History
Established in 2013.
Day & Age was founded by Jon Day. The vision of the company was to combine Jon's passions for Design, Custom Fabrication, Art, and Museum Quality Restoration all under one roof. Jon began the business out of his barn in Ledyard- since then Day & Age has been awarded contracts with the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Connecticut College, Mystic Seaport, and the Custom House Museum in New London, CT.
Meet the Business Owner: Jon D.
Jon attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn New York focusing on Sculpture and Industrial Design. He spent many years as a sculpture fabricator and an art installer in New York City.
Jon moved to Connecticut and worked for several restoration and woodworking companies. He then dedicated four years on the restoration of the Charles W. Morgan in the Preservation Shipyard at Mystic Seaport. This was a life changing experience for Jon and inspired him to start Day & Age, LLC. A company that seeks to provide a one stop shop for custom designed, built, and restored heirloom quality custom projects.
Jon is continuing to grow a creative team of craftsmen in the region.
