Dr. Abreu explains things to us in detail, she patiently listens to our concerns and questions, she makes you feel like family. She never rushes us during our appointments and is willing to look at photos we've taken of our baby for concerns or listen to any behavioral activity we weren't sure of. You are not to violate patient privacy and 4. You as a doctor will never tell me I'm wrong for not wanting you to violate my privacy and when I say no you will take that as an answer and not spin the situation into making it look like that is wrong. When the doctor came in and I explained what the visit was for, she noticed they had me listed as self-pay -- even though I had uploaded my insurance card and provided all the insurance info. Turns out, they were trying to charge me as self-pay because they said they don't take my insurance, even though the provider is listed on my insurance card, in the insurance portal, and in the insurance directory. After about 30 minutes, someone named Eli came to tell me again that they don't accept it, and that both the office manager and billing manager were out. I was told the billing manager would call me when she returns (still waiting). Overall, I wasted over an hour for no reason -- this could've easily been avoided if they'd verified my insurance properly at check-in.
