We requested her help a month in advance which was perfect! I also have a blanket I'll take to her to fix once wedding season ends. It seems prom and wedding season are very busy! I just want to take the time to write a review for a business that really has gone above and beyond in my wedding planning process. The Fancy Frock is a boutique that specializes in bridal and formal wear. They carry wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses, and prom/homecoming dresses. They have an in-store seamstress that specializes in alterations. Ever since I met Jennifer at a bridal show in January, she's been nothing but professional and understanding to my needs and wishes. She's never pressured me to make a purchase I did not love and was understanding of my sensitivities. All my e-mails are always responded to within 1-2 days. If I can't make it by the official store closing, she'd stay behind and try to accommodate my schedule. I deeply appreciate that because I understand it's an inconvenience. She carries gorgeous wedding gowns by Moonlight Bridal and Mori Lee. She's in talks to add additional designers to her mix but those two designers really have some gorgeous designs. If her store didn't have a sample dress, she was quick to ask for a loaner from the two companies. As for bridesmaids dresses, she carries Jordan and Bari Jay. I simply love the Bari Jay line and cannot wait for my girls to order their dresses. All of my girls are out of town but Jennifer has dealt with this in the past and will ship the dresses with them after I've inspected the order. I'm a current senior who is looking forward to two things, prom and graduation. I was looking for a prom dress that would stand out. I was stressed because I wanted something different, that complimented me well, and was not expensive. My mom found the fancy frock through Instagram hashtags. We live about 30 miles away and decided to go take a look because she had opened the store on Saturday and Sunday. I absolutely LOVE my prom dress. It is so beautiful. It's like it was sitting there waiting for me. Also partnered with the owner of the store, Jennifer, was Sunny, who does alterations. My dress was a little too big so I went to her for alterations. I went to get alterations done on my wedding dress and was greeted by a very rude and unprofessional woman. She rudely pointed and told me, "Go change," when I arrived, and I asked if she had a petticoat I could wear under my dress for reference with the alterations because I was going to be wearing one on the wedding day and it hadn't arrived yet. She was very crabby and told me she didn't (which wouldn't have been an issue if it weren't for the attitude). She proceeded to grab my dress and look at it, and started making assumptions about what I wanted to do without asking what I wanted. I just needed the dress shortened because it was too long for me, but she started talking about all sorts of other alterations that I didn't want and how she wouldn't be able to do them because my dress was "too thin." In calling it "too thin" she made a face as if my dress being "thin" was disgusting to her, and pointed at some of the shop's dresses and explained how they could hold some material that my dress couldn't. We then inquired about pricing and told her our budget as it stood then (I was more than willing to compromise) but she scoffed at us and told us it would be way higher than that. Needless to say, I left. Also, she was wearing pajama pants. You'd think that at a place like this employees would dress more professionally and treat brides with some respect. She is a seamstress there. The arrogant attitude she displayed was a disaster, and I will not be giving her my business and will advise my bridesmaids to go elsewhere. Words can't describe the gratitude I have for Jennifer. She is a wonderful , warm hearted , caring , genuine individual. From my first phone call with her , I couldn't wait to meet her. Being an out of state bride , everything that could go wrong on my trip home to wedding plan , did. I caught the flu and had to cancel my appointment. She was understanding and wished me well. I was disappointed and worried I wouldn't be able to check out her shop , but was wishful (and thought) that I would find something at the large chain retailer a few days later - WRONG . My first wedding dress shopping was a disaster , and mediocre at best. I believe I tried on 5 dresses in less than 30 mins and was ready to leave. My special day , Seemed like a day I was trying to find a "cute," outfit for a night out , rather than the most important dress I will ever wear on one of the most important days of my life. Fast forward a couple days with a prayer and hoping for a long shot, I showed up at her shop moments after they opened to see if I could just peruse without an appointment. Jennifer was happy to see me , and she fit me right in (lucky me!) I couldn't stop trying on dresses. Dress after dress , I fell in love each one more and more. Jennifer's collection is breathtaking , unique and will look fabulous on you. The only problem you will have is you (typically) only pick one. Jennifer accommodated me in more way than one and brought tears of joy to me and some of my favorite women. Do yourself a favor, and go in to see her. I purchased 3 IVORY flower girls dresses for my wedding at this bridal shop. The owner was really nice and patient while we decided what dress to buy. After the girls tried several dresses on we decided to get a beautiful ivory dress with lace on the top and tulle on the bottom. She never discussed with us in detail the return policy. She only told us that the dresses could not be returned if they did not fit the girls. We understood that, but we never thought the dresses would look a different color. Like I said the dresses we ordered were ivory. She called several weeks later to let us know she received the dresses. I can't complain about that the dresses were received quickly and even before the day she had told us. My sister in law went to get two of the dresses and she noticed they had a yellowish color. When she told the owner she said yes its true they do and to let her know if anything goes wrong (not mentioning we had 7 days to return them if something was wrong with what we ordered). Last weekend I tried my IVORY wedding dress and took a picture with the "ivory" flower girl dresses and there was a big difference. We immediately called the owner of this shop and told her what was going on. She told us to go by the store on Monday to see what we could do. She was really nice and told me she would do all she could to help me solve the issue. She gave me several options like adding more tulle, changing the fabric, and even adding extra lace I ordered for my dress. Of course this would probably include and extra charge for materials and alterations. I asked several times how much would it cost but never got an answer. We agreed that I would go by the store today so I could get other flower girl dresses and compare them to my wedding dress that I bought at another bridal shop (THANK GOD). When I got there she basically told me the dresses could not be returned and she refused to give me the telephone number of the company where she purchased the dresses. And thats when she mentioned the 7 day return policy she had never mentioned before. She asked me if I assumed any responsibility for what had happened and I told her no. She responded that it was my sister in law and my responsibility because we were the ones that decided on the dress. The dresses I got look cheap and the fabric is darker from the one she has at the store. I showed her several pictures comparing both dresses (the one the girls tried on and the ones we actually got). She said pictures are not valid and especially from an Iphone. Long story short Im stuck with "ivory" LIGHT YELLOW flower girl dresses and my wedding is silver and white. I think her customer service and problem solving strategies need some improvement. I am not satisfied at all with my experience in this store and will never recommend it to anyone. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BRIDAL SHOP!! read more
