I have been coming to Dr Hanley for the last couple of years, and am beyond pleased. the entire staff is professional, intelligent, and will see to it that you get the highest quality care there is. Dr Hanley has taken me off of 5 unnecessary medications, always looks for a natural route first, and always takes plenty of time with you. There is a reason you have to wait. They will all take the amount of time with you that is necessary! When it's your turn, you'll get that same generous amount of time. That's why people love this practice. Not once has Dr Hanley looked down at a computer screen while speaking to me. He looks at me directly while I speak. My last 2 doctor's eyes never left their screen. They have changed my primary care doctor multiple times because, apparently, my previous doctors were suddenly no longer in-network. I understand that insurance networks change, but what happened this time was completely unacceptable: I was dropped as a patient without being notified. I had prescriptions that were originally provided through their office, and now that one of them has expired, I'm unable to get my birth control refilled because I no longer have a PCP there. I was told I would have to pay $300-$500 out of pocket just to get a prescription refill elsewhere. When I asked why patients aren't notified when the practice stops accepting their insurance, the response I received from the person on the phone was simply, "I don't know what to tell you." That is not an acceptable way to treat patients. If you are going to stop accepting someone's insurance and remove them from your practice, patients should be properly notified and given enough time to establish care with another provider, especially when they have ongoing prescriptions. I am now left without a PCP and scrambling to get a medication refilled on time because of a change I was never informed about. Very disappointing experience with Lee Health.

He personally calls you on the phone if labs or tests come back with something he needs to discuss immediately instead of having a nurse call you to setup up another appointment. (I'm a non-smoker) I called in and spoke to Mikayla, (sp?), She asked questions and send she would let Brian know. She then called me back no less than (3) times and let me know what was happening. Her nurse Lorenna is so kind, gentle, and understanding. She has given me shots that I never feel going in my arm. No kiddiing. I once forgot an order at an X-ray facility and Dr. Vo's office had the order faxed to them in less than 1 minute. Even the X-ray technicians were amazed. They have a great phlebotomist on staff who is very gentle and efficient. The office staff all treat the patients as personal friends and they remember you and your preferences. I was left at the door by the medical assistant who ignored my request for help, which left me feeling dizzy and vulnerable due to my health conditions. She was very rude turning her back on me when I was speaking and then walking away. I was left at the door not knowing what to do. The doctor wrongly accused me of rudeness without seeking my side of the story, instead choosing to berate me for something I did not do. I was not rude to anyone. Despite my attempts to communicate my needs, the medical staff showed no concern for my well-being, treating me as less important than themselves. The doctor ridiculed and belittled me in a fit of anger unable to control himself. I was unable to discuss some of the heart issues concerning me. This experience has led to a profound fear of healthcare, as the doctor's angry outburst and unfounded accusations caused me psychological harm. When going for care I never anticipated to be an mistreated. I feel betrayed by a system I once respected. In my opinion the doctor violated his duty to care for an elderly disabled person like me.
