Dean came out and cut down a couple of larger trees as well as trimmed up several others. He was very professional, on time and did an amazing job! The 2 trees he cut down were close to the house and 1 was in a tight spot but it was no problem for Dean. His prices were also very reasonable. Our experience with the Dawkins has been exceptional. I've been highly recommending them to friends and family since the first time we hired them in early 2017. Upon meeting Trent, we quickly began to see why his company was recommended to us. Trent, as well as his brother, Dean, are two of the most genuine and honest contractors we've had the pleasure of working with. Because of our very positive experience with them, we decided to hire them for several additional jobs. Trent and Dean 1) brought down several damaged (and VERY large) fir trees that were endangering my home; 2) "limbed" off several large branches that were giving us increasing concern; 3) removed dozens of dead limbs high up within several of our tallest fir trees ("dead limbing") they call it; 4) "chipped" many of our downed limbs, and 5) "stump grinding" of a stump (and roots) that was at least 3 feet in diameter. Without question, my entire family has been very pleased with the work Trent and Dean performed. In particular, the PRECISION of Trent bringing down some very large trees was a spectacular sight to see. What amazed us beyond anything else, was watching Trent drop branches and trees in extremely tight locations on all sides of my home. We called around for estimates the only ones to show up where the Dawkin Brothers. We had multiple big trees to cut down a few were leaning towards my home, these guys came out and had them cut down in no time at all. They left the grounds clean with no damage to the property. The Dawkin brothers and their crew are professional, respectful and easy to deal with. Their expertise in tree cutting is excellent and they are amazing to watch work. We just had Trent and his crew come out and remove 30+ trees on our property. They had tight quarters to bring down most of the trees due to property lines and buildings. Trent and his team were very professional and performed quality work. They were great about cleaning up after themselves also. I would highly recommend them. I called Dawkins Boys Tree Experts to have them remove a tree. We looked them up through L&I and found their business license was suspended and had no insurance. I was told by Dawkins Boys that they have 2 million in insurance policy. Due to my location and their willingness to travel to my location I still was going to have them come out. I confirmed the day before and now this morning they no showed claiming a road closure. Beware they likely are not insured as they claim and do not have a valid license and are not reliable. Lesson learned. read more

Poor experience. They were asked about why their license showed suspended with the WA Dept. of Labor and Industries, gave a lame answer, found they have canceled their insurance and have had no L&I account for over 6 years. Were giving them a chance with a hold harmless agreement, had them set to cut a troublesome tree on our Packwood property on 3/17/2017. They said they left @ 7:30 AM from Tenino, we left from Roy at the same time. At 10:30 AM they are a no show, we called 4 times before they finally pick up and say they are four hours away on the wrong road. They had directions, very simple directions that a teenager could even follow and a phone number in case there was a problem. We questioned about the delay and got hung up on after telling them it was an un-acceptable excuse for not wanting to do the job. This was an $800 job for 1 tree. These guys don't want the work, because they don't meet the requirements of the state for their contractors license. Don't hire them, they put on a good face, but are flakey as a biscuit and not licensed. read more

Quality affordability or speed, you usually have to pick two, but I just got all three. Integrity, honesty and experience are hard to find these days at a great value. These boys are the real deal the kind of people you keep telling your neighbors and friends about. Trent and Dean are hard-working, yet respectful and polite and were somehow able to get my trees down within a week of their quote. There is no doubt my mind the next time I need some work done I will be calling Trent. read more
