I have a couple of chronic health conditions that require special attention and referrals to…read morespecialists so I need a doctor who is on the ball, compassionate, intelligent and a good communicator. That describes Dr Dunn. He does what an internist should do - spends time with you, discusses your condition and gives good recommendations. He sends a detailed follow-up letter after every annual check-up and his office staff is pleasant and very competent. I highly recommend him. One drawback: He is the only doctor I see who does not take insurance, so the treatment is expensive. Reimbursement from insurance is a fraction of the cost. I think he and his partners are able to run the office so well and give patients the time and attention they deserve because they don't have to deal with the paperwork and the red tape, so they can focus on patient care.

Finding a primary care doctor who…read moretruly listens, takes the time to understand your concerns, and genuinely cares about getting to the root of your health issues is not always easy, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found him. Dr. Akrami has helped me get my health issues under control in a way that has made such a positive difference in my life. He never makes me feel rushed or like I'm just another patient. He listens to my concerns, explains things in a way I can understand, and works with me to come up with a plan that I feel comfortable with. I appreciate that he looks at my overall health rather than simply treating one issue at a time. What stands out most to me is how much I trust him. I know that when I bring a concern to him, he is going to take it seriously and do everything he can to help me. His knowledge, compassion, and dedication to his patients truly show in the care he provides. I am extremely grateful for everything Dr. Akrami has done for me and for the progress I have made under his care. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate primary care physician who genuinely cares about his patients, I highly recommend Dr. Akrami and Woodbridge Internal Medicine. Five stars simply aren't enough!

This review is for Autistic people by Autistic people…read more Dr. Brian C. Carty staff has discriminated against me. I am Class 3 ASD person. I require alternative communication (CART and non verbal). Telegraph Family Corner Medicine changed telemedicine appointment time twice which is incredibly destructive thing to do to an Autistic person. I cannot cope with changes in routine. Dr. Brian Carty staff was supposed to send me link to accessible telemedicine conference. Time of appointment came and went - and no link. I later discovered that Dr. Brian Carty CALLED me on my cell phone and left multiple voicemails. If I could communicate via telephone, I would not be requesting alternative communication, would I? I gave my email address to Telegraph Family Corner Medicine before so they should have had it. Telegraph Family Corner Medicine do not even have contact email on their website. Their website is 100% inaccessible to users of alternative communication. I cannot express how much I am hurt by this discrimination. I have coronavirus and am suffocating from it. All I needed was medication. Autistic people stay away from Telegraph Family Corner Medicine.

Not only does Dr. Niak see you, but he also takes the time to really talk to you. I went in for a physical and he spent 45 minutes with me! There was nothing wrong with me; he was just chatting. I am pleased to see this kind of relationship has not fallen by the wayside. The only thing that disgruntled me about Dr. Niak was his slow turnaround time on lab results. I am sure he has had lab results sitting in his office, but he doesn't call back until a month later. Sometimes, I have to call him myself and bug him to give me the results. Of course, his practice is small (only three doctors working there, so they are on call every third night), but he could improve that. Also, I sent him a form once to fill out that I needed for school and he never sent it back to me. Overall though, great guy, just busy.

Then something changed. I think Dr Lewis sold the practice and they definitely got new front desk people. The new front desk is far less responsive to phone calls. They are not even in the same building as the nurses and doctors, so getting messages from the front office to the nurses and doctors is now very inefficient. Medications, like an albuteral inhaler and diazapam, meds that can be dangerous if stopped abruptly, are now a cause of anxiety because I never know of they will take a day or a week to write a refill. I will keep seeing Dr Lewis, but now I know that when I'm out of refills I need to make a visit to see him if I want refills in a timely manner.
