Daughter sent her mother flowers for Mother's Day. The flowers were delivered as expected and were beautiful except for the hydrangeas were browning up already. Wife called the shop to see if they had any suggestions on how to perk them up. They said that they would send out some new ones the next day. The next day they sent an entirely new arrangement. What a surprise! Has to be difficult keeping flowers fresh especially when out delivering in mass for a day like Mother's Day. I ordered a Valentine's Day gift early in the morning and paid extra for delivery. After taking my money and confirming the order, they contacted me later in the day to say the delivery was "too far" and canceled it. They refunded me, but they didn't care at all about the inconvenience or the fact that this ruined a time‑sensitive, special occasion. This was unprofessional and completely avoidable. If they couldn't deliver to my area, they should have said so before accepting the order and payment. I won't be using them again, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else waste their time or money either. read more

I found this flower amongst the weeds! I was invited to a friend's birthday dinner and decided to get her flowers as part of her gift. Then, thinking about how she would manage a bouquet at a restaurant, I decided to get an arrangement for the table. Great idea! The one florist my in-laws used has closed, I spent time driving to their location to find an empty storefront. Very frustrating! So now I was stuck. Off to Yelp to search! The problem I discovered quickly is, there aren't a lot of options available in Lake Wales on a Saturday morning. And I needed them that day. One Winter Haven florist had a nice review, but not open on Saturdays. Hmm. Another instance of "men buy tires" marketing (ask me, I will explain the reference). Then, I saw Dawn's Flower Patch. Nearby, so I drove over. Parked in the lot, and as I exited the car, the owner's husband (John) flipped the sign from "Closed" to "Open" - my lucky day! I went inside and was promptly greeted by John, Dawn, and was pleased to see them processing orders and making floral presentations! "Good, they actually know what they're doing!" I said to myself. I explained my predicament and Dawn asked about my friend, what she liked, and I explained that Kiki lights up a room when she enters, she's a huge personality and bright and bubbly. Dawn asked my price range, and knew what to do and very quickly (and I mean really, really fast) she put together the amazing arrangement that fit perfectly. And boy was it aromatic! Plus they cut a box that allowed me to transport the flowers all the way to Ybor City for dinner that night. I rode in the car for over an hour and it was a delight of the senses. When I walked through the Columbia Restaurant with them, it seemed that everyone was looking at these flowers. They were incredible. Even the hostess team commented on their fragrance! Doubtless, they were the hit of the table, and other tables round us commented on them as well. Even after dinner, I carried them to Kiki's car and as I walked down the sidewalk, people following me were saying how wonderful they smelled! Obviously I will be using Dawn's Flower Patch for all my floral needs. Highly recommend them! read more

Also had to call back to tell them who the flowers were from as they didn't take that information and assumed it was from me alone. Not too happy with this experience. I placed an online order for an arrangement to be delivered to my sister in the hospital. The day of delivery I had to contact Dawn's to delay, because she was having a procedure at another hospital, and we were unsure if she would be in the same room when she returned to Lake Wales. Dawn's was very accommodating and held off on delivery until the next day. The day for delivery I had to contact again, because my sister was unexpectedly being discharged early, and I would need to redirect delivery to her home. Again, Dawn's was very accommodating and had no problem changing the delivery location. I even offered to pay an additional delivery charge due to all the changes, but they said there was no need. As you can see from the photo they did a fantastic job on the arrangement and I am very pleased with the service. Would definitely recommend Dawn's Flower Patch!! read more

I live in TN and my mother lives in FL. I needed to find a local florist for when there was a special occasion. The first time I ordered tulips, they did not open well, but Dawn immediately fixed the situation and sent a fresh bouquet. Last week, I ordered flowers for what would have been my parents' 50th anniversary. My dad passed away 2 years ago, so this was a sad day for my Mom. The flowers exceeded all expectations.
