I see why this place has a low rating. I called the office because this office was referred to me by my insurance provider and I was interested in being seen. I called the front desk, and the lady receptionist is extremely rude. She runs off anyone that is even interested in making an appointment. Highly don't recommend. read more

I feel like I dodged a bullet! I was told today by Dr. Cohen's office staff that I could not reschedule my new patient appt. because I rescheduled one in 2017...? I then did the smart thing and came to Yelp and read reviews. (Should have done that first and NOT WASTED my time). Not only did the presentation of the information come across a punitive but the whole reasoning. It appears to not be a place of compassion or empathy. The true nature of the staff, policies and the practice were made apparent. My work hours changed and they were completely inflexible. The hours are extremely limiting and the staff punitively unpredictable and apparently the office holds grudges for years. 2017? Really? Thanks for saving me the headache of even walking into this establishment by denying me service. read more

Dr. Cohen is an excellent physician. She really listens! Doesn't rush her exam or the patient. Sadly, her front office is 100% inefficient. They will NOT squeeze in a patient who is sick by rescheduling a well patient visit. Makes no sense to me. I nearly died last year because of their indifference. So I fired her and found someone else. If you can't rely on your doctor to see you when you are actually ill, what's the point of continuing the relationship? I was seriously ill, but not at the emergency stage, when I called for an appt. They couldn't fit me in for three weeks! They suggested I see the P.A. I felt I needed the M.D.'s expertise. Worst doctor I have ever encountered. Not interested in providing healthcare only collecting insurance money. Horrible in every way.

When I set my appointment, the receptionist took my ins information and "forgot" to write down my carrier, which resulted in a less than pleasant phone message the day of, threatening to cancel my appointment if I didn't return their call within the next two hours. After straightening out my insurance issue, I clarified AGAIN that I would not arrive the required 30 minutes early for my first appointment, as my work schedule does not allow for me to do so. The receptionist noted that I wouldn't be early and would arrive ASAP. However, when I arrived, I was turned away for being five minutes late. read more

When I first starting seeing Dr. Cohen, a couple years ago, I thought she was "the one." THE doctor I've been looking for. She was patient, thorough, and listened to what I had to say. But lately, it seems those things have tapered off a bit. I can only theorize that it is because she has such an increased patient load. My appointment times have now become just a few minutes. She just sort of flips through my file, and then sends me on my way. On the other hand, her busy schedule has meant that now I can often only see her PA, Sally. In her, I found again all the qualities that I liked in Dr. Cohen -- patience, thoroughness, and time. read more

After a retirement, I had to find a new family physician....Dr. Cohen was recommended, and I feel so fortunate to have found her and Healthy Outlook. Everyone from the front office to the medical assistants were just terrific. They were kind and caring. Dr. Cohen was wonderful. Besides being very knowledgeable, she was patient and listened to all my concerns. She took time to answer all of my questions. She also made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Let me start with the positives...the phlebotomist was excellent. The office is pretty. Thats about all I can say. I went to Dr Cohen to establish care she didnt listen to a word I said... I asked about weightloss and she went on and on about not giving diet pills when I never asked for them but then went on to tell me how overweight I was offered no medical solution but bariatric surgery. Really? as a first option... Im not even 200lbs bit judgemental? Instead she wanted to talk about the other services the office provides. I asked about abdominal pain...no ultrasound Ct or even GI consult ordered..turns out i have gall stones.. lost 20 lbs since my new primary has me on a specified diet and i check in with her monthly no pills! Said my sugar was upper limits of normal yet no follow up... Not impressed. read more

Seemed great at first, but I will no longer be going back, customer service isn't good, I get attitude anytime I call, and simple request take forever to get a response on, or they never received them. And it took 6 months of me constantly calling to resolve a bill issue they had with the lab. They never told me they did a different test and all this other stuff. I'm getting my records and never returning. read more

Dr. Cohen is great. I generally only see her once per year for my physical but she spends a lot of time with me and has really helped me reach goals like quitting smoking and becoming physically fit. She takes the time to listen and she's very easy to talk to. read more

Annual blood testing is the most important step aging adults can take to prevent life-threatening disease. With blood test results in hand, you can catch critical changes in your body before they manifest as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, or worse. Having the proper blood tests can empower you to enact a science-based disease-prevention program that could add decades of healthy life. Sadly, most annual medical check-ups involve the physician ordering only routine blood tests. Far too often, this blood work does not even test for important markers of disease risk. The consequences of failing to analyze blood for proven markers of disease risk are needless disability and death. I asked Dr. Cohen to conduct a few of these tests. Her response, "Half of them I haven't even heard of. The other half costs the insurance companies too much and I don't feel they are necessary". A doctor putting the insurance companies costs as a priority over the patients health is not worthy of being my physician. Shameful read more

Where do I start I feel very disappointed in this place and Dr Cohen, in my opinion she does not listen to what is going on and when I tried to do some follow up I felt I was dismissed by he,r with that medicine makes everyone sick so basically get over it because she was unwilling to change it. I looked it up and there are MANY other medicines she could of prescribed. Take my advice look for some where else when choosing a clinic. read more

I have never seen a Dr like this. we had a disagreement and the next thing I know she quits seeing me and quits prescribing my insulin, test strips, thyroid and blood pressure medicine. By the time I found a new Dr for my drugs my blood sugars were out of control. read more

My wife told me this office was great and the practitioners were professional and to my disappointment failed me. I was having issues driving and dizzieness so I went in and was asked symptoms and I told them I would get dizzy driving and had headaches. I was observed by a new nurse practitioner who listened to my breathing the pulse check. I was told that if I started getting dizzy to just pull over until I felt better. I asked if I could get tests done as I was told it would be a month before I could do an annual and called and asked since my symptoms were getting worse if I could bump up and was told no. I explained I did not want to drive my kids and risk their lives but nothing. I was never so dissapointed in my life that this is what medical staff has become. I will be going to emergency room to get the tests I need performed to get results I need. read more

great doctor!!! spent lots of time with me and seemed genuinely interested in my concerns.

Dr. Cohen was referred to us by our cardiologist, whom we highly respect. We did not have a family doctor, were looking forward to having a first appointment with Dr. Cohen. Unfortunately, the appointment was the worst experience we have ever encountered. When we made the appointment, we explained to the front desk that we wanted to meet the doctor, get acquainted and see if we wanted to set up practice; that we did have a medical issue we wanted to discuss. My husband had been experiencing periodic short-term memory loss, and was the patient . The appointment was for 1:00, he went in at 1:37, and was to have me come in after he had a chance to briefly talk to the doctor. Shortly after 2:00, my husband came out and appeared to be distressed and somewhat overwhelmed. He said I am not going back. During the appointment, he asked for me to come in and was told that we don't do that, and they proceeded to do a blood draw. My husband said it appeared that Dr. Cohen was not interested in anything he told her about his history and that she appeared to have her own agenda. My husband was not able to remember what test they did or to provide details of history. That is why he wanted me to be with him. I was very upset and said that I wanted to meet the doctor. The office said if I wanted to meet the doctor, I would have to set up an appointment for myself. Trish, one of the staff, said I should have decided prior to my husband's appointment, who should go in and how much time should be spent on each of us individually. She refused to let me stay to meet the doctor, said they had a busy schedule--not even considering that I had been there now close to two hours of my time. The Blood draw they took, was now a repeat of one taken 4 weeks ago, that was normal. This is, in fact the worst office environment I have ever been in. For a one and only positive comment, the receptionist, at the front window, was absolutely compassionate, and sweetly understanding--the only light through the tunnel. We would never recommend this office to anyone. I could continue to provide even more detail related to this event, however, this review is long enough and I'm sure anyone reading this, will understand my message. read more
