I felt extreme immense pressure during the try on process to purchase the dress that I went with. It was very expensive, and when I realized the mistake I had made it was a week passed the return policy, even though it had not yet been worn or altered in any way they were unable to give me any type of assistance. Now I am stuck with a dress that I paid almost $4000 for that I have extreme buyer remorse for and my wedding is coming up in 30 days. I have no options. Devastated to say the least. read more

David's Bridal was recommended to me as a good place to go for reasonably priced fancy dresses to attend formal occasions. Last year I just walked in and wandered around when I needed a new dress, but I heard they were being pretty strict about needing an appointment this year, so I made one online the day before I wanted to visit. I checked in the day of my appointment at the front desk, and was immediately assigned Jessica to help me. She led me to the section where my size was, and took the dresses from me that I wanted to try on and put in the fitting room for me. While I was trying on, she helpfully brought a couple other options for me to try, all in my price range of around $100. I wish there were mirrors in the fitting rooms, but you are forced to come out to where your helper is waiting to zip you up, adjust the liner, straps, etc. I picked out a dress I liked, but didn't love, purchased it, brought it home and tried it on again, hated it, then brought it back the next day. For some reason, I could not find my receipt, but they easily looked me up in their computer system and there was no hassle with the return, which is why I gave them four stars. read more

Okay so. I came here to get an idea of dresses my fiancé liked on me and also what style fit best because you can't really tell from photos. Although the stylist was nice, the reason I'm giving one star is because there's no mirrors in the dressing room so you're forced to come out where everyone else is. That's just a minor inconvenience, however, my fiancé was taking photos of me in the dresses, and I wasn't aware that while fluffing the dress, it went so high that my bare ass was being showcased to the entire store. There were other gentlemen there, and in one of the photos I can see some guy staring directly at me in the mirror. After seeing that my behind was on display in the middle of the store, I was mortified. It wasn't even just the bottom of my cheek, it was the entire bare ass as I wore a nude thong to hide any lines in the dresses. I feel violated, and I won't ever come back. read more

Booked appointment for alterations back in August for today at 6p. They sent several confirmation emails & text to which I replied confirming. Today, I get a call at 2p, appointment supposed to be at 6p that they need to reschedule for an hour earlier. They decided to change the store hours and did not notify any customers. They lied and said someone tried to call me but my voicemail wasn't set up. I've had the same number for close to 20 yrs w voicemail set up. I will never step foot in another one of your stores. This was the first and last time I will ever go there. These people are the epitome of incompetence & the manager is the lead incompetent. read more

In February I visited the Tampa location off of Kennedy and had the most amazing experience. I want to say that the experience was so amazing because I found my dream dress, but ultimately it's because I had the most amazing staff helping me find the perfect dress. I had no idea how hectic and emotional things can get, especially when you include all your family and friends. Specifically FAITH, the best stylist and most knowledgeable stylist that has been all over the state of Florida from all different David locations. She was so knowledgeable, kind, enthusiastic, professional, and the list goes on and on!!!! She knew what dress I would pick, almost instantly. She reassured me that a dress that will be on my walls for years should be chosen wisely- not based on how you think you should look, but how you want to feel on one of the biggest days of your life. I can't imagine having to pick out a wedding dress, aside from being very indecisive, without FAITH!!!! HOLY COW! I am only here because this is the location that I had to pick up my maid of honor dress. The selection is fine their employees are not great. There's a lady in alterations I think her name is Heather who is rude. Meanwhile, alterations cost as much as the dress so why are you being so rude and act as if you're giving these alterations for free. I should have gone to my lady to do alterations. **DO NOT LET THEM DO YOUR ALTERATIONS** I had no problems picking out my dress here. It's not as fancy of an experience as some boutiques, but I also did not want to spend a lot on my dress so I was fine with that. I found the perfect dress for a great price and that was great! However, I deeply regret trusting them with my alterations. I paid $300 for basic alterations: hemming the bottom, bringing in the waist and putting in cups for my chest. I had to go back 3 times for them to continue making adjustments because their adjustments were not right and the new seams were sooooo loose, they were coming apart. Most importantly, they made HOLES in the top layer of the fabric all along the seam - yes they attempted to fix it by "filling in" the holes with clear thread, but it looks terrible. I explained it certainly was not ideal for them to have put holes all along the seam and the manager's exact response was "Nobody will notice." So disappointing after spending so much on basic and very common/routine adjustments, and especially on something as important as my wedding dress. read more

Eh! I wasn't really impressed with my experience at this location. We had an appointment to look for bridesmaid dresses and the whole appointment just felt off. We were told to pick dresses but when we were ready to try the dresses on, she only brought three designs. The bride did explain her criteria prior to the sample selections yet only three we were able to actually try on. Then it went from three designs to "well actually you only have one design option that will arrive in time for the wedding". What was the point of trying on the other two dresses??! We left empty-handed, with a disgruntled bride, and very underwhelmed. read more

I would give zero stars if that was an option. I made an appointment and expected at least 1 hr with a sales person. I had to look through the store myself, when the sales girl finally did com e over she just asked me which ones I wanted to try on. No suggestions at to what would look good on my body type etc. When I went in the dressing room, I opened the door to have her zip me up and she was gone, working with other people. Why make us set an appointment if you are not going to spend that hour with the customer? The dresses were too big, but I had to ask for clips to try to make it more form fitting, rather than her automatically doing it. And even then she barely clipped it so all the dresses looked like boxes with no shape. I felt like I was not important and I was a bother. Let the store empty handed and will not return. read more

Went for my dress fitting today. Asked for the manager to discuss a rush fee they were charging me because when I made the appt I made sure to ask the latest date I could book without a late fee. The manager, Jennifer, was rude and aggressive and basically called me a liar in front of my daughter upsetting them and ruining my day. I have had two alterations done here and they did such amazing work on my wedding dress and my daughters bridesmaids dress! Not only that, I realized three weeks after my second alteration appointment that I had left my corset bra there that I had bought from them at my first appointment. This was a week before my wedding! I called them immediately and they put the only one they had in the store on hold for me to come get the next day. Come to find out it is the one I had originally bought! They put that kind of stuff back on the shelf when people leave it behind because they're not sure if it was just borrowed or left I guess. The lady helping me asked the manager if they could just give it to me since I had proof I had paid for one, even though I was more than willing to pay for another one, it was my own fault, and she said I could just have it. SO MEAN. Me and the bride in the dressing room next to me both left. After trying on maybe 8 dresses that I didn't like, the lady rudely shouted "Am I wasting your time??" Whoa! I was gonna cry. I left literally immediately. I went to Arden's Bridal (10/10 found my perfect dress!!!!!!) and RAN INTO THE OTHER BRIDE THERE because her lady was manhandling her and ripped her bra off without consent just to make her fit into a dress better. Post wedding update: During my initial fitting and purchase it was suggested that my alterations wouldn't cost much. They estimated a very reasonable price since I closely fit my dress. A few months later I lost ten pounds due to food allergies. I was charged more than double than expected for alterations. Eek! Then, a few weeks later I lost another inch and needed additional altering for an additional charge. They sewed the corset into the dress and added padding without charging me. Instead of installing the pricy bustle I opted for a wrist loop, which only cost $25. In the end I spent almost as much on alterations as I did the dress. Throughout the process my multiple visits to the store were pleasurable experiences. I thought the alterations crew demonstrated a vast knowledge of wedding gowns and sewing techniques. I always felt confident that I was in good hands. They taught me how to safely get into and out of my dress, and offered helpful advice. I never had to wait to begin my appointments and the staff never rushed me. They worked diligently to perfect my dress. The final fitting made it all worth while. I felt like a goddess! I also bought jewelry while it was buy one get one half off. I know it's cheaper to go to Claire's but they had the perfect set for me. I'm on the fence with their pricing overall. Some items are more than fair while others are overpriced. Sales are great. I highly recommend this DB boutique but advise to shop around and compare prices if you have the time. I can't help but award the staff five stars for outstanding customer service. read more

I found my wedding dress in 30 minutes. Or rather, my mom found it, and she'll never let me forget it. It was only $159 and is absolutely stunning! When I arrived, I was greeted very warmly and told Lisa, my consultant, would be with me shortly. I took the time to peruse the dresses on offer, of which there were many in various styles and price ranges. There was even a small clearance rack by the door. A lot of the dresses were on sale, which was excellent, since I'm on a tight budget. I explained to Lisa that I was looking for something very simple with maybe a point or two of interest so it wouldn't come across as too plain. She grabbed the dresses I asked to try on and indicated where I could find some more that were on sale. In a matter of moments, I had four dresses as well as a corset she suggested I try. The fitting room was an adequate size and no frills. Lisa clipped me into my dress quickly and made me feel like I was being listened to and treated with her full attention. When I tried on the second dress, I already knew it was the one. The tag was $179 and rang up $159 at the register. SCORE! It even matches the shoes I bought completely separately. I couldn't be happier with the fit, quality, color, and style. It doesn't even need any alterations! My mom bullied me into getting a veil, but I drew the line at one that covers my face. It's just an antiquated concept to me. I have to admit the one I got completes the look nicely. It just drapes down the back, attached to my hair with a comb. That sucker was $100 though. I guess I can't complain, since my dress was less than $200! I was absolutely dreading the entire wedding dress shopping experience, but booking an appointment at DB was easy and obviously fruitful! Go in with a budget and a firm idea of what you want, and you too could have the dress of your dreams in 30 minutes. :) read more

Rachael our stylist was great. She even held up some dresses with one of my bridesmaids to show us what bridesmaid dresses would look like next to my wedding dress. She was definitely helpful. Two things I didn't like was that we had a few dresses lined up for my fitting room and another stylist took one of those dresses to let another woman try it on. They definitely should have waited until I was through with it, especially if I had ended up wanting to keep it. Also, I don't know if it was the sale for 20% off or because it was a weekend, but when I came in for my appointment at 3, there was so many other people there for the same time that I didn't have a lot of space at all to come out and get the full effect of my wedding dress. It wasn't until an hour later when people started funneling out, that I was able to walk around and see the train of my dress. On the side I was on, there was 4-5 other people with appointments plus all the people they brought with them. It was too crowded and made for a less than enjoyable experience compared to other David's Bridals I've been too. read more

I'm going to give this location a three because they were able to get my a dress in the time crunch I put on myself. My fiancé and myself were getting married in 19 days and my options were rack samples. I found a dress the same day but o honestly wish I would have waited. Truth be told I wasn't all for a big dress or a typical traditional dress. My consultant was great. She was kind and patient, however, I felt like she didn't take the initiative or lead the appointment. I had to ask numerous times for her to please pull things in my sizes. I didn't have an expectation or a style I wanted so I was a blank canvas of opportunity. My only desire was that I felt beautiful. As the appointment was ending I felt rushed to make a decision. She didn't really compliment the dresses or how I looked in them. That wasn't the greatest because every woman wants to try on a dress and have people hype you up! The alterations....well. The guy who helped me was just not nice. He kept making comments such as," you're lucky they found a dress in your size with short notice," etc. Really sir? Not cool. Upon checkout I also received a goodie bag with coupons and such for other venues. One of the coupons was for a spa service and money off for you and the bridal party. When I got to the spa they informed me the coupon was invalid and would not accept it. I called DB and let them know they might want to remove those coupons and explained the situation and was told," oh we probably don't partner with them anymore," even though the coupon didn't expire for 2 months. Not a very good look. When I do my vow renewal I will NOT be going to another chain for a wedding dress and I will NOT put myself through that again. All in all good selections, decent prices and discounts, and friendly people for the most part. They seemed a little overwhelmed. I am surprised by the rating of the David's Bridal! My experience here was quite pleasant. When my party and I arrived here for our 7:30PM appointment, we immediately received help from some of the staff members. Ladeja was our bridesmaid dress consultant for the night, and she made sure to answer our questions and explain the process of picking out different kinds of dresses. She even managed to get us a whole wall for the dressing rooms, as we had 6 people in our party! One of the only "bad" parts was that sometimes the staff looked a bit annoyed with our large party, although it was late on a Friday night, and they were ready to go home and not be with a rowdy group. Furthermore, I wish there was the option to do a layaway payment with the dresses, as some of the people in my party loved their dresses but were uncomfortable with dropping $150+ all at once for a bridesmaid dress. Otherwise, this was a positive experience! I would recommend David's Bridal for those in search of dresses! read more

The dress has been hanging alone in my closet. I can not believe how horrible it looks. Thank goodness I have 2 weeks before her wedding. Today I took it to the dry cleaners to get the dress pressed/steamed. I did reach out to David's and they told me that the store would/could steam it for an additional charge. I paid over $100 for the dress and it looks like I bought it at a garage sale. Very disappointed. Not my first time here! I've attended my fair share of special occasions including weddings so David's is very familiar to me. On this occasion I was trying on bridesmaids dresses for a wedding. The lady helping me was extremely patient and helped me get in and out of my dresses since I was alone. The ordering process was smooth and everyone I came in contact with was very pleasant. I know a lot of people are doing more boutique shopping nowadays but David's continues to be a solid option with something for everyone. Recently there has been news about bankruptcy but I received an email stating that it wouldn't mean much for sales or shopping. I had a very good experience at David's Bridal in Tampa. Let me start off by saying, I don't love bridesmaid dress shopping. So I went in with the mind-frame of wanting to get in and out. I also went by myself vs. with the bridal party or family. When I got there the parking was filled, people were having to double park and park on the grass. It was nutty. So immediately thought, oh boy how is this going to go. I got in and checked in. Even though I was a bit late for my appointment from trying to find parking, the specialist Aliceson was able to connect with me within a minute or two. She took down the dresses I found online and asked me a few details on the wedding, what I was looking for, the wedding, etc. She showed me to the fitting room and located the dresses I asked for within a few minutes. I fully know it would have taken me forever to locate the 5 dresses I found online. She gave feedback and tried fitting the dress to me with pins to get a better idea. She offered to take pictures for me, which I probably wouldn't have thought of at the time but was a good idea to get the bride's (and my mom's) opinion. I was pretty much out within 45-minutes with a dress in mind and next steps. Overall good experience, past the tricky parking. read more

I went to David's Bridal to help a friend pick out heels and a veil for her big day and I was really disappointed in the store's selection. The David's Bridal we went to had a selection of about 30 pairs of different satin dyeable shoes. While the shoes came in a variety of heel heights and designs the shoes were all made by the same off brand designer. Most of the shoes my friend tried on were incredibly uncomfortable and she wasn't super thrilled by any of the designs. The shoes were much too overpriced for the quality. Most shoes ranged from $60-$90. The veil selection was even more disappointing. There were three designs to pick from as well as a selection of tiaras. Needless to say we walked out empty handed. I'm so glad I didn't waste my time at David's Bridal when I planned my wedding several years ago. read more

A lot of people go to David's Bridal, because they think the dresses are cheap and good enough. It is true that David's Bridal is convenient if all your bridesmaids live in different states, but overall it really is not worth it. I went with one of my bridesmaids looking for ideas for her dress. Hearing horror stories about David's Bridal, we were pretty clear that we were not planning on actually getting a dress but just starting the search. Although we were told that the earliest appointment we could get was 11 a.m. (we were told that's when the store opened), there were a ton of people there when we arrived at 10:45 a.m. Pros: You can try on a ton of different styles/fabrics/colors. Also, since there are David Bridal stores all over the nation, if your bridal party lives in different states they are all still able to try on the same dress/same color. They also have a ton of different sizes, so you can try on actual dresses instead of holding it up on yourself (if it is too big), or clipping it to a swatch of fabric to make it larger (if it is too small). Cons: It is absolutely packed. This is not bad if you don't want any personalized attention other than help picking the dresses then being lead to a dressing room. However, you may have to hunt down your attendant later. Also, the sample dresses are in dismal shape. A lot of the zippers were broken, so my bridesmaid had to just hold up the dress. The nice thing is they are fine with you taking pictures. This really helps you remember later which dresses you were looking at. We did find some really pretty dresses. However, I think we can find better quality for a lower price elsewhere. read more

This place almost ruined my wedding! I got the floor model dress because I needed it quickly, so I paid to have some things fixed like all the snags, a hook and eye that was broken, and a large hole stitched up. I also paid for a bustle, and I paid a rush fee. About a month later, on my way to my wedding destination, I went back to pick up my finished dress, and it looked exactly the same as it did the day I bought it! The hole was still there. All the snags were still there. There was no hook added. They were able to fix these things that day and refund me for PART of the costs, but this resulted in me leaving late for my destination wedding. The next day, we tried to bustle my dress and it was missing the top bustle point. We had to safety pin it! What a nightmare! I should have just gone somewhere more expensive--it would have been worth it for my peace of mind on my wedding day. read more

I went to this David's bridal location for my friends wedding. I was hesitant that we would find something that was under her budget, but there was more than I thought there would be. The lady who took care of us was super sweet and helpful. Her name was Kaylee. We were able to pick out dresses and she would take them to the dressing rooms and she also picked a couple. They had a very big selection of wedding dresses and bridesmaids dresses, as well as mother of the bride and flower girl dresses. My friend ended up finding a dress that she loved here within the hour and a half appointment. She got to ring the bell and take pictures with the "I found the one at David's Bridal." They set your the times for making alterations and stuff and she was able to pay half now and the rest later. They are located in south tampa and there was lots of parking. There was a lot of people with appointments and the area where you try on the dresses can be tight if there are a lot of people. But overall, Kaylee did a lovely job making this experience nice for my friend. read more
