One push of a button cost $55.00 to reset the motor, and turning a few wheels to adjust the open and close settings was an additional $95.00. Needed someone to install a telephone entry system for the gate to my apartment complex. David was quick to respond to my inquiry, was able to immediately give me a price quote, and was very transparent about what parts I would need for a proper up-to-code install (e.g. transformer, electric striker for the lock, etc.). Upon completing the job, he also advised me on adding a hydraulic arm to prevent damage to the gate. After getting tired of my original gate contractor constantly missing appointments and rarely fixing the problem, when my gate broke down again I decided to call David's Gate. My goodness, what a remarkable upgrade I made. David explained I had the wrong type of motors for my application, wrong hinges and wrong setup that pulled my heavy gates uphill, putting unnecessary strain on the motors, which was causing constant and ongoing problems. David suggested having my gates swing outward, which would give my driveway entrance more clearance as well as put no strain on the motors. David and his dad Vahon re-did everything. New motors, new hinges, new mag mount. Gates swing outward now. It was beautifully and masterfully done. My gates work perfectly now! This father and son team are real pros- they know exactly what they are doing. Reliable, reasonable pricing, honest, punctual, neat, very thorough, and they are extremely nice people too. Although I wrote this glowing review once before, I now see that DAVID DOES NOT STAND BY HIS WORK. He is NOT RESPONSIVE, PROFESSIONAL, OR RESPONSIBLE in his dealing with clients. David installed an electric security gate system for me, but soon after the repair/installation, the gate system stopped functioning in the way I originally hired him to repair it. I tried over several months, to contact him to fix it. I was told that he was out of the country. After almost a year, I noticed that his company was still listed in Yelp so I tried to contact him again. David did respond, saying he'd come out. However, weeks went by with David ignoring my requests. Today, David finally came to look at the gate, but instead of listening to the problem and trying to help solve it, he kept shouting at me that the problem I was describing had nothing to do with him or his work. He continued to raise his voice at me and argued with me throughout our conversation, refusing to take any accountability for his work on the electric gate security system. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DAVID'S GATES to anyone looking for a COMPANY to repair or install an electric security gate system. David is not dependable, reliable, nor does he take accountability for his work. Don't be fooled by the positive reviews. If something goes wrong, he will not honor his guarantee! read more

They come for free estimate show us pictures and samples materials, then gave us some references. The price that David quotes us was fair. The gate come out on time installation was clean. David was responsive and worked around my work schedule to come over to my home on Friday evening to evaluate the issues with my electric gate. It took him a very short period of time to diagnose the problem and he indicated he would obtain a quote on the needed batteries on Saturday to be able to give me a quote to either accept or decline. Should the part facility be be closed on Saturday, he would then obtain the info for the quote and call me on Monday to provide his quote. Sure enough, he called me mid-morning on Monday with a very reasonable quote which I approved and let him know that I would call him to set an install appointment when I got home from work. Upon my return home, I discovered that David had already installed the batteries so my gate worked perfectly, as it had before. When I called David on Monday evening, all I needed to do was arrange to make payment to David's Gate Company.. Very impressive and done even better than expected! read more
