each other. I then showed her several dresses I liked, and the sizes I thought would fit and wanted to try on. I had to do most of the work myself, as the dresses I had favorited were printed in black and white on a printer that was clearly running out of ink, so none were recognizable. Claire did ask what style I would like and what I thought looked best on me, but her suggestions fell short of what I described. The rest of the appointment I tried on the dresses I had picked out and Claire was mostly absent. She would occasionally pop in while I was looking in the mirror and make a comment about the size dress of the dress I was trying on. So, great, not only was my assigned shopping assistant a fat shamer she was a crappy assistant to boot. When I finally selected the dress I wanted, in a size 4, Claire continued to make comments and acted like she was shocked that size fit. It was beyond humiliating and ruined the experience. I now deeply regret buying this dress from the store and not buying online. I'm not sure if DB employees work on commission, but she certainly doesn't deserve to benefit from this sale. I should note that we had a similar experience when the bride stopped in to try on dresses. Thankfully, she went to a boutique to purchase her gown where there is actual customer *service*. After these experiences I will avoid shopping here at all costs. It's not wonder this chain had to file for bankruptcy. Get your act together! read more

I purchased a formal wear dress for my wedding dress yesterday and am highly upset to find out that I was misinformed about whether this dress would ever go on sale. Looking online today, I see that it is now on sale for $159.96 verses the $199.95 I paid for it last night. I specifically asked the girl who helped me whether this dress would go on sale any time soon and she told me that it would never go on sale until it became discontinued because it was a formal dress. I wanted to wait to purchase my dress but figured if it would never decrease in price, then I would go ahead and purchase it then since I had nothing to lose. When I got home, I looked online to see if there were any discounts that actually would have worked on that dress and discovered I could have saved $25 with a code advertised on the site. I was pretty irritated but eventually brushed it off but to look today and see it $40 cheaper is ridiculous because clearly there are sales on formal dresses which she knew and she lied to me to get me to buy the dress at regular price. I had intended on buying my bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dress, and my mother's dress there but considering their employees lie to their customers to make a sale, they don't have to worry about getting any further business from me. I hope it was worth it to lose a customer over $40. read more

While we had a good time and found my perfect dress, the customer service left something to be desired. I had a stylist for a 1.5 hour appointment; however, she also had another bride. I was left for long stretches of time in a dress and she didn't listen to what we were saying when we were suggesting new styles. Also, she made the comment at the end of my session that my time was up, after she had left me for 30 minutes working with another bride (not the first time this happened). I was perturbed by this statement and told her so at the time. That was ridiculously bad customer service for one of the most important purchases I will ever make. The winning dress was found by one of my bridesmaid and they helped me in and out of it. The stylist hadn't been seen in a while. I'm happy to have found my dress, but wish the customer service would have been better for the importance of this event - an otherwise perfect day was somewhat overshadowed by the chaos and lack of attention by the stylist. read more

Awful customer service. I needed shoes for my bridesmaid dress. The Raleigh location didn't have my size so they called Durham and asked to put a pair aside for me. I went to the store the same day to pick them up - the shoes were never put aside. After 30 minutes of trying to figure out which shoes I was talking about (I had to pull up all the information again as no one wrote it down in the store) they brought me the pair saying "they're scuffed up but they're the only ones size 9". I asked for a discount but I only got "you either take them for the price the way they are or we'll destroy them as they are too used to sell. you can just order new ones and pay shipping" No, thank you. Why should I pay full price for obviously worn shoes??? After refusing to pay full price and just buying a different size (lucky me, size 10 doesn't look so bad on my foot)...the store assistant didn't say a word to me anymore. read more

My daughter's experience at David's Bridal exceeded our expectations. Initially, she was hesitant to schedule an appointment and wanted only to try on dresses there to eliminate styles that did not work for her. We called on a Friday afternoon and were able to schedule an appointment the following day. Our consultant, Julieta, listened carefully to my daughter's preferences and pulled four dresses. My daughter, who had no intention of purchasing a dress that day, tried on three dresses, and said "yes" to the second dress she had tried. It was ordered and delivered within 5 weeks as promised; however, just 8 weeks before the wedding, we discovered a problem with the dress. The problem was ours, not David's Bridal. Although we did not feel hopeful, we made a phone call to the manager, Jennifer, who helped us to resolve the issue immediately. Of course, we could not be more grateful for her concern for our problem, her helpfulness, and professionalism. Without her help, we could not have resolved the problem. I understand that everyone's experience is different and I have read the negative reviews, but based on our experience, I highly recommend David's Bridal without hesitation. read more

I had my appointment on 1/31. I ended up being 15 minutes late but they hadn't given my appointment away yet. Sasha was the one who helped me that day. Besides me, she had a bridal party to take care of but I never felt like I was being rushed or unattended to. I knew that I didn't want satin, beading, or sleeveless. She brought me a few pretty dresses in the styles that I asked. I thought I was going to buy the fourth dress I tried but I asked her to find me something of her choice just to be sure. I ended up choosing her pick: a sleeveless satin ball gown with beading. It fit perfectly and it was half the cost of the dress I was originally going to purchase. This allowed me to buy my veil and slip the same day (and I was $100 under budget). Sasha was awesome and helped me find the perfect dress I never knew I wanted. She even gave me an average price for alterations that i would need. I almost wish I could have 3 ceremonies just so I could go through the experience again and again. read more

I had made a couple of appointments with David's Bridal in Raleigh but kept canceling because of all the bad reviews online. My family & I decided to try somewhere else but was truly appalled by the lack of selection (I'm a plus size bride). Being disappointed, I thought, what the heck, it can't get worse. I knew I needed an appointment to try on dresses at David's, so we decided just to look. To my surprise, even getting there at 5pm, I was able to get an appointment for 6. Julieta was assigned to help me, & she was just wonderful to work with. They closed at 7, but she never rushed me, & even after trying on 6 or more dresses my family had chosen, she said she had one more she wanted me to try. I went there on Saturday and had a horrible experience. My consultant, Sherita, I think had two brides she said. She was so unhelpful! Thank goodness someone was with me to get me in and out of dresses. I had gone to the website and saved about 10 dresses. She found 2! We were able to find 3 more. There was another girl there with short blonde hair that was so sweet and answered our questions. I finally got fed up and walked out with anyone saying a word.... Great job David's Bridal. If I could I would give them no stars! I have bought a few brides maid dresses here and it's always a horrible experience but recently was SUPPOSE TO BE my first time getting my alterations done here. I made my appointment months before, about 5 months prior and at the time I was told I would get a reminder call. Well the wedding is Oct 24 so today I called thinking this apt should be coming up soon. Come to find out my apt was Sept 10, today is Oct 12. Never received a phone call, email, letter, nothing reminding me of this apt. Then I am told we can fit you in tomorrow, but you will have a rush fee! A RUSH FEE?!?! Because YOU didn't remind me. And then according to the manager she can't waive that fee because it's not their fault I didn't receive the email. Oh and they don't call you when you don't show because "you could have gone somewhere else". Well why don't you do a Courtesy to find out if they went somewhere else or by chance never got you so called email. It's astonishing how very little they care about their customers! The shopping experience isn't any better considering you are always searching for someone to help you. Carolina Bridal World in Smithfield is where I would suggest anyone to go! David's Bridal is the worst. This location is no exception. They are rude, unhelpful and the store selection is terrible. Unfortunately, I understand the appeal for brides to use it since there are so many locations and dress options (in theory). However, it's so painful for the rest of the bridal party. If you are forced to buy a dress from David's Bridal, just buy it online. Their customer service was also terrible, but at least they have the full selection and you can return it. Because inevitably, it's not going to fit. I originally went into the store to try on dresses and they had minimal selection so I tried a couple on for sizing, but that was also unhelpful as the sizing for each dress is basically different and the dresses are uncomfortable. read more

I had HORRIBLE service at this David's. I made an appointment so that I would feel like I had enough time and individualized attention for my fitting, but I definitely didn't have that experience. I went with my mom, maid of honor, and future mother-in-law. My maid of honor picked out a dress that she liked and that I wanted to try and she got reprimanded for even touching it off the rack! I felt like I was competing for my stylist's attention. My stylist had my appointment, as well as a bridesmaid appointment that was supposed to be "just next door" (it wasn't) and even got called to a third appointment while she was with me! I had an idea of what I wanted in my wedding dress (I really wanted a halter-style dress) and I had said that I was not a fan of tulle or ballgowns, I liked satin, but didn't know how I felt about lace or chiffon. My stylist ended up picking out a couple dresses that were very heavily tulle! I spent most of my appointment waiting in a wedding dress that I didn't like while I wondered where my stylist went. Most of the opinions and insight I got came from my entourage and not my stylist, and she's supposed to be the one who knows what she's doing! Finally, at one point midway through my appointment, my maid of honor just went and pulled the dress off the rack that she liked and my mom helped me try it on just so I could try a dress that was like the one I had envisioned in my head! (My stylist later thanked her for doing that because she had so many other appointments to tend to.) Towards the end of my appointment, my stylist told me we only had a few more minutes left in my appointment and I only had time to try on one more dress. The last dress I tried on made me feel like a chicken - way too many ruffles at the bottom! I left David's feeling very defeated and deflated because I didn't have the ideal experience that I would have hoped for in finding my perfect dress. I hope it's not always like this at this David's, but I've heard from several people that I know that the David's in Durham treats girls like cattle, trying to get them in, get a sale, and send them on their way. And, for as important of a day as it is, I would hope that they would realize that decision and that dress are too important to rush! read more

I made an appointment online (which was very easy to do) to try on wedding dresses. I had been researching wedding dresses prior to the appointment so I would have an idea of what I'm looking for. I have to say the experience of shopping David's Bridal online vs in store is vastly different. At first I was so overwhelmed, but luckily I had my sister and two best friends with me to help me pick out some dresses to try on. Kandace found all the dresses for me and set me up with a dressing room. It was so nice to have the opinions of my friends and advise from Kandace. It's funny how you think you know what you want until you start to actually try things on. I came to the appointment convinced that this would just be a try on session, and I left with the perfect dress! It was a little outside my budget, but Kandace helped me get a credit card with 6 months interest free. Being able to pay for the dress in installments actually made it affordable. Kandace let me know that I can have my dress altered and preserved at David's Bridal, and with their selection of shoes and accessories it really is a one stop shop. I highly recommend David's Bridal for your special day! read more

I was very impressed on my first trip to this store. I was greeted warmly and everyone was very patient with me while I tried on wedding gowns. However, they are still SALESPEOPLE. They will do anything to make the sale, including flatter you and tell you that just about anything looks good. I can tell what I like and don't like, and my MOH was there to help me as well. BUT the dress that I loved had a flaw that the salesperson told me was only because I was wearing the wrong corset underneath. When I went back to get alterations with the correct undergarments, the flaw was still there. This cost me another $50 to fix. Now the bodice of my gown has less structure than I wanted but at least you can't see the metal boning that came down approximately 2 inches below the bodice. I would like to say that the service in general at this location is much better than some that I've heard about in the past. All in all, I would send my friends there with the warning of try it on as many different ways as possible! read more

While we (bridesmaids, bride's mom, and bride to be) arrived on time (15 minutes early) for an appointment to look at bridemaids dresses we had to wait 25 minutes because the employee who was suppose to help us was still on her lunch break. The time when we had to wait, the staff did not check up on us and let us know what was going on. It was not busy at that time and we saw them standing around. This was not a great experience, I am just being honest. It was really crazy in this store and there was no one who worked there really paying attention. We did have an appointment but had to wait a really long time before getting matched with a stylist. Over 30 minutes. We probably should have just left. The manager, Jen was berating employees in a very open and public way. The stylist next to ours was working very hard but being fussed at by the manager was not helping. The manager then went on to talk about what a great stylist she herself was. The manager then took her nasty comments out on a customer who was checking out in front of us. I was in this David's Bridal earlier this morning with a friend searching for a veil. We were the only two people in the store along with a full staff of about six employees. When we walked up to the counter were all of them were just standing, not one of them asked if we needed any help or acknowledge the fact that we were standing there. RUDE!!!! I will never step foot in that David's Bridal in Durham NC 27713, for any reason ever again. FYI the smell of the store complimented the customer service that was never provided, a very strong smell of piss! In the end, we ended up driving to the other David's Bridal in Raleigh where we were greeted immediately as we walked in and directed by an associate to the veils. read more

I had the best experience today! We were early so my mom and I were able to walk around and look and the dresses and start finding ones I wanted to try. Promptly at 10, my associate greeted us, asked a few questions about my vision and style, and we were off! She navigated those aisles with grace and pulled what I wanted as well as some options of her own. We went to the fitting room where she measured my bust and brought me a nice strapless bra even though I was wearing one. Her name is LaToya! She helped me in and out of every gown, clipped when she needed to, brought me slips, veils, and shoes to try. It was a great experience! I wound up ringing the bell because I fell in love with an Oleg Cassini gown. I said yes to the dress! Thanks again, Toya! I rated a 4 because I have not had to deal with alterations yet but will review when I do. Side note: the other boutiques I went to said the dress would take 6 months to arrive. At David's, I'm getting it in August, less than a month wait. Maybe because they are a bigger chain, but I have peace of mind knowing I will have it and can alter it up to 2 weeks before my day. read more

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. The only reason I am giving it one is because the girl that initially helped me when trying on dressed was nice to work with. Then came the alterations. HORRIBLE. First I had a lady that barely spoke English and did not understand a word I was saying. There was just a lot of smiling and nodding. Then when we came back to pick my dress up, it was done COMPLETELY WRONG. The did redo it at no cost, but when I came back to pick it up a second time it was still not right. This time they charged me another $100 on top of the first alteration fee. to fix it again. They said the way I wanted it, I needed to get it hemmed, but strangely enough the first lady pinned it the way I wanted it, just didn't sew it right. Whatever, I paid and decided to have my seem alterations done as well because i was running out of time. OMG.....went to pick it up and it was so small we could barely zip it (only 2 weeks later...so it wasn't from weight gain) So again, they re pinned it and told me to come back a few days later. Guess what....WRONG AGAIN. they took out the bust so much you could see down my dress. The lady working decided to do a "quick fix" on it and did a hack job on both sides of my dress causing one side to be almost an inch higher than the other. I immediately told them to take out the "quick fix" and sew it correctly. I sat there for over an hour waiting and it's still too tight.....I just couldn't take it anymore. I left with my dress and decided to take it elsewhere. I am guessing the biggest problem is every time you go in for an appointment you have a different employee. RIDICULOUS! Saved money on the dress, but spent more than anyone ever should on alterations and dealt with very unprofessional people. FRUSTRATING! do not use the alterations department! read more

To the blonde working the counter last night (4-8-2014) 7:00 pm, whom I assume was a manager, you portrayed the worst customer service I have ever seen. Especially when your alterations department completely jacked up the only two things I asked you to do on my dress. As a bride there for a final fitting, pushing my refund back to me, never apologizing for the errors and quickly making me sign my receipt and leave was rude. I want to thank Kimberly in alterations as she was sweet and tried to fix the mistakes made by your alterations department. I left there with my dress and had to remove the alterations your shop did and now go somewhere else. With my wedding 10 weeks away, it is another layer of stress I didn't need. You didn't apologize, nor did you acknowledge your shops mistakes. A bride leaving your shop unhappy is not a way to do business. Not acknowledging the errors or apologizing is unprofessional. A simple apology goes along way. You should consider another line of business besides working in a bridal shop since you seemed incapable of being sympathetic and basically blamed me for the work your shop couldn't do. You basically said, "they shouldn't have told you we could do that", well that doesn't fix my problem. Thank god I plan to be married this one and only time and I will certainly recommend to any other person I contact with to not go to your shop. Oh my god! i get better service at Red Lobster. This first time as a bride to be was not what i excepted. I was by myself because i wanted to get a jump start at looking at some gowns. i was so ignored. however, i came back 2 days later with a friend and can i help you. oh yes now you want to help is what i thought. i even have pictures of how my surposed to be assistant paid more attention to the girl next to us, who was with lots of her family memebers. thanks mom, you should have come from ny early so that i could get a little bit of service at David Bridal. after the poor service i finally had reached my point of i am not shopping here and niether is my Daughter in the next 15- 20 years. i Cancelled my lawaway 2 months ago. Guess what!! if you pay in cash they will not pay you in the store. you have to wait almost 2 month before you get you cash back, which is mailed in a check. We arrived 15 minutes early to our bridesmaid dress appointment in Durham on a busy Friday evening and the staff was curtious and helpful. The staff was very attententive. Lots of customers in the store. They had a good selection of shoes (mostly high heels though and some sandals), embellishments, and hair pieces too. Easy shopping, nice dresses. Definitely not an intimate botique shop. Bridesmaid fabric isn't as upscale as botique bridesmaid dresses but nice selection. Staff seemed trained and professional. After trying on a few dresses that the bride had pre-selected, the staff measured me for size on site, and a week or so later bride decided to go with their bridesmaid dress style/company. Our bridesmaides from across the US ordered by phone. We had no problems with the order or pick up. We even had a shoe problem (one strap was too long) but they swtiched out the shoe with no hassel. read more
