I needed a specific part that only Grady White could supply. An OEM mounting bracket for a new trolling motor install on my 191 Coastal Explorer. I delayed and procrastinated partly due to my travels and partly due to me wanting the best possible solution for mounting a trolling motor on my boat. Brady was patient and communicated with me every time I reach out whether it was email or phone call. He was always there and patient with me. Oh, and he even worked with me on the MSRP of the part offering a best price discount. I know there are a lot of choices out there for parts and I will recommend this dealer. Marina Manager's communication is lacking and unprofessional. They jack up your rates without…read morenotice; continue to make rules so that they can gouge you for more money. The most recent is you cannot use outside contractors for maintenance on your boat. We left the marina before that one was implemented and regret not having done so much sooner. They know slip availability is hard to find since last year's hurricane and are taking full advantage of customers. Nancy is their only asset.

The dock crew is extremely professional at all times and Jason clearly manages the dock activities very well. I've seen several Credit Card Captains come rolling in there and treat them like slave labor and they have continually stayed professional. The parts department (Rachael), service coordinator (Mandy), and Office Manager (Billi Jo) always stand out as customer friendly. I have 110% confidence in Greg if I need electronics installed or repaired. I was concerned about service labor rates when Legendary took over. However, the service dept seems very conscientious about how many hours are charged and my service cost has remained relatively the same since I've been there.

One gentleman was nice enough to drive me around looking for an outboard motor when I needed a ride, and the management helped work out a fair compromised rate when we realized we had to stay for longer than we planned as we did necessary work on the motor. Speaking of doing work on the boat, there are a number of very useful professional metal fabricators, a canvas shop, and expert diesel mechanics within a few minutes walk. Grocery stores are within a mile or so, as are Tippy's Tavern, West Marine (closing this month unfortunately), and theres another restaurant called The Oarhouse five minutes away by dinghy. Pelican's Perch was a GREAT find for us, and I very highly recommend it for anyone on a budget needing to do work on their boat.

I…read morecalled needing a very specific remanufactured powerhead (engine block) and spoke with Jim, who told me he had what I needed and would send it to me right away, if I wired money into his account. I did as he requested, but when the powerhead arrived, not only was it the wrong year and model, but it wasn't a remanufactured powerhead at all. He sent me a used, messed up powerhead. There was carbon on the piston heads (from use), and old parts inside. This was not the remanufactured powerhead I ordered. I called jim immediately, and he argued with me, saying he sent the right head. I had to have my Tech call him and explain the differences in the models...and he was supposed to be an expert? He said he would not give a refund unless I pay to have send him the wrong head back. I'm already out $6,300! Then he tried to send another wrong unit, saying it would work fine - even though it was not the model I bought. I normally check people out before sending money, but he recently changed the company name.
