Grabbed a drink, wandered for a minute, and didn't feel like I had to keep my guard up or rush out. The guy behind the counter had that easygoing, small-town vibe. We exchanged a few words, nothing deep, but it felt genuine. Not scripted, not forced. Just normal human interaction, which is weirdly refreshing when you've been bouncing from stop to stop. Bathroom was clean enough that I didn't hesitate, which is about the highest compliment I can give a gas station bathroom. Only reason I'm stopping at four stars is because, well, it's still a gas station in the desert. It's not a destination. But for where it is, it's solid across the board.
