There is always something for me to buy. They have a great selection of clothing, books, furniture…read moreetc. It is a good service to the local people. I must say that the higher prices will drive customers away. It is better to sell three pieces at a lower price than none at all. Donations keep coming in and selling them is the hope of all people. Your group needs money in order to help others. Thank you, volunteers.

I worked here for about 22 years. My mom worked here too, in the offices. I started in the store…read moreand worked my way up to an office and being able to cover 95% of the programs. This was the place I wanted to retire from. My entire heart was here. When I left and others retired or moved on, I noticed lots of changes. Some for the better and some not. I saw the prices start to go up more and more. This wasn't something I was happy about. LISTEN CS stood for "Lebanon In Service to Each Neighbor" when I was there, the crew took that seriously and helped more than they could w everything. As it started to get a younger crew running the show (the higher ups) the prices were something you'd see at a retail store. It's so sad. This is supposed to be a place for lower income families and individuals to come and get great stuff that they can afford. It's not a Macy's or LL Bean. It's a THRIFT STORE. Although the money they make from the stores is supposed to go back to the community, to their programs that help with holidays, back to school, heating, housing, food and more it is no excuse to price gouge. Some of the people pricing the items need to understand the price list better. They're just pricing what they think rather than follow a pricing list. Please, think about this review and help get the prices back down. Using a reasonable pricing list will gain more people. We WANT to shop here and knowing how the money is used, we want to shop even MORE. But we can't do that with the way things are now. I love Listen, what they stand for and the people that truly work there to help the public. Ruthie & Barb are some of the few that have been there since the beginning, when I was going to work with my mom. Ruthie has been there since I can remember. I'm not sure if she still is, but she is someone super special to me and always will be. Barb is too. They saw Listen for what it was and helped make it what it is atleast the best parts of it. Thank you ladies, you are what Listen stands for in the core of it.

Maynard House - THE DIRTY DIRTY PART OF THE BATHROOM, just gross hair & filth!! ENLARGE IT!!

I can NOT begin to tell you how FILTHY THE Maynard House was when my friend and I went there on…read moreJan. 27th. I have pictures. The excuse? They lost their housekeeper??? WHEN, TWO YESRS AGO. To THINK, they knew I was to return there after my surgery and TRUST ME, I could have died from getting an infection from the filth! They knew ahead of time all about my health issues, that I needed a walker and they stuck me and my dear friend in the filthy BASEMENT!!!! I was PROMISED WE WOULD BE ON THE FIRST FLOOR. A BASEMENT IS NOT THE FIRST FLOOR!! I kept jamming my foot on this plastic piece under the leg of the bed. When I asked the manager, Ann? She casually said "oh those are bed bug cups, & she added that's the way of the world!" ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? The heat did not work only partly, and if there had been a fire? I could not of gotten out! I do not believe their very steep stairs are even up to code!!!! AND I CANNOT CLIMB STAIRS!!!! IN front of each bedroom door? They built up wooden blocks so the door might keep a draft out??? IT LOOKED LIKE A THREE YESR OLD TRIED TO BUILD BLOCKS AND DADDY HELPED WITH THE NAILING OF THAT MESS!! YOU COULD NOT KEEP YOUR BELONGINGS SAFE BECAUSE THE DOORS DID NOT LOCK IF YOU LEFT!!!!!I have to continue to heal from my surgery, BUT I AM NOT DONE RINGING THE ALARM. I called the police to ask, were me and my friend in a homeless shelter?? A drug recovery house. We were both afraid to fall asleep. It was simply GROSS! They mislead people. I shall continue on calling and informing not only the correct officials, BUT the public needs to know, just STAY AWAY!! They promised an onsite emergency worker and all you see is a permanent resident roaming around yackkng and yacking to/at the guests. I always pop into this place when I'm down on 12A running errands to see what's on the puzzle…read moreshelves. For what it is, it's a place with great deals for most things and I don't expect concierge service wherever I go to shop because that's uncouth & low rent IMO. People are tired and stressed and I can relate, so if there's some iffy service depending on who's manning the register....whatever (the little old lady who loves to collect fabrics is a delight). The bargains are worth it since LISTEN way overcharges for the same kinds of product.

Visited this store on Saturday and found it to be somewhat clean but very disorganized…read more Shelves with housewares and misc looks like someone just threw them on shelves so can't really look through items for fear off everything falling off shelf. Clothes are so packed tight on racks that when you take one garment off to look at it, a couple more garments come off with it.. Also says sorted by size especially pants but while looking through size 10s, also found sizes 2,4and 6 amongst them. Forgot looking for towels or sheets, there just thrown on shelf. Some were neatly folded but rest of stuff just thrown on. Doesn't seem like they take pride in working there. Also, PLEASE Check your receipts BEFORE leaving store, as I got home and looked at mine and was charged an extra $2.00. I also went one time and got charged for 15 items when I only purchased 12, and I called the store up immediately and explained what happened and that I had the tags to prove it and they told me they would give me a credit next time I shopped there, and I brought the tags with me and they never gave me the credit.
