First person who I had the pleasure meeting was Anthony. We had a leak in the sprinkler in our master bedroom. We scheduled a time for him to come out and he was on time and was very professional. He was not pushy or overbearing. Just polite and courteous. He looked at the leaky sprinkler and due to the age of the sprinkler system, they had to be changed. An expense that was unforeseen and unwanted but because this is our home sweet home, we had the work done. The work was done less than the hours that was told to me. Their team was very clean and respectful of our home. They wore booties when requested without any issues. They cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave one bit of trash. The tech that came out, "Diego P." was friendly and very professional; explained step by step what he was going to do and what he found. I heard Davis fire protection to come in certified my Sand piping for a five year the price they quote and then added 300 on top of it after they were done then said the sound pipe needed work done to it because it's not passing their inspection.. and was gonna charge me another 8000 to do the repairs So I got to thinking because I just had a bunch of stuff done on it and replaced and re-greased and everything from the last certification in 2019 so I ended up calling past company back up and asking them if they can please do a five year certification they said yes they came out did their full certification and the sand pipe passed. It's test So as I can figure I just saved myself about $8000 from Davis fire protection trying to rip me off for something that my Sand piping already is able to pass PS don't use Davis fire protection unless you want to be ripped off or lied to and then leaving a mess Still waiting for my refund bbb read more

Our fire sprinklers were very old (1997) and looked like they were leaking. I tried calling other companies but never got a response. Davis Fire Protection answered my call right away and scheduled a crew to check out our sprinklers asap. They let us know that the ones in our house were actually recalled in 2001. They also came back several times to repair part of our system that had been damaged by the previous installer. The price seemed fair and I'm glad we got them fixed! Didn't have a great experience with Davis Fire Protection. I called over a leak that required same day repair and I chose this company because of the "24hr Emergency Calls" service. My first call was sometime before 10 am, they said someone will go over in about an hour but did not hear from them for about 3 hours. Every time I called to get an eta I was told that the delay was due to traffic. At this point I kept calling every 1.5 hours and got the same response. At 6 pm decided to cancel and contact other companies because no one ever showed up. Two other companies were able to assist within the hour. Being in the San Diego area, it is impossible to take 7-8 hours due to traffic, not even LA's traffic is that bad. After all, I ended up paying half of the price with the other company that provided better service . read more

Exceptional responsiveness from technicians, not salespeople, when I needed help on an emergency inspection during Thanksgiving week. They worked around my constantly changing schedule, Chad was amazingly understanding. And then the technicians that did the work, Chris and Rob, were outstanding. Despite some issues with the system, they didn't give up, they recognized how time-sensitive this issue was, and they spent extra time and brought in some creative solutions to get some gauges removed and replaced. And they were super delicate with the built-up air pockets in the system (left from the installers) to ensure that no damage when we returned to full pressure. Davis Fire Protection. 0 star review. The worse company I have ever used. They did their best to hike the bill as high as possible. Wanted me to replace all the sprinkler valves (done 6 years prior). Replace the pressure gage done (6 years prior) lied to me and said that the sprinklers where charged and they were not. Wanted me to replace both the shut off valves which were (replaced 6 years ago), insisted that the fire sprinklers needed to be mintored (West Hollywood Fire Department said that was also not required. Would not give me the report showing that the system passed till a agreed to there over inflated bill. All in all they wanteed thousands of dollars. Called two other sprinkler inspection companies and the result was simply $850.00 to do the tests and send me the pass report, NOT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. Do your homework dont use this company! read more

I am a home owner with a built in fire sprinkler system. I have had my fair share of trouble with the system. I had a leak from a sprinkler head in my rental property, after doing a Google Search Davis Fire Protection came up and I decided to call. I needed the issue resolved quickly and at first everything seemed fine, they had an open appointment for next day. The office manager Nichol Serrato stated that they would only complete the work if I changed all sprinkler heads. According to her if one bursted it could soon happen to the rest, although I was not ready to make such investment I decided to agree. She asked that I send a count of how many sprinkler heads were in the home, since I live out of state I asked a contractor to get a count for me. He counted 21, when the Davis team got to the property apparently they found 29, this is where things went from bad to worse! Instead of calling me before they started changing out fire sprinklers, they thought it would be to THEIR benefit to change the 21 sprinklers. They switched out the missing 8 sprinklers that were in the garage and stopped short from completing the remaining from inside the house until "I gave them the ok". These thieves literally held me hostage and practically forced me to pay an additional 2500 to complete the job. My concern was to replace sprinklers inside the house not the garage. But they knew what they were doing and someone that really cared about their customer would call first or at least complete the ones inside the home, to avoid any water damage. But to add insult to injury when they were ready to charge for the work that I was forced to agree to, they come out with "oh by the way we charge an additional 3% to cover our credit card fee" I mean are you kidding me??? At what point do you think its good business to hold this type of information from your customer. A job that would have costed 5000 now costed 8000. They took advantage that I was far and needed this resolved quickly, they saw desperation and decided to rip me off. DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THESE CROOKS, worst thing my insurance company could not even cover any portion of this cost. Worst experience ever. read more

Called Davis Fire Protection on Saturday - Memorial Day weekend. They were the last company, among 15 others, we called on that Saturday. Chad was the only one who called back. Other companies either did not work on Saturdays or were charging prohibitive fees to come and check/fix our fire sprinkler leak. He was very informative, professional, and straightforward. Both my husband and I were impressed with his willingness to help us on that Saturday when everybody else declined their services. Chad was fair in his price and did not try to take advantage of our vulnerable situation - having a nasty leak on a weekend. He sent Glenn on time to perform the job. Glenn was able to think outside the box to come up with a solution for the problem. The pipe was fixed and no leaks. Our property manager requested all of the building units have their fire sprinklers replaced, so Davis Fire Protection was called upon to do the job. I cannot believe how incredible was the service! Absolutely excellent & exemplary! The service guy who came out to work on our unit/dwelling (Joseph Mahon) worked very carefully, efficiently, and diligently. He was also very personable and courteous. When I asked him to wear plastic bags over his shoes so as to prevent his wet, work boots from staining the carpet, he happily complied. To add further to Joe's credit, he has a high level of integrity. When he had seemingly completed replacing all the sprinkler heads in our unit and had already packed up to leave, he noticed that he had missed a single fire sprinkler that still needed replacing. Since he was on a tight deadline to get the rest of the units's sprinklers replaced that day, he vowed to return another day to replace that remaining sprinkler in our unit. As a man of his word, he actually returned in two days (a Sunday, for that matter) to replace the sprinkler head on his day off. This shows the character of the man and the amazing reputation he upholds for the company he works for.
