I must say that the higher prices will drive customers away. It is better to sell three pieces at a lower price than none at all. Donations keep coming in and selling them is the hope of all people. I love the store. But whoever is pricing your records has no idea what they are doing. "Radio…read morebob" or whatever they call themselves has worthless records for absurd prices like $20... Its not a high end records shop in NYC. Not to mention ANYONE who knows ANYTHING about records would know not to put sticker on the album! For what it is, it's a place with great deals for most things and I don't expect concierge service wherever I go to shop because that's uncouth & low rent IMO. People are tired and stressed and I can relate, so if there's some iffy service depending on who's manning the register....whatever (the little old lady who loves to collect fabrics is a delight). The bargains are worth it since LISTEN way overcharges for the same kinds of product.

Visited this store on Saturday and found it to be somewhat clean but very disorganized…read more Shelves with housewares and misc looks like someone just threw them on shelves so can't really look through items for fear off everything falling off shelf. Clothes are so packed tight on racks that when you take one garment off to look at it, a couple more garments come off with it.. Also says sorted by size especially pants but while looking through size 10s, also found sizes 2,4and 6 amongst them. Forgot looking for towels or sheets, there just thrown on shelf. Some were neatly folded but rest of stuff just thrown on. Doesn't seem like they take pride in working there. Also, PLEASE Check your receipts BEFORE leaving store, as I got home and looked at mine and was charged an extra $2.00. I also went one time and got charged for 15 items when I only purchased 12, and I called the store up immediately and explained what happened and that I had the tags to prove it and they told me they would give me a credit next time I shopped there, and I brought the tags with me and they never gave me the credit.

The Vermont…read moreInstitute of Natural Science does praiseworthy work by rescuing aviaries and raptors from the side of highways, etc. These once injured birds are now thriving and the staff working here really care for the inhabitants. It is wonderful to see. It is worth the money to come visit! Kids love it and adults do too. Besides the beautiful rescue stories and gorgeous creatures living here, the nature walk and look out tower is another fun experience! There is a netted trampoline that is many feet up towards the back of the nature walk. It gives kids cool views of down below and is fun to prance on top of! The look out tower walk up is a great work out for the adults and the promising view up top is worth it. The gift store has some lovely treasures as well. I hope we can visit again soon!

We stayed in 1995 when our son was 11 months old. He needed surgery very early in the morning so David's House was suggested to us. We were so grateful to have this place to stay. Everyone was kind, helpful and hospitable. The rooms were spacious and we were able to use the refrigerator for anything we needed. It is wonderful to know a warm and caring place like this exists when you have the need.
