WOW!! I did not realize how badly my Tinnitus was affecting my hearing. I REALLY did not understand the terrible effects it was having on my attitude. The hearing test was very complete. They were very patient with my stupid questions. The new hearing aids are damn near invisible. Never, not once(and I was waiting to hear it) did they say ready to buy? We covered options, we covered best to worse and why. No rush, No pressure. Just an absolutely pleasant and informative experience. I don't have any issues with the hearing aids, but it seems every time something goes wrong, the office is closed for various reasons. My schedule is tight and I end up not wearing my hearing aids for a week at a time because I can't get service. I bought an extended warrantee and should get service. I found it faster to go online and get a maintenance kit and extra parts. read more

Davis Family Hearing - Lobby - Audiologist Near Me - Spring Hill, Florida

I went there with a referral from my doctor. They were thorough and knowledgeable. Everything went fine, I picked the hearing aids I wanted ($7,000.). They told me I could try them out and if I didn't like them I was able to return them. They didn't do what they were supposed to do, so I went in to return them. So, to return them I had to pay $350-. It is in the contract you sign, but they don't mention that when they are explaining everything to me. I trusted thrm to be upfront. I went to another Hearing place and got the same features for $4,000-. When you go there and need to return, before you take them home, ask about the return policy so you don't get caught like I did. I've been a client of Davis Family Hearing, the New Port Richey Office, since moving here a few years ago. At first, it was to get support for my Starkey hearing aids, and then later for a new pair of RESound hearing aids. The team in the New Port Richey office are great, very friendly, and accommodating. We had an issue with my insurance, but they worked hard and got it straightened away. I've gone back a few times to have the setting tweaked for my hearing aids, and they got me in quickly and worked with me to find the perfect settings. i would, and have, recommend Davis to my friends and family. read more

This review is being written by my husband,Rich Troppoli. I just want to say how impressed I am every time I stop into the Spring Hill office for an adjustment or repair. I usually just drop by and are taken in immediately for whatever I need no matter how big or small it is. It's always great seeing Dr. Nemo and her staff when I stop in and she makes me feel so welcome each time. Samantha also is wonderful to us and spent all the time we needed today for a quick repair. What a great choice we made coming to Davis for my hearing aids that I put off for many years. And now being somewhat new residents of Florida I was hesitant on who to go to for my hearing problem. We had a set of hearing aids that were no longer needed by a relative. Knowing these were good quality aids and they are not inexpensive I didn't want to just 'chuck' them. I hoped we could find a good way to 'rehome' them, donate them. I did some online research and that got to be a bit complicated. I was surprised it could be a chore just to make a donation. Geez. I'd heard about Davis Family Hearing in passing. It was always good feedback. So, I made a quick phone call to this location. The girl answering the phone was so cheerful and polite. Her response to my inquiry was an instant and almost exuberant "Yes!" She explained they would gladly accept my donation. They would check them out, clean & refurbish them. Then they would find someone in need of hearing aids who normally could not afford them. THIS was EXACTLY what I'd hoped for! That same day, I was running errands in town so I stopped in to drop off the hearing aids. The girl that received me was the same cheerful girl on the phone. She was so grateful and she expressed just how thankful this company was for my donation! As I left I had the BIGGEST smile on my face! I felt like a million bucks, too! Good deeds go a long way... (Edited review) The individual who is at the desk and answers the phones is in Crystal River is useless. And, I don't say this lightly. This woman was completely apathetic to my emergency situation. After I stressed that without a charger for my particular brand of hearing aids which I purchased from the location, I would have to drive nearly 600 miles home, and I got crickets. I asked that the Dr be told of my situation as she may be able to point me to a fellow audiologist in this area, again, crickets. There is absolutely no excuse at all for someone who is in customer service to treat an established customer with such disregard and disrespect. The following several hours were a string of phone calls to unknown hearing aid dispensers and ENT offices. Fortunately, my health surrogate called the Spring Hill location.(where I shall be going from herein) Immediately upon being told of my situation, the woman who answered (Sorry, she forgot her name) offered the charger for us to purchase as well as get them Fed-Ex'd to me. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. This place has been the best experience I've ever had in my years of having hearing loss. I went in expecting to be like the rest and unhappy when I walked out. The previous experience I've had with other places was feeling like I was inconveniencing them and I felt rushed and like I have a "disability". Yes, I do, but I don't like to be treated like I'm dumb. These people "Joanie" made me feel so welcomed, at home, at ease, and all around happy to be there. I felt I can talk to them, tell them my issues I was having, and didn't feel like I had to hurry up. I loved everything about this place and I already can't wait to go back in 4 months. I made an appointment for my husband because of your presence on our local radio station. He specifically wanted to be seen by Dr. Joanie Davis because he has been disappointed with various types of hearing aids. The appointment was made to see Dr. Davis. Upon his arrival he did not see Dr. Davis but a young HAS. He came home with hearing aids to try. (Note:if he falls in love with them they cost $7000. ). Because of the I'll fitting of these aids they screamed whenever he wore them! He went back and she exchanged the buds for smaller ones but the screaming continued. So back to Costco he went to check into his existing ones. Luckily he met with the very first HAS who has the knowledge and caring to fit his current aids and make his phone app fully integrative. Costcos hearing aids run $1400 for both!!!! I hope this helps someone else not get sucked in by radio or television advertising. read more

3 years ago, Joanie Davis highly recommended Dr. Kyle Allen for my CIs. I was deaf in one ear & had NORMAL low-tones-only residual hearing in my other ear. She promised me much better hearing, clarity in voices, & better hearing at music. Dr. Allen warned me before 1st CI that I could lose my hearing & music, but I had nothing to lose in my deaf ear. 1st CI greatly complimented my good, normal low-tones-only residual hearing in other ear & I had the best 6 months of hearing enjoyment for 6 months before 2nd CI with word clarity scores improving up to 60%. However, I did not receive same warning nor did Joanie follow up with surgeon to protect this good, normal low-tones-only residual hearing in other ear. Too much emphasis was on "bilateral Cochlear Implant (CI) Hearing is better" & my MRI tests were only good for 6 months. After 2nd CI, I am now deaf in that "good" ear, can no longer hear music, can't hear my grandchildren, & ALL sounds are horribly distorted - permanently. Joanie even said in her commercials with local radio stations said that "every Cochlear Implant is a miracle." Not true. I had vertigo for a year, spent much time to relearn to hear up to word clarity of only 23% & I can no longer lipread like I used to. I lost a huge part of my quality of life permanently because of Joanie, her salesmanship/marketing & pushing for bilateral CIs. Buyers beware. read more

I have been looking for a really good audiologist/hearing aid place since I moved to Florida and recently made an appointment at the Spring Hill office. I LOVE this place. Dr. Arielle Shashaty is wonderful! She is patient, knowledgeable, and extremely thorough. My hearing loss is a birth defect so I have been dealing with hearing aid places and audiologists all my life (since 1970) and this is one of the best I have ever been to. The level of care and attention is excellent. I am so glad I found this place and will definitely be a long term customer. read more

These people are absolutely fantastic! If you are considering getting hearing aids, I highly recommend going here. All the staff displays love & concern for their patients. We took my mom someplace else in Brooksville the first time she got hearing aids. After the passing of the owner/audiologist, we needed to go someplace else. Dr. Michelle Frenton is a wonderful Audiologist. She is patient and explained the hearing test for us. My husband went to another Audiologist for over 5 years back home in Chicago. On our 1st visit, Dr. Frenton was able to vastly improve his hearing by adjusting his current hearing aids. We now only see Dr. Frenton for our hearing needs. read more

Our first time here and WOW!!!! Honest down to earth, great staff and did I say HONEST! Amagine that the $2500 hearing aid that The big box store said wasent any good any more for me as they stuck a new $3000 on in my ear has nothing wrong with it and guess what it's not obsolete like I was told even though it was only 2 years old . The hearing test was done in a booth not a chair. The staff genuinely show that they cared about us and our problems not once mentioned new hearing aids. The big box store that's all they could talk about. The big box store ad said $750 for my hearing aid in the paper I was informed that that would not work for me. Now for the small sum of $150 they are going to clean adjust and reprogram my current hearing aid. I am so happy that we found an honest audiologist. Remember when you see whole page ads in newspapers with all these promises something has to pay for that and that is you. Again great place , great people. HONEST! read more
