Was wandering around the internet lookin at places I deployed to in my National Guard career and came across the Day Vendors Court. Mmmm brings back memories. I was deployed to the border to assist the Border patrol at the Tohono O'odoham reservation. I drove my guys three teams of four soldiers in a 12 pax van to Sells every three days and saw the roadside cooking going on and decided to stop and try it. Of course the guys all whined and complained until they got thier first bite of the delicious food. From then on it was a regular stop before heading back to Tucson for 48 hours. Driving back to Tucson at 80 miles per hour with one hand on the steering wheel and one hand around a combo popover made the time fly by. Oh and sorry for all the police cruisers I blasted past and didnt stop (then you saw we were well armed military and stopped) and some times sped up... Ahh good times. read more
