Paul Padda Law - They wanted to charge me $500 for a consultation. But they promote "free" on yelp and their OWN WEBSITE

From that very first conversation, though, I felt like I was in good hands. They didn't treat me like just another case -- they actually listened, asked thoughtful questions, and made sure they understood what I was going through. What really meant a lot to me was how patient and clear they were. Legal stuff can be overwhelming, but they broke everything down in a way that made sense and kept me updated along the way. I never felt left in the dark, which made a huge difference during a stressful time. You can tell they genuinely care about their clients. They were responsive whenever I reached out, and I always felt like my case mattered to them. In the end, they worked hard to get a positive outcome, and I'm really grateful for that. If you're looking for a law firm that treats you like a person, not just paperwork, I'd definitely recommend Paul Padda Law.

I called this firm a while ago about a consumer case involving construction issues…read more The paralegal got back to me pretty quickly, and I was happy about that, but asked so few questions that he did not really get at any important points of the case. A few weeks went by and I asked if there were any movement, would the attorney take the case, and I was told it was still being evaluated and the paralegal had been out sick. Fast forward several more weeks and I still hadn't heard anything, so I messaged the paralegal again, who got back to me in a day and said they were going to pass on the case. Of course they were, they literally know 2% about it. It's really too bad because there are multiple legal issues clearly documented in this situation. Overall, the experience was crappy. I don't think it should take any law firm five or six weeks to tell you they're not going to take your case. That's not why I'm giving one star though, it's how they conducted themselves throughout this process.

Both are owned by Steven R. Burris, as stated to me by Steven R. Burris. This might confuse people reading each entity's reviews. Despite ever-so-slightly different ratings, this/these law office does not demonstrate the professionalism and expertise expected in personal injury cases, let alone in any legal firm. In my experience, this/these law practice did not communicate well, if at all. The staff consistently failed to follow up or carry out instructions and commitments. After weeks of mixed messages and incorrect information, I learned that staff members had attributed comments to me that I did not make. Inaccurate records raise concerns about case handling and legal expertise. I noticed these issues early on and gave them a few weeks to turn things around. I even allowed for a situation with a legal assistant where she had a personal matter that I was never told about until about 4 weeks into our engagement. After 2 more weeks with nothing changing, I chose to move to a different firm. Within days after moving, I began receiving treatment from the new law firm. In nearly 6 weeks at Burris & Thomas, aka Steve R. Burris, I did not receive the required treatment or any comprehensible or lucid communications. I also found inaccurate statements from this firm regarding external communications, which reflects on the firm as a whole. I am not sure why Steven R. Burris and Burris & Thomas are listed separately, so I posted the same review for both. I would highly recommend giving considerable consideration before hiring Burris & Thomas, and/or Steven R. Burris, attorney at law.

I don't hand out praise to law firms lightly, especially after going through a Workers'…read moreCompensation battle that had more moving parts than it should have. But Carter Cullen (Bertoldo Carter Smith & Cullen) in Las Vegas earned it. My case involved complex medical and causation issues tied to occupational injury, and like most Workers' Comp cases, it wasn't just about facts, it was about whether anyone was willing to actually connect the dots and fight for them. That's where Javier stood out. From the beginning, he approached the case with a level of strategic thinking that went beyond the usual checkbox lawyering. He understood that this wasn't a simple claim and treated it that way. He took the time to see the full picture, not just the convenient parts, and built the case accordingly. What impressed me most was his persistence. Workers' Compensation systems are built to slow things down, minimize claims, and push people to give up. Javier didn't play along with that. He pushed back, methodically and effectively, and ultimately secured a ruling that didn't just resolve my case but set a meaningful precedent in how similar issues can be approached going forward. That kind of outcome doesn't happen by accident. It takes preparation, patience, and a willingness to go further than most attorneys are willing to go. Communication was also solid throughout. I was never left guessing where things stood or what the next move was. And when decisions needed to be made, they were explained in a way that made sense without watering anything down. If you're dealing with a straightforward claim, you probably have options. If you're dealing with something complex, contested, or being minimized by the system, you need someone who actually knows how to navigate that reality. In my experience, Carter Cullen, and specifically Javier, does. They don't just process cases. They advocate.

I FOUND MYSELF RESPONSIBLE FOR MEDICAL BILLS!!!…read more I had a car accident a year and a half ago and hired Bertoldo to represent me. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. * After I signed, I received no updates for five months. * It took four months for him to send me to a pain relief doctor. The first doctor only worked Thursdays before 5 p.m., which didn't fit my schedule. The chiropractor showed me multiple attempts (four from their office and three from me) to contact Bertoldo's office before they finally approved a change. Even the doctor was surprised at the delay, since accident victims are usually seen immediately. * When my doctor recommended an MRI, Bertoldo's office dragged their feet again. I called repeatedly, and he even missed two scheduled phone call appointments with me, which I found extremely disrespectful. * Eventually, Bertoldo emailed me saying the MRI "wouldn't help my case." He insisted I drive to his office for an in-person meeting. Given his repeated failure to honor phone calls, I refused, saying I would only discuss matters by phone. Instead of apologizing or trying to rebuild trust, he became upset and dismissed me as a client. That's when things got worse: * During our initial consultation, he assured me I would never have to pay medical bills out of pocket. But after dismissing me, he told MEDICAL PROVIDERS TO FORWARD THEIRS BILLS DIRECT TO ME, leaving me responsible. * He had also made me believe my case wasn't strong and that I'd be unlikely to get full compensation. He even tried to pressure me into fixing cosmetic damage to my car, saying I'd otherwise receive very little. Thankfully, I found a new lawyer. With them, I received the maximum possible compensation without repairing my car. This proved everything Bertoldo told me was wrong. To make matters worse, he later attempted to take part of my settlement, even though I had kept the email he personally sent releasing me and any future lawyer from his fee. In summary, this firm showed a lack of communication, professionalism, and honesty throughout my case. They caused unnecessary stress, delayed my treatment, left me with medical bills, and misled me about my chances. I would strongly advise anyone to look elsewhere for representation
