He led in room and had hair on toilet. Got another room and found used washcloths hanging on shower rod. Lanham, MD is nice but this place is trash. My two kids and I stayed here for 2 nights. It is a very convenient location to restaurants and the Prince George Mall. Our rooms seem to have recent renovations, which one thought were nice. Comfortable space, but somewhat small. We didn't spend much time in our room for the two days. There is a microwave and refrigerator. I did see a miniature fitness room. There aren't many amenities here. Free parking is available and there is a washer and dryer. Don't expect to get in a pool, hot tub, or to have free breakfast. I would stay here again it wasn't great, but it wasn't poor either. Also, do not let the lobby fool you. Upon entering the lobby it looked outdated and gloomy. The lobby could definitely use a lift to match the renovated rooms. read more

Checked in around 7pm, the front desk was surrounded by bullet proof glass, front desk clerk was nice. However she needs to be trained on privacy. While checking in I had a complete stranger come and stand directly next to me, in my personal space. She did not direct them to stand behind me for my personal space and privacy. She proceeded to have my personal information (DL and CC) within eye shot of 2 male individuals. She photocopied my DL which I was uncomfortable with, with no explanation for that process. She proceeded to show and say my room number out aloud for them to hear. At that time I was alone. Upon exiting the elevator on my floor i was hit with the smell of cigarettes. The room smelled like they tried to cover up the smell of smoke with air fresheners. The room was totally unacceptable. There was black mold in the bathroom, the fridge did not close and was not cold, plaster on majority of the ceiling and on wall as if they had a leak and were still working on it. The microwave was dirty, the blinds and bathroom also were dirty. I went right back downstairs and requested a refund and went somewhere else. I should have known better and I usually do not stay at days inn. However it was a last minute situation. I will never be back and I will never recommend! read more

Don't be fooled by the new pictures of the rooms, rooms are outdated and dirty with cigarette smells and dirty stains. Heat was also not working properly. Loud noises and prostitution. Check in was fine. the room was cool. It was the bathroom that was a NO for me the bottom of the tub had 2 hairs in it. May not seem like much but during this Carona Virus you would think they would clean more carefully. The shower head was dirty and the rods were rusty. I tried calling the front desk for extra towels ti place at the bottom of the tub ( after we sanitized the entire room )the guy who answered the phone told me thatvthere weren't any extra towel. I had to send my boyfriend down to get them. He even gave him a hard time about them but eventually handed them over. And as for my $50 deposit , I apparently won't be getting that back. I stayed here for about two weeks while apartment hunting as well as a few other hotels in the area. The beds were the most comfortable HERE. The ambiance is right, hotel is secure (need room key for elevator) and the staff is friendly. Melissa at the front desk is super sweet (I think that's her name). Even the housekeeping is nice. I was visiting a guest and I observed a supervisor name Monqiue treat an older short nice Latina lady bad cursing at her and stated in her own words "Hurry the fuck up". The Supervisor Monique and the Manager Mr Piyush Patel is bias towards the Latinos or Hispanics. The manager Piyush Patel took sides over one supervisor employee over the Latina employee. I don't like how this place is runned. As a guest I should not have to observe drama while visiting my boyfriend at the hotel. This is a terrible hotel if your Hispanic just take some precautions on your stay and if you visit this hotel because you will be treated with drama and you will more than likely you'll see the drama from foreign Indian Management supervisors against Latinos women. The place is the worst for 1 its right by the amtrack railway every 20mins a train comes by blowing the horn there are big boxes of furniture in the hallways..which makes it difficult to get to your room with luggage in hand or that much difficult or impossible with the luggage cart. Only giving one star as I can't give zero. DO NOT judge this book by it's cover. Outside looks very nice, but once inside, everything from the bulletproof glass surround the front desk to the staff and customer service was the most uninviting I've ever experienced. We had booked a non-smoking room and was put in a smoking room on the 3rd floor with a window that had no safety mechanism on it so opened all the way with no screen even! After passing through the marijuana-infested hallway to go try our luck at another room, the manager simply says, "I can't help you, there are no other rooms. As for the window and marijuana: no one else is complaining..." So yeah, wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy--even knowing that this could've been just a bad day for everything--there's always something better. read more

This hotel was basic, cheap, and close to the Metro for easy access to DC. There were no frills of any kind. The wireless worked ok and it was quiet in the room despite being on a busy road. The jacuzzi drained constantly (even with closed drain). The jacuzzi buttons didn't work except to turn it on and off (and that button was missing/ had to stick finger inside jacuzzi and push internal switch). The window crank was broken leaving the window constantly open (the maintenance guy went outside and pushed the window shut as much as possible and my husband propped the screen back in as much as possible). SECURITY ISSUE was ground floor!!! The front desk didn't record any of the damage and when went to check out the new staff were clueless and rude! Our stay this time was very noisy. Early morning commotion going on in the hallway. Not sure what was going on but it sounded like someone was locked out of their room. The person trying to get in, it was horrible. Need new rugs in the room. The woman who cleaned our room had an attitude because she had to change our sheets. In the beginning . . . When walking into the lobby, there is an odor. Not a great start. The front desk staff, though, was great. They had my reservation (made 2 months in advance and not refundable), gave me the key and sent me on my way. Third floor smoking. I'd asked for smoking, but gosh! change the filters and open window between guests. Also, if you're going to have smoking room, buy deodorizers that eliminate the smell. The housekeeping staff was great. Fast and efficient. Because I was long term, eight days, I often needed nothing but coffee and lots of creamer, which was cheerfully provided. On the sixth day of my stay, the artwork above the bed fell o to the bed. Thankfully, I was not in it. Had I been, it would now be called GorDon's Inn! LOL! Took an hour and me going to front desk (after calling an hour before) for someone to come and remove it from the bed. He removed, swiped dust and debris from the bed with his hand and off he went. I HAVE THE TRANSACTION receipt when they charged my credit card! Customer service is not a priority here and they're refusing to refund my security deposit. It just so happen me and my daughter and son was passing by and needed to stay over very quickly and the service from the front desk was trashy. I didn't have my drivers license physically but I had a picture on my phone but they didn't take it but still took my money even though I didn't spend the night there. I booked Days Inn Lanham for me and my clients because it was close to the wedding reception we were attending. "My first impression was "Nice Hotel" I was impressed with the flower Garden in the front of the hotel and the surrounding area was clean. The reception /Guest sitting area was well decorated "Ala European style". The rooms were clean and comfortable with coffe/tea maker. Days Inn Lanham has its own Restaurant, Bar area, Gym and Pool table. My husband and I enjoyed delicious curry goat, rice and mouthwatering salad. Afterward, we played pool. The lady at the reception area was very nice, warm and friendly. There are other amenities around such as Red Lobster, Macdonald, Seven Eleven, Gas Stations and more. I recommend this hotel. The moment we walked in and went into the room there was a bed bug crawling around. We hadn't even taken our shoes off so we turned right around and went and let the lady at the front desk now and by her reaction it's obvious that this is something that they knew was a major problem she expressed no type of concern basically you can check out now and you can find out if you'll get your money back when my manager decides to come in tomorrow but until then there's nothing that I can do for you with the nastiest attitude her name was Rashawn and she gave me her managers into who is Sara Patel who for one was late to work the next day I was told to call at 10 she wasn't there so it's call back at 10:30 still wasn't there told to call back at 11 still wasn't there then I was just told she would call me whenever she came in and guess what still haven't received a call. I stayed in this hotel on October 23 and checked out in October 24th. I realized that I had left my ipad in the room on the bed after I checked out. I called and spoke with someone at the front desk and they said no one turned an ipad in. They told me that no one had checked in but housekeeping had cleaned the room. She checked the room and said that it wasn't in there so I know who ever cleaned the room had to have found it because no new person came in the room. I called to speak with the housekeeping supervisor and she never called me back. I spoke with the General Manager Piyush Patel and he was very rude and nasty when speaking to me. He has zero customer service skills and clearly don't care about his customers. I have stayed there several times but not anymore. They ignored my calls and gave me the run around which leads me to believe they know what happened to my ipad and are covering for that person. I only gave them one star because I couldn't choose no stars. Don't EVER stay in this hotel because they employ thieves and the General Manager is very VERY rude. read more

The area is not safe hence the reason they have bullet proof glass around tv reception desk, you bane to use your key to use the elevator and they have security gates around the parking lot. I stayed here for two nights cost me a little under $200. The rooms are recently renovated. Refrigerator and a microwave. The TV was impossible to connect anything to him didn't swivel. The bathroom was nice. Perfect for one person. My only complaint was the staff they weren't very polite or helpful. This hotel has the worrying practice of photocopying your credit card on check in. Yes, with the CVV security code and everything. When I objected to this being kept on file, they threatened to cancel the reservation, which would have left me with nowhere to stay at midnight on a Wednesday. Truth is that the room was okay and the majority of employees were perfectly nice, but the check in experience was so abysmal that they get a single star. The front desk is behind bullet-proof glass. When we arrived one woman was ahead of us in line. She was seriously angry and I figured out she was essentially being ignored by the woman behind the counter who was holding on the phone with someone else. Finally, the woman looks up and helps the woman. Hard to tell who is at fault here, so I say nothing. I just wait and wait and wait and wait. Literally for 20 minutes this woman is holding on the phone and not looking at me. By now there are five people behind me. I give her the benefit of the doubt that she's working on an emergency, but no... suddenly she looks up and asks, "What do you need?" I tell her I'm checking in and have been standing her for over 20 minutes. "No you haven't," she tells me. "Yes we have, we explain." In the end, we have almost no more verbal internchange with her. I had zero interest in a fight and just wanted to check in and the paperwork all came back correct. This same woman was there every other night we were in the hotel and was actually even nice to us when we spoke to her another night. But I have to say, it was pathetic that she made us stand there, didn't apologize, and even accused us of lying. Everyone behind us in line did chirp in that we were telling the truth. Do not think of staying here. Staff are not professional at all. Booked a room 2 months in advance and wasn't going to get charged until check-in. Only for me to get here after 9hours and 2 flights from California for the front desk worker to tell me my reservation has been canceled. No email, No text, No information what so ever. He did not even offer to assist me in getting a new room. All he could say was there where rooms but i will have to pay more for them. How can you cancel a reservation without any notification? Too bad I have to even give one star, doesn't deserve any and very good reason for that. First off, this is the most disgusting hotel that I have step foot in. Harassed on the way in and harassed on the way out. The management was the most unprofessional/uneducated that I have dealt with in a long time. Lady at the front desk had an attitude as soon as we walked in, if you didn't want my business just say so. The room was absolutely disgusting, moldy, Smokey and just unsanitary. The blankets had cigarette burns in them and felt like a worn out egg crate. When we asked for new blankets they brought us the only 2 they had left or that's what they just stated. The blankets they brought us were baby blankets, big enough to swaddle a new born. After experiencing all this and standing in the middle of the room scratching my head asking why am I going to pay $96.00 for this, we decided to leave. as we asked the management for a refund they were quick to give us our money back with no concerns as to why, not one question or apologies.
