Typical big box bridal store... nothing special there. Dress came from there, all my girls Bridesmaid dresses came from there. My alterations on my dress was botched and redone and botched again, but the women were awesome that worked in alterations. I paid a fortune for alterations in the end when they really should have given me a discount for having me drive out there and stay for an hour and then have to leave my dress again because it was messed up and then have to pick up 2 days before my wedding. The manager of the entire place is super unfriendly and very rude to me when the alterations department made us go past closing time (wasn't my fault!) Here is why I wanted to leave a review..I got my veil from there and it was an ivory that matched my dress...well, when I purchased it off the rack, one of the girls working went and grabbed a new one from the back that was in a bag. Idiot me trusted the worker and didn't take it out to make sure it was the right one. Come picture time on my wedding day, literally like 2 hrs before the ceremony, I take it out and put it on and my mom makes a big deal about how it doesn't match my dress. I look and it is bright white! Totally clashed my dress and for $200, I wanted what I paid for! I had to take pics with it but my awesome mother in law got David's Bridal on the phone and somehow got them to hand deliver an ivory veil right before the ceremony. Tag on it said $189 and mine was $199 so it obviously wasn't same one but whatever at that point. Although they screwed up, I'm so thankful they delivered one because I was upset. I'm sad the pictures had to be taken with the bright white one but that's less important than the ceremony. It all worked out, thankfully. I spent about $2500 there so it's the least they could do for almost ruining my bridal "look" and getting my mom in an uproar. read more

From when I first started coming here to find my dress Ingrid was always the best she was very accommodating for my needs and wanted to do the best for me and as well as Alyssa she tried to help Alyssa, because my dress got sold last minute before ordering the dress but Ingrid really tried to fix the situation. Ingrid also helped me get my mothers dress and helped her so much so that meant a lot to me! The managers are really nice too I traded my stash out and my veil and they accommodated me to return it so I was really happy about that they did what was best to make me happy. I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff at David's Bridal in Peoria IL. My mother and I worked with Erin for my bridal consultation, where she was so helpful, listened so closely to what I hoped to find, and magically pulled gown after gown that were each prettier than the last! I was very nervous about dress shopping since my body is not exactly in the shape I had pictured it would be for my wedding, but Erin was so helpful in finding gowns that were truly right for *me,* and not just beautiful on the hanger. She could not have been kinder, and I feel so lucky to have been matched with her! However, nothing available that day had every element I had hoped to find, but it was still the most fun I've ever had shopping. Mom & I wound up finding THE gown online and having it shipped right home. I felt so confident ordering online after learning about sizing from the fitting. When it was time for my alterations appointment, Becky was every bit as helpful as Erin had been, and just as personable and wonderful to work with. Not only did she honor an unusual request from us without batting an eye, but on a personal level, she really went above and beyond to help me see just how beautifully my dress will lay when it is fitted to my body specifically. I had a lot of anxiety about the fitting part given how my body has changed recently, but she took every effort to make it perfect. Her knowledge was incredible, and again, I feel so lucky to have been matched with her for our appointment! Finally, I just want to note how kind the other employees that we did not work closely with us still were to my mother & I. Mom is recovering from a knee injury and has quite a bit of pain that she can't always hide. DB employees consistently held the door for us, offered her chairs, and were attuned to our needs in ways that they certainly did not have to be, but were greatly appreciated. We also couldn't help but overhear other consultants working so kindly with other brides on their fittings. I came in this morning (On Black Friday) at 10:30AM, when they first opened. I had made an appointment about two weeks ago. When I first walked in, I asked them for their wifi password so I could Facetime my mom/sister who live down South. They said there was no WiFi which baffles me. I think they definitely need to fix this issue ASAP. However, here's the rest of my experience which I will update as it gets closer to my wedding (after getting my dress in hand, seeing the quality, and doing the alterations). I went in with 7 style numbers that I had in mind (from their website), a silhouette, cut, pattern, sleeve decision, etc. All of that went out the window once I started trying on dresses in-store. Why? This is why... My very sweet, friendly stylist, Narissa, kept bringing me styles that looked awful on the hanger to me (like I even refused to try some of them on) but I was willing to try with a FEW. The dresses looked nothing like the pictures I showed her of the dream dress I wanted (which kind of nagged me a bit). I just wasn't digging any of them. She told me ALL of the styles I had searched for from DB's online store weren't available in this in-person store location (major bummed about that). If you want to make sure this store has a dress you see online BEFORE arriving, call the store to assure they have the specific styles/designers you're looking at in order to avoid a colossal disappointment. However, THEN.... *I* saw a mannequin that had on this beautiful rose gold gown with a huge, long veil. I decided to try this gown on and absolutely loved it. I was about to decide on that gown but I needed to try on a different dress to see the size I would get for the rose gold dress. When I got into that different dress for the sizing, I knew that was it! It was from the same designer (OLEG CASSINI) but a completely different gown. I'm so glad that rose gold dress didn't fit right, otherwise, I would have completely overlooked MY gown. :) The gown was a bit out of my price range. They were having an online sale on David's Bridal . Com but those discounts weren't applicable to in-store purchase. However, the manager in this store made it happen and gave me the 20% off anyways. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thank you so much! So the gown I got was brand new to the store; I was the first bride to ever try it on so they technically gave me the "floor model," which I accepted after looking at every detail to make sure it was in pristine condition. The alterations manager told me she would keep the dress for a few days though to make sure all the beading was right, secure, and that the dress, overall, is delivered to me in perfect condition. They will be delivering it to my home in Chicago via FedEx, I believe. We will see how it looks! So here's my honest advice for future brides based on my experience today: 1. Go in to this store with low expectations. 2. Be willing to try different models, no matter what the stylist brings you. 3. Look at every single dress in that store with your own eyes and see what pops out to YOU. 4. Call to make sure they have any styles you may have seen on their website first. 5. Be honest with your stylist. They work on commission. They want you to be happy. 6. Book an early appointment! The store wasn't full at all, even on Black Friday. Awful service. When you go to David's bridal, expect to be an inconvenience to the majority of the women working there, (with the exception of the elder lady with gray hair. She is kind.) I've never been so disappointed in having to spend money somewhere. These women really couldn't give two shits about your special day, whatever it is. Any request you make is "shocking" to them. If I had the option to do it all again, I'd order online, have it tailored, and STILL be more satisfied then I was there. I would not recommend this location to anybody. My experience started out nice over the phone, whoever I spoke to was very polite and knowledgeable. However, my in store experience was horrendous. I stood in the dressing room almost 15 minutes before someone could come to zip me up. Not only was this frustrating but I felt very left on my own. There was a bridal party in the store at the time and I guess that means every consultant needs to attend to that one party??? Made no sense to me and I walked out without purchasing a dress. I am not wanting to complain but just to share my experience with the David's bridal in Peoria Illinois. The day that I said yes to the dress was a good experience. Bella was amazing. But all of the other times I have dealt with this store since has not been good. A lot of the girls I have dealt with since that day have had attitudes or have come off as rude. My 2 bridesmaids and I went in to look at dresses for them twice. We did not bother anybody. I pretty much knew what I was wanting them to wear. They each tried on a couple different dresses and we were treated like an inconvenience or a bother simply because we didn't have an appointment. I wasn't aware an appointment needed to be made to just browse and try on a couple dresses. When my dress came in, I asked to clarify that it was my dress or if it was my flower girls dress. I had been told once before that my dress was in and it was my slip that was in. So that's why I asked for clarification . The girl responded rudely and said I hope your flower girl dress wasn't over a thousand dollars. It has to be yours. I then asked if I needed an appointment to try it on when I came to pick it up. I was told I didn't. But then was given attitude for not having an appointment when I came to pick up my dress and asked to try it on. The experience when trying my dress on was even worse. It didn't fit quite right so an alterations person came out and literally said no to everything I wanted done and said she would recommend a different dress! I left so sad and left hating my dress. As a result I chose to have it altered elsewhere. Do better David's Bridal. A bride should never be made to feel that way. read more

I am getting married this August and since I am on a budget I went ahead and went with David's Bridal. If I knew then what I knew know, I'd have paid more to go elsewhere. The first time we went it was just for me and they were so kind and helpful. They helped me try on the different dresses I had selected and made sure I was comfortable. I ended up buying a dress that day and it went on the store credit card. We went back a couple of weeks later so my mom and my bridesmaid could try on dresses and I had decided I wasn't sure on my dress and had seen a couple online I wanted to try on. Once they heard that, they started to become very rude and ask "do I not like my dress anymore", why do I want to try on others, etc. They finally let me try on more but they would not help me try them on at all. I had my mom in the dressing room with me helping me with them. So then my bridesmaid was trying on dresses and they were no help there either. We went and found the dress ourselves and had to help her into them. Then it was time for my mom to try on the dresses she picked and even though the store was relatively empty, they told her she didnt have time to try any on. We argued with the lady for a few minutes and she went to talk to her manager and they finally agreed to let her try hers on. Then they also told us they would call when our dress came in, which would have been January 09. Well first week of February we call up there and they inform us that my dress had been in since begining of December. We asked why we hadn't gotten a call and the saleslady just laughed at us and said she didn't know why. So then they agree to hold my dress there until my fitting appt which was scheduled for beginning of March. They called my probaly 4-5 times that month asking me why we hadnt picked up my dress yet and if we could please come get it asap. But then I would call them back and they would be a-ok and the dress was fine. The next time I went up there it was for a fitting and that went relatively well since it is kind of a different area. Finally in May we ordered the bridesmaid dress after another fitting with basically the same results as before. There were a couple more instances in between all that but that was the major stuff. read more

I will start by saying I did find a beautiful wedding dress here and purchased it all within my budget. The service I received that day was also good...not great, but acceptable during that busy time of day. I originally went there because I assumed they would have a bigger selection than other places, but that was completely wrong. I wanted a dress with a lot of lace...that was my only request, and they had TWO to show me. Because of the poor service I received when picking up my gown three months later, I decided I was definitely NOT letting them alter my dress. They were hesitant to let me try on my gown again (???) and they told me it would take 4-6 weeks from the date of my fitting for me to get my dress back. It just seems as though they don't care enough about their customers to strive for better service. I won't be returning for bridesmaid dresses or any other special occasion in the future. read more

My attendant was extremely helpful but not pushy at all. She did have some great suggestions (added a belt), They don't get 5 stars because the dressing room walls are in a desperate need to be painted. It only bugged me cuz its all I could stare at while being laced into dresses. (Updated ) well they lived up to their (poor) reputation. They called me endlessly for no reason. Misplaced and switched the information on everyone of my bridesmaids dresses. Our information in the computer was never fixed...ever.During a fittig, the attendant knew nothing bout fitting a plus sized dress and was quite short with me. She simply told me I needed a bigger dress and walked away ( I did not). Its too bad their service is so poor because I loved my dress and the price was good. read more

If you need more then just a hem, do not get your alterations done at this location. The first appointment went well, and the seamstress suggested a hem and a corset. When I arrived to the second appointment with two of my bridesmaids, it was a different seamstress. She was not friendly and you could tell she wanted to be anywhere else then this appointment. When I walked out with the dress on, she didn't ask me once how I felt, or if I liked the alterations. She just began showing my bridesmaids how to lace the dress. After about 10 minutes , one of my bridesmaids had to be the one to ask me how I liked everything. The top part was too large and my breast were spilling out. When I brought this to the seamstress attention, she had the audacity to say to me "do you even have time to fix that?" Mind you, my wedding was over a month away. She then began asking me what I would like to be done. I wanted to say "I'm not sure, you are suppose to be the professional??" When she finally suggested an option, she didn't even measure what needed to be taken in. She just wrote a note and told me to get out of the dress. When I came back for the third time (I live an hour away by the way) it was another seamstress (the third I saw). When we arrived right on time for our appointment, the seamstress was late because she was on lunch. Once I got into the dress, the top part of the dress was still too large and my breast were still spilling out. If the woman would of measured what needed to be taken in, this would of been avoided. I once again had to be the one to bring this to the seamstress attention since she did not ask me how I felt. This seamstress actually measured what needed to be taken in, but I still needed to come back for a fourth time. At the final fitting, when it actually fit, it was still a very uncomfortable experience. This was with the first seamstress I saw, and her behavior was very inappropriate. She scolded by bridesmaid like a child for helping me put the dress back onto the hanger. She then started questioning me why I was taking my dress back to where I bought it from (Cloud 9). I had no where to keep it before the wedding. She asked me why my mom couldn't hold on to it (for all she knew maybe I didn't have a mom) then she turned to my friend and pointed at her and said "why can't she keep it" and then kept questioning my decision to take it back to the shop I bought it from. It was completely inappropriate and none of her business. Overall I would not recommend a single person to get their alterations done here. On top of the gas it cost me to keep coming back, the interactions with the staff and the stress it put on me caused me to second guess my wedding dress. Thankfully on the day I felt beautiful and loved it, but not with the help of this place. Avoid this place at all cost. read more

Always a bridesmaid, never a bride but in this case I am glad!! No wonder getting married is so stressful with places like this to deal with. My poor friend really went thru it with this place. First, they talked her into buying her dress a size too big "because you can always take it in but you cna't let it out!" well most brides LOSE weight before a wedding so of course her dress needed $300 worth of alterations to take it down a whole size, when she could've just bought the correct size. Total scam on their part! Then she let us (her 'maids) picj any dress we wanted in her chosen color, green. We could all go whenever was easy for us and get them as our schedules/wallets allowed. Well, that worked great except for the 'maid who ended up with a PURPLE dress because that's what the associate told her was the color. Then they tried to not take it back when the bride went in with the 'maid to see what happened. Like one of her bridesmaids was going to be a different color than all the others?!?! Also, they SELL you the color swatches that match the dresses. Yep, the dress is $400 and you have to pay another $2 for a swatch to match some shoes to. This place has NEVER heard of customer service. I'd rather buy my (eventual) wedding dress on Ebay-I would probably get treated better. read more

I had the worst customer service experience ever. When I got to the store for my appointment I had to listen to three employees compliment each other on their outfits and hair and how impressed they were with each other that despite being totally trashed they still made it to work. Then I was told that I could order any girls dress that they liked in white and they would have no problem getting it by the first Saturday in May for first communion. I was only able to order one dress and was told it would take 4-6 weeks. I got a call 2 weeks later saying the dress was in and I had 6days to pick it up or it would go to the floor to be sold. Terrible service. I was told to add favorites on-line prior to my appointment. When I got to the store, I was told that they did not have 75% of my favorites (when I could see half of them on the sales floor with my own eyes) and that they are not affiliated with Davidsbridal.com (not sure why I needed to add favorites then). The associate did not listen to anything I said; whipped out 3 dresses that I did not like and proceeded to force me into them. My mother picked ONE dress that she knew I would like (which I did) and associate told her to put the dress down and to sit down (not kidding). My appointment was supposed to be from 4:30 to 5:30 or 6:00 however my "helper" was off at 5:00 so she made sure we were out within 30 minutes. We returned a week later for an appointment to look at bridesmaid dresses (trying to give them another chance); we were there for 45 minutes without a single person asking if we needed help. It was a terrible experience and NO bride (especially new brides) should go there. read more

When we showed up to out appointment our consultant Marissa was still busy with her previous group (also looking at bridesmaid dresses). No big de, right? Surely she will finish up with that group soon and help us? Nope, an hour later she comes to our group and says "I'm sorry your appointment time is up, I won't be able to help you anymore." I'm sorry, I don't remember Marissa helping is AT ALL. Marissa didn't even have another group after ours that she was helping; she was just standing around the shop ignoring my group. I'm not sure why David's Bridal makes a big stink about you HAVE to make an appointment in order to look at dresses, because they surely didn't honor our appointment time. read more

I would say this is your normal run of the mill factory dress shop but at other locations I've at least had a great experience with an interactive stylist friendly host. We came in for a bridal appointment at 5. As a maid of honor, I planned to try a few dresses on my own unattended. They did not like this. The host came to us to say there would most likely not be enough time before closing at 7. Had the place been packed I could have understood that they simply didn't have enough dressing rooms. However there was one bride (mine), one mother of the bride and one other appointment that walked in while we were there. There were 6 open dressing rooms just next to mine. The other side and back row of rooms were vacant minus two. When I did try a dress on it was ok. I asked for a similar style in my size. After checking, Alyssa said there were dresses with the right style but none in my size or the three sizes around mine. Since I've been to this store in multiple states and cities and know that the entire principle is to have every dress available in every size...I wondered if she didn't feel like dealing with us. Mind you it was 5:25 at this point. On the way out I looked for the sizes and unsurprisingly found two in the style and size I was looking for. It's clear they must have already made their sales quota for the day and were uninterested in making another one. Their loss. We also went to Country Bride in town and Bridal Elegance in Bloomington and had great experiences at both. I'd highly recommend both of those places over this factory shop. Good Luck! read more

My experience with David's Bridal was actually fairly decent. They let me pick out many different dresses to try on, and the sales lady did not pressure me to hurry. In fact, my appointment ran over, and she was busy helping a few others, but she still made sure that I had the help I needed. She also did not pressure me to buy a veil, shoes, corset, or anything else, which I was quite shocked about but very relieved. My alterations appointment went alright. That lady wasn't overly friendly, but she was not rude by any means. The dress was very nice. My one complaint is that they messed up appointment times. I was going to get bridesmaids dresses there, but they messed up that time, so I went elsewhere. I also was told that I could have my dress steamed again, and it would only take 30 to 40 minutes, but when I took it in, they couldn't possibly do it that day, and when I picked the dress up the next day, it still had the same wrinkles in it as when I took it in, but I didn't pay for it, so I couldn't exactly complain. Overall, it was better than I expected it to be but not as great as it could have been. read more

I have had no problems with communication, purchases, or alterations at this Davids Bridal. The ladies I worked with were very friendly, helpful, and kind. They seemed to really be interested in making sure my needs were met, which I appreciated. My first experience with this Davids was purely to scope out dress options. I will be a bridesmaid in August. My bride-friend and all of her bridesmaids are scattered throughout the US, so I figured Davids was probably the most convenient to start. The bride didn't give me any info to go off of at that time so I just decided to try a few different styles on to get an idea of what was out there this season. When I spoke with one of the sales ladies about this they were fine with me picking out a few dresses and trying them on to get an idea for cut, fit, etc. They gave me a seasonal bridal party catalog for perusing at home. It came in handy for referencing later on. My second experience was after my bride-friend finally picked out our dresses. She settled on a style # and color from Davids and told us to go ahead and purchase them. I went in and spoke with a sales lady. She proceeded to pull the style dress in the size I wanted. It fit really well, but had a slight issue with the height of straps so she had one of the available alteration ladies quickly estimate what might need to be altered and give a guesstimate price since I wanted a ballpark figure. Next the sales lady wrote my order up, checked it over with me, and voile! It was really easy. I understood at time of purchase that all sales were final, that the dress could only be held in store for so many days (otherwise they are not responsible for where/what happens to it), that if I needed alterations I would need to make an appointment, and that they would be contacting me via email and phone when the dress was ready for pick-up. My third experience was for store pick-up. One of the sales ladies brought the dress to me, verified all the details, double checked with me that it looked right, and I was out of the store! They periodically called me afterwards to see if I needed any assistance with anything else, and if so to not hesitate to call them. My fourth experience was with the alterations department. I called and made the fitting appointment, showed up and was taken back to the alteration dept for the appointment, paid for the service after the fitting, made a pick-up appointment fitting, got my receipt, and was outta there. They contacted me again to remind me of pick-up. My fifth experience was pick-up from alterations. I brought my receipt with me and was taken back to the alterations department to try on the dress and make sure it fit properly, which it did. There was an extra crease in the boob area so she quickly pressed while I finished changing. I got some tips on traveling with a satin dress since I'm not used to worrying about traveling far with those fabrics. We shall see how that part goes, but I'm not too worried about it. All in all I have had pleasant experiences with Davids and would consider doing business with them again. They are definitely not a boutique, so the interior layout and presentation leaves something to be desired, but every Davids I've been in is like this so its no surprise to me. I think i will never go back to the peoria ill store to buy my wedding dress inasked for a tea length gown. The sales lady took me to one said that is all she had like i wanted. Was a size 12 i am a size 16. I then asked if they still had dresses in the 99.00 sale she took me to them showed me a selection which was a small on kept asking me if i had an appointment. i told her no amd said if i could find a few dresses in that length i would male one.Then walked away. Like i had the pleg or something.There was maybe one other person shopping in the store. As i looked around i saw several more dresses in tea length. As I walked to the front of the store no one asked me if i would like to male that appointment. As I left the store none of the associates ever said thank you for coming in did you see anything you woukd like to try on or set up an appointment for. No one. I was a store manager for another clothing line and i will tell you if that was my store it would not matter if a lady walks in and would like to look at dresses i would stay woth her and treat her like she was the only one in that store. Make sure we find something in here style maybe pull a few and if we had no one in the store like the peoria store i would allowed her to try on a couple or at least showed her a gew in her style and her price ramge. I guess it mattered to the associate that i did not look like i had money to spend in that store. Well I did it was kinda like the movie Pritty woman when she went into the upscale clothing store and they told her they had nothing in her size and was rude to her. That is the way i felt. I do not recommend this store at all they messed up my sisters wedding dress not once not twice but three times how frustrating can that be for a bride the person that was supposedly helping her didn't do shit but take forever to bring her something and she would bring the wrong stuff and had an attitude the whole time also most of the bridesmaids dresses didn't even come in the correct size we are currently still waiting on two bridesmaids dresses to arrive and the wedding is in August and we bought our dresses in March anyways not recommended also the manager or whoever she claims to be didn't help much at all my sister should of got her dress for free for all the shit she went through read more

I ordered my dress a little while ago and found the I have put on a little weight since my fitting and my daughter who is now also in a bigger size and i am now getting ready to have our big event...how can you do anything when something that doesn't fit.....I know...you call on the help of the associates of davids bridal...I got everything taken care of and walked out of the store with my dress..my daughters Dress and also set up alterations....I couldn't be more pleased with the service and the niceness....:-) read more

The evening we were there Deb the manager was so kind and showed so much compassion. . My daughter's husband was stationed in Japan at Yakoda Airforce base . The customer service is a JOKE, how David's Bridal in Peoria is even still operating is beyond me! My mother came in to look for Mother's dresses and not one person ONE person of the many employees that apparently were malingering about the store offered to help her in any way. What a disappointment for your business!! Ladies if you want exceptional customer service and good quality dresses go to Country Bride they will not disappoint. All my bridesmaids purchased their dresses at Country Bride, great service and timely delivery. I will never recommend Peoria David's Bridal to anyone ever. · I am my sister's MOH. She gets married in 3 weeks. David's Bridal has had my dress since July 5th or so. When I originally went in for my first fitting, the alterations lady was AWESOME! She was so sweet and nice, we had to take my dress in 2 or 3 inches because it was too big. When I went in two weeks ago, the zipper was sewn too close to the fabric and snagged as I was taking it off of the hanger, then it snagged as the alterations lady (NOT the same one I originally had) was trying to zip it. She then said "I don't know, girl. It's probably too small." EXCUSE ME!? I've lost 35 pounds since I was first sized, then got it altered now, because you made a mistake and sewed it too close to the fabric I'm fat!? No. I go pick up my dress tonight and if I have any further issues there better be some refunds...I've paid more for alterations than I paid for the DRESS! Ridiculous. read more

Oh my goodness! I have given this store so many chances, and I have no idea why! First off, My good friend and I made an appointment to try on wedding dresses for her wedding next October. We are young (21-22) which I can understand a little trepidation because young people aren't who people normally see as mature and/or bridal ages yet, but we had full intention of buying a dress. Now with that said we went in, on time for our appointment, we went through the racks, picked some out, waited... waited... oh and waited some more for our associate to come by. She finally did but I kid you not, we were left alone for almost our whole appointment! YIKES! Needless to say we got her dress somewhere else... Next, I am a plus size woman and I understand as well as the next retail associate it can be hard to find/get/sell to a plus size person, some things just don't work but when I went in, again, for an appointment to try on Bridesmaid dresses (here we go, giving them another shot) my consultant would not* stop pointing out things like, "Well I don't know if that comes in your size..." or "well its a special order for your size..." or "You can check that rack for a dress but theres not many in your size..." It needless to say became rather discouraging. I am not bashful about my size, and my feelings don't get hurt but I was rather embarrassed when even my best friend pointed out that she was being rude. I'm sorry for the other women she helped if they are plus size! EEK! Again, just trying to give them a shot, I went in for a different wedding with the rest of the bridesmaids and our consultant did not seem the least bit interested in us. Talk about feeling disregarded! We were in the store for an hour and I swear it must have been the worst hour of her life, by the way she was acting! UGH! I had an appointment set for 3 in the afternoon at the Peoria location. When i walked in the girls just looked at me. I stated i had a 3 o'Clock appointment. They said please wait and the girl assigned never did come out to help me. When Lily finally did decide to help me. she was not warm and friendly. She asked what i was looking for. I tried to explain . This was second marriage but my FIRST wedding dress. I was nervous and excited needless to say they feeling was taken over by frustration and sadness. she listened pointed to a rack and said these are your choices. I tried explaining more and she just kept looking at me. I finally tried one on and she immediately went into me buying it and how i should wear a certain size but they didn't have that size available so it wouldn't hurt me to size up. I just thanked her for her time and said i would call back... These girls were very unprofessional. Rude and do not represent Davids Bridal at all. I had a very high budget and i'm sorry but i will not be back. Shame on the management for allowing the staff to act like that. I would rate them no star if it was possible. read more

Poor selection. I went with my bridesmaids looking for short chiffon dresses; they had 3 styles. THREE. in the whole store. Honestly, they're not really even cheaper than other places. We went to a different store and got 4 different dresses which were all relatively the same prices as the ones at Davids Bridal. Also, the girl working with us was relatively unhelpful and uninvolved. Not to mention, the dresses that my girls tried on were completely wrinkled. My initial experience with David's Bridal was great - my sales consultant was amazing and had no issues ordering the dress with plenty of time to get alterations done (the 5 person bridal party I am in had a HORRIBLE time ordering their dresses (different out of state store) and the other girl who is in the same style as me was also told her dress wouldn't be here in time for the June wedding...that was in early January...and their consultation was a gigantic jerk to them and made the bride instantly regret her decision to buy the dresses from DB). The bride said I was the only one that didn't have a negative experience....but then she jinxed me! I went back for my alterations at the date DB suggested when I picked up my dress - 6 weeks out - they said plenty of time to make alterations if the alterations needed altering. Well, I went to pick up my dress on Friday night and they didn't do all that they were supposed to with the dress alterations! I didn't know whether to cry or what I should...I was not happy. I think I was most unhappy about how the seamstress treated me like it was my fault that the dress didn't fit properly! I'm very large chested, but have a much smaller waist, so all of my dresses need work - this isn't the first wedding I've been in - so I know the drill with how it all works. To make matters worse, the seamstress played it off like the dress looked okay and I was overreacting. I looked frumpy to say it nicely. I asked how much it would be to fix it, she started calculating things and said it would be over $200 since I needed it short notice. She then proceeds to tell me that if it would have been written a certain way on the invoice, they wouldn't have charged me...WTF?!?!? I was fuming and I certainly wasn't going to pay that much for a dress that didn't even cost that much! I signed whatever piece of paper I needed to get my dress back and left the store in tears. Thank God I found a local tailor that was able to help me the next morning with the mess of a dress I had. A total of 4 INCHES needed to be taken out of the sides of the dress and the top snap where the halter connected was frayed because who knows what DB did. The more we looked over the dress, the more snags and loose strings we found on the dress. It was unbelievable and I'm frustrated that I paid them for those alterations in the first place.
